Great Video. It's a Sad Shadow of it's former self. It upsets me to see The Leeds Market in this state. Leeds City Council have killed it over the years. A part of it died when the fire happened in 1975/76, it's not been the same since. It should be cherished as an important part of the history of Leeds but I can see it being redeveloped in my life time. I'm 63 now, grew up in Armley in the 60's and 70's and spent many a Saturday in Leeds Market, it used to be heaving, so many shoppers, sellers calling out their produce, every shop busy. now look at it, sad, just sad.

Great video of the market. It’s a shame the main meat butcher has left to go elsewhere. Rumours of closure. Would be sad to see it go 😘
