Enjoying seeing this again. All the original girls were excellent. Then….Su,Moa & Yui come on……hindsight is always 20/20 but it was fairly clear they had something special about them & that they were most likely to transcend the parent group. They probably didn’t expect worldwide success but the potential was always clear. Scoopers, Mini-Pati and Twinklestars were great fun but were never going to sell out Tokyo Dome, (twice) Wembley, La Forum or Budokan (a dozen or so times). ❤
All the subunits did very well, but when Su-Chan, Moa and Yui came, they kind of blew the doors off. I do wonder if BM ever realized how big they were going to really be.
This is classic solid gold. One question, was there anyone NOT talented from Sakura Gakuin? This group was THE group, simple as that. In my opinion and this is how I see this, Ayami Muto, Ayaka Myoshi, Airi Matsui, and Suzuka Nakamoto were the four pillars of Sakura Gakuin. Just my opinion, but this is truly how I see it. Several things I noticed, one, it seems that when Babymetal, then as a subunit came out, they got the bigger pop than the other subunits. Or at least that's how it appears to me. Second, how many subunits were Moa and Yui in, to me they were the workhorses of Sakura Gakuin. And lastly, Scoopers had a song that reminded me of 1960s British girl group songs, nothing wrong with it, it was done perfectly to the last details. All in all, again, Sakura Gakuin was THE standard when it comes to idol groups, none like it, and I doubt none will ever be like it again. Kitsune Nation Forever 🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊 and Cherry Blossom Army represent ALWAYS 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸.
In my humble opinion when SG began they basically had lightning in a bottle. It was amazing. Once those first girls began to graduate they tried their best to keep the lighting still going and I am not taking away from ANY of the girls who came after these first girls but it seems after 2015 it just went different in personalities and such. It was more of them trying to fill a role vs being their own unique thing or personality. When it was new and fresh no one knew what to do or how to really go about things and it was just unexpected but then as time went on it felt like I was watching a shadow of what was once there. Again, this is nothing at all toward the girl's themselves, they are all amazing talented and some have and are doing great things like Momoko with BM these days, ONEFIVE, ect ect but more of SG itself. Even the Nendo tests went from this awkward silly fun classroom atmosphere to later looked like a office building setting. Hope this all makes sense.
Ironically, considering how her career has turned out, Airi considered herself untalented and had terrible stage fright. The only SG girl I'd even think to consider "untalented" is _maybe_ Yunano, who wasn't a great singer nor known for her dancing which could explain why she dropped out of entertainment in high school. Nonetheless she's well-loved amongst the other members and fans. Even the post-2015 SG girls, often shafted, are talented in their own rights. Sakura Gakuin should (hopefully will) go down in J-Entertainment history as a gold standard for Junior-Idol groups.
omg ya desde esa edad eran unas Princesas muy talentosas, con razón son todas unas Profesionales al día de hoy son una de mis bandas favoritas, lastima que Yui metal ya no esté de le extraña
I loved the video! The 3AM girls have become my favorites after Babymetal. Ayami's new EP is great, Airi is acting a lot and has more self confidence than when in SG, Ayaka was in a Netflix show and Babymetal will have a new album this year. I love that there are so many reasons for us to be happy! Both kitsunes and fukeis :)

I know this is from over eleven years ago and this is the OG lineup, but it still breaks my brain nowadays to see _anyone_ being shorter than Ayami. This was of course when Yui was still "Baby Yui" -- Does she _look_ 12 here? No, but she was. Hard to believe she's only 6 months younger than Hinata (who was herself short in SG's early days compared to now).
@@Bigmac_cat The other groups do have music videos. Twinklestars for example have a MV for Please Please Please. BABYMETAL is a beast of its own. When SU graduated in 2012 SU should have been replaced in BM as it was a subunit like the other groups but BM was way to popular to do that. So YUI and MOA did SG things while still in SG and did BM outside of SG. This is why when SU graduated you did not see anymore BM stuff on SG things unless it was a tribute.
@@Bigmac_cat Like Buttons said, other subunits had music videos too. Twinklestars got MV's for two of their three songs. Logica also got 2 MV's. Mini-Pati didn't get any MV's but had by far the most songs (more than Babymetal when BM was still a SG subunit).

This video shows just what a powerhouse the original SG lineup was.
This is true. Between 2010 and 2012 were the heavy hitters. They set the standard, truly talented group.
