I was very much on the fence about a Battle Pass coming to Conan. After seeing this I am 100% against it. I'd rather take $10 and buy a full DLC of cosmetic items that I will forever have on every character I ever make than for a pass where some things are bound to 1 save as well as having to buy coins so that I can buy Bazaar items...This is the worst thing Funcom could have done imho...
I am with you on this one. I will likely never get my hands on anything worthwhile from this battlepass, and would much rather just stick to the DLC purchases. I am concerned I will never again get my hands on any new building/decors sets, because I do not have the time to waste grinding away at some inane battle-pass. Don't know what they are even hoping to accomplish here because it makes no sense to me for the type of game Conan Exiles is, just 100% giving me cashgrab vibes.
the battle pass are all account bound, not save or character bound, except a few of the free items that are just not unique skins, but skins of existing items you can place on anything (you can tell which items are these by them having that arcane eye on the eye patch at the start)

I'm with you... my luck I die and can't recover my body 10 min after using such a thing and it's gone forever. Give my one character the skill to craft the illusion so I can make them.
Ya it is kinda dumb. Other games who have done this make it account bound. So I don't understand why they don't do the same. In a way tho it would mean they wouldn't have to put out new skins. They would just reuse the current skins. Which again is kind of lazy. What made people get the battle pass in other games was the fact they were constantly putting out new skins. If they don't do that here this will fail hard. People will be all about it at first but if they keep reusing current skins people will treat it like every dlc play for a bit leave and wait for the next update
So it's just like a DLC pack without the building set and crom coins instead. Pro: You can use the crom coins to pay for the next battle pass (pseudo dlc pack) or use them in the cash shop to add more value. A lot of the skins look pretty good and unique. Con: It's much more annoying to purchase, because it's locked behind grind. FOMO. The consumables are filler... and just feel kinda insulting? Everyone can see through that these were added to artificialy increase to amount of break points and make it look like there is more stuff in it than there actually is. I still think that a battle pass doesn't fit the game at all. It's not a competitive lobby/ranked game. If you can only complete the challenges on official servers than funcom will fall flat on their face since most of the playerbase is either on privat PvE servers or are builders who won't touch official with a 10 foot pole. If you can just cheat through the challenges in single player than why not just sell the whole thing as a dlc or in the shop?
You have some interesting arguments/good feedback there. Just to confirm, you can do challenges on any server (official, private, single player). You can use cheats, but e.g. direct admin kills won't count for kill quests. It certainly is a lot faster to complete challenges with admin as you can teleport etc., but it still takes quite a while if you don't have bonus xp multipliers (I believe you get 5 a day, and they accumulate during the time you don't play to max 20).
I haven't played Conan Exiles since early 2021, so I was pleasantly surprised when I happen to see a funny video about players reacting to Zath on the Isle of Siptah, and that led me to Just Horse and your videos, making me realize that I've missed quite a few important updates. Guess what? I redownloaded the game on Saturday and am playing once again with so much joy that I hadn't felt in a long time! I'm looking forward to the Magic and Sorcery update and what that's to come. Thank you for another great video, my friend. I'm going to rewatch a few of your old ones that I've missed, especially the ones on decoration. SO MUCH FUN, I TELL YA!!!!!😄😍

Those Decor and Building Tips videos are amazing, if you've not yet watched them. They offer a lot of creative ideas that can be mimicked directly or used for inspiration.
This should be a huge slap in the face for those who have 6k hours and years back n forth with this game. Bought the DLCs only for them to get greedy and reach deeper in our pockets. Breaking up build sets is what really urks me , coupled with the over pricing.
Not sure why people hate it so much when it only adds cosmetic. It doesn't flash it in your face like other games do, you still get some alright stuff in the free version. It's legit working for the dlc you paid for and even then you can just admin panel your way through it if you really wanted to as they don't mind how you do it they only care that you simply play the game as the challenges are trying to get you to do.
I really don’t like battle passes I like the stuff in them but the fact that if I don’t complete what I payed money for I feel like I wasted my money, I’m hoping the store gets some of these items occasionally. Just cause I want those building pieces but would rather pay for just them I don’t need everything else
That's what I hate about the stupid battlepass system so many games are doing now. if you dont play enough you miss out on things and will never be able to get them.
In that case it's probably best to do challenges first to unlock rewards and only pay once you know you've managed to reach the rewards you want and then claim them - at least there is the option to do that. I wouldn't pay first either if I wouldn't be sure I can make it.
@kostas kladianos You can purchase BP levels, so yes, you can buy the levels instead of unlocking them with challenges - but tbh, that would be ridiculously expensive and imo not worth it al all.
@The FireHouse I doubt a mod would be allowed to rip off the exact same skins. And you can't admin spawn anything from the BP, Bazaar or DLCs unless you own the content - since forever. So this suggestion is just silly.
Like some of the arcane items but kinda crappy that half a dozen levels are wasted on torch color variations. Also makes me worry if the wall/floor paints are dyable or will color variations of those be in future pass rewards...
I agree about the wall torch color variations. A better idea would be to give out ONE, the WHITE one, as a rewards, but make it dyeable. We could then make it any color we want to by crafting and dropping in a dye. It would give us a better, much more desirable and useful reward, without wasting so many spots on essentially repeating the same item.
Like everything except the illusory items (schematics to just permanently make the items would be way better :/ ) and the gods-forsaken colored torches.... those a cheap cop-out and I hope there's a way to get them out of my build options...
Agreed for the illusory items and good point with the torches and the potential clutter these type of items could create in the build menu. Maybe a drop-down for color variations would be the way to go.
Okay some people probs didn't watch the dev stream then I guess, The battle pass is the new DLC Instead of getting your items instantly you grind for it to get you to play the game and go through the story of the battle pass as it's a language we have no knowledge of. Most of the items you keep forever the ones you don't are the spells you can cast just in a little throwable and then ways to change your armour with armour either from DLC or just in game plus you can legit just grind through the whole thing in admin mode. The devs themselves said do it how you want to complete it as they do understand that not everyone has a lot of free time but enjoy the game. Let alone the Bazaar items are on rotation so it's not like as if things are gone forever if you don't like a item it will just change anyway plus it's not like other games where it's in your face to buy the battle pass. It's so well hidden they don't even mention the battle pass if you just got the game and another thing is you only gotta buy it once then grind through it to then have enough crom coins to get the next one free. So if you don't even have to spend much it's a one time cheap purchase for you to enjoy the game and get some really cool cosmetics as you would with the usual DLC. Not sure why so many are saying that you can't keep all the items in the battle pass if you go into your feats you'll see a new one of ancestor knowledge that's where your battle pass stuff will be for you to keep forever as long as you claimed the item it's yours forever. Plus it's a good things Funcom is doing this as it's not just a simple dlc it's more a story in the way they made it pushing you to go out to complete the challenges to get through the battle pass how you choose to do it.
I loved the floor and wall paints, all of the arcane items, the undead horses, and the skull brazier. The armors looked good, but are too primitive for my general tastes (as a role-player, I'd only use one if I was specifically playing some type of primitive character, such as a Pict or Dafari.) The axe was actually too fancy. It, like some of the DLC axes, did not look realistic enough for my tastes. (Visually speaking, I think my favorite axe in the game is the level 30 something Cimmerian axe. Fancy enough to look cool, while still being realistic in overall style. I'd rather see embellishments on the handle, hilt, and pommel, or runes, blood grooves, and similar types of additions on the blades for swords, daggers, and axes.) The hyena variations were cool, but I actually love the one we got from a previous DLC (I forget if it was the Khitan or Yamatai DLC.) I imagine we will get more pet skins in future passes. My favorite war paint was the one called 'Slashes.' I could see my putting that on a variety of characters, especially since I use a mod that allows the player to change the color of a war paint design.
Don't like how the Illusory Balancing Dagger at lvl 23 is a one time use consumable. . . I'm assuming it balances on a table and is not for combat? would prefer it be a combat dagger skin. And the Illusory Setite Cult Helmet at lvl 47 would be a nice reusable skin. . . O well. Do like the Arcane Motif Frames but I wish they were for more building sets like blackIce and Glass also or even make them useable with DLC buildings, and the pet and horse skins/saddles are ok, The Namtarite Axe at lvl 48 looks cool. But all those torches and consumable potions (I'm hoping that in the game we can make more of thos potions and this isn't like the only place we will ever get them from deal) kinda just help to bring the value of it down. Couldn't care about War/wall/floor paints and the emotes any less, and we used to get so much more for our money with the DLCs before. . . I get this is basically a one time payment for all future passes as long as you get and save all the coins, but it still feels a bit lackluster. Those wall paints are so dull and worthless, the Necromancy wall paint is just a curved line on the wall, could have been a cool looking skull, but no, here enjoy this curved line. thats how you demonstrate a lack of effort. We've seen better looking mount skins from mods.
Just to confirm, the Balancing Daggers are a skin as well, like the eyepatch and helmet (all 3 are free items that can be unlocked without purchasing the BP).
One-time consumable cosmetic skins from the BP are spectacularly bad as opposed to being account-learned recipes like DLC items. What if you happen to die and some bug causes you to lose your corpse? What if you need to change servers? Are emotes only usable for a single character too? I had low expectations and this is already looking worse than I could have imagined.
There are only 3 illusory skins and the potions that are one-time claimable. Everything else is unlocked account-wide as knowledge. These one-off things are also FREE rewards anyone can claim without paying for the Battle Pass.
Wow. Personally, for me only the two Building-Sets are interesting. I hope there will be a way to buy single Elements from the Battlepass, because most of the Stuff I don´t want in a Battlepass (like a single colored Torch ...). Too many Potions and useless Stuff in there I think at the moment. If there will be no change till the Release it feels like a huge Cashgrab.
Well, see it like that. If you play regularly, you will easily unlock the whole pass and get your 1200 coins back, so you can use them for the next pass and so on. Or you use them in the store. While not all items might be to one's liking in the battle pass, for a one-off purchase you "can" get all future passes and whatever goodies or non-goodies are in them. So it's not that bad.
@@deahh9617 All torches are learned as Knowledge (formerly known as Feats) and unlocked account-wide, so you can craft them as often as you want on all your characters. That goes for all the other items as well, except for the few free ones we highlighted as "one-off" claim. Hope that helps!
While it's nice that we can get enough crom coins for the second battle pass. I doubt they are going to put crom coins in every one so we can just get the pass forever since they won't make money that way.I think what they will end up doing is taking out the crom coins in the second battle pass so when the 3rd one comes out we will have to pay another 10 dollars then put the coins back in for the 3rd so we can get the 4th for free and repeat so it will end up being 10 dollars for two battle passes .
Not only is there no guarantee that enough crom coins will be but also the price of the battle pass. Plus this "you can afford the next one if you just keep playing" makes the game into a chore rather than a game. If all the missions line up with what you want to do today that is great, but if I need to do go out of my way to complete them then it is no different than homework. I also don't play that often, but constantly come back to the game. I am one of those that will suffer the most. I enjoyed the game, but now it is time to say goodbye to it.
(accidentally posted this on a different video somehow?) if you play enough to finish the battle pass, you only ever need to buy one and then you can continue to get the rest of them for free from then on, very much worth it if you know you will finish it
How a battle pass can fly in any game nowadays is beyond me. I haven’t seen a single person that’s for battlepasses aside battle Royale games. It’s like every pitch meeting for it takes place on Opposite Day.

The build tile, decoration set, and animal skins are interesting and feel like half of a regular-priced for a Conan Exiles dlc set with the rest in the item bazaar. The way they are distributed in the battle pass runs into the fear of missing out/FOMO problems battle pass systems prey on. The Bazaar is just as problematic, with the item rotations in and out of the store, and with the other half of the arcane build set inside it, it breaks up a finished build set over multiple purchases instead of single sets. Not a fan of the model.
Many fair points. There are some really nice items across the BP and Bazaar, but all together - if one wants them all, it will most likely get fairly pricey. At least you theoretically need to buy the BP only once and get enough Crom Coins back to purchase the subsequent ones, but of course that requires playing regularly. I doubt many will keep up for long.
@@Pixelcave Agreed, the build set, permanent skins, and decor are nice, however the model is likely an unsustainable one. If funcom's battle pass system is like that of other similar systems in survival-exploration games the target audience is that of the compulsive purchaser. A marketing mechanic that is not great for the health of the game.
Thanks for the video, more dungeons and adding a new map section to the right side of the Volcano is all I want and would happily pay for that added content, this battle pas is a big NO NO from me 😒😒
According to Funcom it's highly unlikely that the map will be expanded in that area (there are multiple dungeons below the surface which would cause issues). But yes, added map content in general would be great.
I really hope that the new monetization system won't be too different from the culture DLCs pricewise. if it's still 10 EUR per set I'm probably fine with it.
The Battle Pass will be around 10 Euros, but the Bazaar is the actual "replacement" for the culture DLC packs, offering multiple smaller item packs and most likely costing more compared. We'll know more once the prices will be officially confirmed.
I see myself using less than a quarter of the stuff that's in it. The skins that are one use are dumb, also the set cult helmet is already in a DLC so that's insulting that it's now a free(I think) piece that you get
I think they'll get quite a bit of feedback in regards to the items on offer, especially the skins etc. - at least judging by all the comments here. They said they'd monitor feedback and adjust content on offer if it makes sense - let's see how the Battle Pass will evolve over time.
I cant get my head around the whole claimed by 1 CHARACTER ONCE thing.. do they not realise that conan is a game you restart over and over.. sometimes on different servers? What if the server does a wipe? Do you lose all the 1 time claimed stuff? It makes no sense? So unless you either claim them on your sp which lets be honest noone plays sp apart from using admin, you will unlock rewards that are then wiped along with your server and you can never get them again?? Wtf.. i mean i HATE these cash grab models (looking at you ESO crown store) but even more i hate that i cant, as an adult who has limited time to invest in a whole month just to get a building set i could just buy and use right away before??? Stupid way to go for players but hey its all about money i guess 🙄 ** plus nothing WORSE than feeling Forced to play a game their way just to get stuff.. (and im looking at You F76 this time for that!)
You bring up many points and some interesting feedback. Just to clarify, the "once claimable" items are all FREE items anyone can claim, you don't need to buy the Battle Pass for those. While I get the "once" argument for the spell potions that are simply free tasters for the sorcery feature, I agree that being able to claim a skin only once is less than ideal. It should be at least "once per character". Personally I'm less worried about the one-off freebies but more about the requirement to spend time for something you pay for. I think it should be either the one or the other - either the BP is free, so you have to pay with "time" you spend in game unlocking the items (fair enough), or you pay for the BP and get the items right away. But I guess that's not where games are headed nowadays, sadly.
@@Pixelcave i completely agree with you there, im happy for consumables to be 1x things- that makes sense but yeh a skin or mount being a 1x collect seems an oversight on their part. Again i agree, Theres nothing more game-ruining than jumping on for some chill building/decorating/questing, only to find you are on a time limit to play their way to unlock something you *technically* already paid for! Like the challenges that ruined FO76, because you'd feel obligated to do them before you actually got to do what you wanted to do in game that day. If these paid unlocks are relatively easy to unlock/ only take a small amount of time, say a total of maybe 48hours out of the 3 months thats not too bad, but i dont wanna be forced to grind Every day for 3 months in order to just scrape by and get to the end rewards, that would kill it entirely for me
The consumables are free for everyone. But yes, getting that stuff wiped doesn’t seem like something they thought of or probably just ignored. Despite its many flaws, I’ll get it because it pays for itself. Ten bucks and I can get every battlepass to ever come out.
It had me confused at first as well, as I agree it looks like a wolf skin. But I double-checked and it's really for Hyenas. I personally prefer the Armored Hyena skin, I think it looks pretty cool.
That's a good question. Purely judging by the cost, it feels ok for those playing regularly as you get your money (Crom Coins) back when you unlock the whole pass and can purchase the next one. But if you don't have the time, it feels still like an investment of time in addition to money, which actually bothers us personally more. The building pieces are great indeed, and hopefully they let us use more of the emotes with thralls as well.

That's a good question, haven't tried that yet, but I would say it's likely. Making the BP completely worthless is a bit of an exaggeration I'd say - there are only 3 illusory item skins and all 3 of these awards are FREE, you don't even have to buy the Battle Pass to unlock/claim them. However, I think it would be better if you could at least get it as a one-time use "per" character.
The illusory items are a one off thing but then again you can just use the new benches to do what the illusory items would do. And the other items not counting the throwable spells you keep forever as long as you claim them you keep them and it goes to all servers you play on it will stick to you just make sure you do claim them before it ends otherwise you won't get your items. Plus the Throwable spells you can just legit do yourself given you have the corruption to cast some of them and if they didn't set it to one character bind people would spam then but everything else is account binded just like the twitch drops

I already have the flex emote without buying the battlepass. Are they selling already made findable in game emotes and putting them behind pay walls? "Crosslegged sit" was being sold in the bazaar
The "Flex" emote from the Battle Pass and "Crosslegged Sit" from the Bazaar can't be found in the world, are you sure you're not using any mods that provide you with more emote options? And if you think you could find it in game, where - because we definitely never found those two.

I got both the crosslegged and the kneeling sit in my emote wheel.. even better, the kneeling sit is something I can do right after creating my character after I hold R for the wheel. And no, I have not bought ANYTHING ever from funcom except the base game + DLC packs.. So they ARE selling things that are already in the game to us again... Funcom and Conan has gone to shit imho
@@Devonaxx Right, I have read some reports about it on the forum as well in recent days. They definitely granted those by accident though - you can't find them in the world and we only unlocked them when we previewed the BP and Bazaar items before launch. So upon launch they must have accidentally unlocked them for everyone, as they are clearly not intended to be free and meant to be unlocked through Bazaar and BP. The big question now, is if they will remove them from everyone again - as selling them would clearly make zero sense otherwise. The fact that they are in the Bazaar/BP while you still have them for free, is only down to them being very slow. Let's see what happens.
I appreciate them adding this, but there needs to be a lot MORE to do in the game. Otherwise, it's just repetition you are paying someone to be able to do. I get paid to do repetition in the real world. That's a job. I don't pay someone else, so I can work at a job.

The Battle Pass is completely unnecessary in my honest opinion. You expect it in a FPS game but not a survival game. Unless there is a way you can disable this for me personally, I am not going to play a survival game where you will level up passively because that just feels like entitlement. If there is a silver lining somewhere when I do eventually play the game without the battle pass running, I am probably not going to play this game again. Otherwise the horse skins and armor looks pretty cool.
Well, the Battle Pass is completely optional, so just ignore it if you don't like it. While you might "passively" complete some challenges while playing, I doubt you'll unlock many levels that way. Why would that be such an issue? There is no onscreen "quest tracker" that would clutter your interface. Unless you unlock some of the free levels by chance and claim them, you won't get anything. Being able to do challenges and unlock levels without buying the Battle Pass is at least a way for people to judge by the end of a Chapter if they want to buy it or not - depending how far they got.
@@Pixelcave Well! I have been using Multigun's mod for the undead mount since forever, so those were quite awesome. The armor with the horns around the neck, the corrupted skull brazier, the pet skins. My goodness it is all done so well making it very hard to choose but I can tell you guys one thing, my little dark heart is in absolute ecstasy with all the dark rituals and cosmetics being added. I can barely contain myself!!!🤘😈
Looks cool and all, but there are far too many items in the Pass that can only be claimed by one character. God forbid we have more than one character going at any time...
It's a total of 10 one-time claimable items, the 3 illusory skins and 7 potions. Keep in mind though, that all of these are free items anyone can claim, without paying for the Battle Pass. Then there are another 8 free claimable items, but those are permanently learned "account wide" feats (now called knowledge). The remaining 42 "paid" BP rewards include 10x 120 Crom Coins which can (if you want) pay for your next BP and so on. I don't want to justify the contents of the BP, I don't like everything about it either, but they could have as well simply advertised it as 32 rewards + coins, and probably nobody would have complained if they would have gotten additional freebies now and then. I agree that the freebies seemingly diminish the value, but if you wouldn't have known about them - or if they would have been marketed differently, the impression might be a different one.
I have yet to figure out how to make a lot of this stuff. What I’ve unlocked, is not where it says to make it. I don’t know if they are broken or something.
I dunno. The building pieces look good. The armors? The first one is... meh. The others look absolutely awful in my opinion. And Hyena skins? Who the eff uses Hyenas? I don't know, there is nothing in the pass that intrigues me. Are you sure that the illusionary items are only one use? I'd think they'd just be skins without stats, otherwise that's kind of... What if I like the visuals? Can I only ever have one item that looks like it? What if I loose it?
I agree, the armors and just the entire aesthetic of all the pieces looks very bland and uninspired. Whatever 12 year old who is designing the helmets needs to stop, there’s so many armor sets ruined by the dorkiest looking helmets imaginable.
@@Kazeteiru I always thought hyenas were under apprecietade by the community, they attack very fast, run fast and hardly ever miss because their attacks are very straight forward, and with the cripple they pretty much latch on whatever they are killing.
The armored hyena does look cool but I really though the abyssal hound and armored hyena were new animals. Why is the abyssal hound a hyena anyway? It’s literally a wolf. I’ll probably have one armored hyena in my base and that’s it. There’s no reason to have a hyena with you when greater wolves exist. Also…Sabretooth and playful pups.
Depends if or how many levels you have unlocked already. The regular Battle Pass costs 1200 Crom Coins, the Premium Pass with 15 levels already unlocked costs 3000 Crom Coins. You can also buy 1, 5 or 15 levels in addition to complete the Battle Pass as needed. Let's say you have zero levels, then you would buy the Premium Pass at 3000 and 3 x 15 levels at 1800 each - makes a total of 8400 Crom Coins. You could buy the biggest and smallest Crom Coin bundle to get 9000 Coins and that would set you back around US $60.
Let's hope Sorcery will revive the game, cuz it's playerbase is really low. Especially bad situation with Isle of Siptah. Those official servers are deserted.
I presume you have purchased the BP and claimed the Brazier of Skulls after unlocking it? Currently there seem to be quite a few issues about BP unlocks that can't be crafted, I'd suggest to report it in the official Conan Exiles forum so the devs can look into it.
Unfortunately, you can't. At least for now, no plans to make older Battle Pass items available have been announced. Once a Chapter is over, the Pass is gone.
The BP in my opinion looks incredibly goofy and low effort... Armors are ok, but everything else - is not. And the idea of potions is scary. Invis potions? Lightning storm potions? I hope those work only on NPCs
It was said that the potions are meant as a way of introducing players to the new sorcery feature, so you can try some of the new spells out without having to have unlocked all the sorcery levels. I doubt these potions will be available in game through any other means, so they are just a "one-off" taster so to speak.

Humm I'm not paying for a battle pass to be banned a few weeks later I like offical pvp and reporting and getting pepole banned is the new meta so it's a waste of money for offical pvp players
the "can only be claimed once" rewards are horseshit. Rerally, why? They will just lay locked up in storage because you're too afraid to loose it, so what's even the point. Could at least make it "claim once" if you don't have the battlepass, but permanent if you do.
Keep in mind that these are all free items that can be claimed without buying the Battle Pass. Also, it's only the potions which are simply supposed to give you a taste for Sorcery if you haven't unlocked it in game - nothing unique, and 3 (I'd say not very exciting) item skins. While I totally agree that one-off claimable items are silly in a game where you risk loosing it all, I don't think these items are a big loss.
@@Pixelcave So let's say I really like one of the free cosmetics items. (I don't care about the potions, they're fine. Basically just a way to encourage you to interact with the new stuff from the update.) I grind for weeks to get the free cosmetic I want, and finally I get it, and two days later I die and I can't retrieve my corpse due to some bug or glitch. Poof, gone forever. Weeks grinding challenges just to loose it like that. And you don't think these "free items" aren't a big loss? There's absolutely no reason to make them a "one claim only" for people who have paid for the Battlepass.
Like I said, I'm not a fan of one-off claimable items either, but since I'm also allowed to express my personal opinion, I don't think any of the 3 skins is very exciting. The Eyepatch you can get in the base game as real item, the Setite Cult Helmet is included in the Riddle of Steel DLC and the Balancing Daggers can be found on the Isle of Siptah. If anything I find these items to a weak reuse of existing items and if you already own the DLCs, quite disappointing as you would have them already. I think they should have offered the Free items separately from the Battle Pass, as most people don't understand that they are in essence not part of the paid package and believe they devalue their paid BP. Again, I'm not saying that I disagree with you in regards to the concept of one-off items or even having to grind for them... but if we talk disappointment here, then I think mine lies within the items themselves.
That's how far we have tested it in the pre-release version, maybe (hopefully) they'll make some of these emotes also usable by followers in the future.
Don't forget this is the first. There is time for improvement with the 2nd same with the spells being let loose on pvp now it's only a matter of time that when the 2nd battle pass drops what the true intentions are as they have listened alot to the community considering the mostly silent updates before this.

@@bullwyrk literally anyone can cast Invisibility, and it ends immediately if you do anything other than movement and climbing. while you can draw/stow/switch weapons while Invisible, you become visible as soon as the swing starts, so at best you get a single Sneak Attack. on top of that Spell Flasks can't be crafted and are extremely limited in the amount you'll have. Thralls/NPCs will also spot you if you get too close while they're facing in your direction too.
@Psycho Crow - You can complete the Battle Pass without purchasing it, but you will only get select freebies as shown in the video (mostly consumable items). You won't get the majority of items, nor any Crom Coins.
@@ChannelVargar uh yes there is, with a dlc I only have to pay once and I automatically get everything and dont have to do anything beyond digging out my credit card, with the battle pass I have to pay for the battle pass , THEN i have to complete things to get the pieces or if I do nothing, I dont get the pieces, how are those things even remotely the same?
The spell potions are free and their purpose is to let people try the new sorcery feature without having to unlock all sorcery levels first. They are one time consumables and won't be available for purchase anywhere. (the free rewards in the Battle Pass can be unlocked and claimed by anyone without purchasing the pass).
They are willing to buy stuff from the bazaar. The battle pass is just an excuse to get crom coins to purchase stuff from the bazaar. The acquired stuff is just a plus.
Well, if you see it as a standalone purchase and don't like all items, it might indeed not be worth it for you. But if you play regularly and unlock the entire pass, then you in theory only pay once and get all future passes "for free" (with the coins unlocked). If you don't want to buy it at all, the Free rewards like the Horse and Hyena skin, or the Saddle, are also pretty nice. What would you want to see in a Battle Pass?
The problem I see, some items are nice, but most are complete crap and don't compare to DLC that released in the past for the same amount. On top of that the bazaar stuff while some is nice, is so over priced that you may end up paying upwards to $50 for what you would have gotten for $10 on DLC. Its a huge money grab.

You can complete challenges also on private servers and single player, they haven't restricted it (only direct admin kills won't count for kill quests, pretty much anything else works).
I was very much on the fence about a Battle Pass coming to Conan. After seeing this I am 100% against it. I'd rather take $10 and buy a full DLC of cosmetic items that I will forever have on every character I ever make than for a pass where some things are bound to 1 save as well as having to buy coins so that I can buy Bazaar items...This is the worst thing Funcom could have done imho...
I am with you on this one. I will likely never get my hands on anything worthwhile from this battlepass, and would much rather just stick to the DLC purchases. I am concerned I will never again get my hands on any new building/decors sets, because I do not have the time to waste grinding away at some inane battle-pass. Don't know what they are even hoping to accomplish here because it makes no sense to me for the type of game Conan Exiles is, just 100% giving me cashgrab vibes.
the battle pass are all account bound, not save or character bound, except a few of the free items that are just not unique skins, but skins of existing items you can place on anything (you can tell which items are these by them having that arcane eye on the eye patch at the start)
If the reward were link to the account instead of a single save i would think about it

Because they're consumable items used with the thaumaturgy bench as illusion skins. The item you use for its appearance gets used up.
So In other words you unlock the skin right and can use the skin unlimited times? Just not the consumables as it’s unlocking the skin?
I'm with you... my luck I die and can't recover my body 10 min after using such a thing and it's gone forever. Give my one character the skill to craft the illusion so I can make them.
Ya it is kinda dumb. Other games who have done this make it account bound. So I don't understand why they don't do the same. In a way tho it would mean they wouldn't have to put out new skins. They would just reuse the current skins. Which again is kind of lazy. What made people get the battle pass in other games was the fact they were constantly putting out new skins. If they don't do that here this will fail hard. People will be all about it at first but if they keep reusing current skins people will treat it like every dlc play for a bit leave and wait for the next update

So it's just like a DLC pack without the building set and crom coins instead.
Pro: You can use the crom coins to pay for the next battle pass (pseudo dlc pack) or use them in the cash shop to add more value. A lot of the skins look pretty good and unique.
Con: It's much more annoying to purchase, because it's locked behind grind. FOMO. The consumables are filler... and just feel kinda insulting? Everyone can see through that these were added to artificialy increase to amount of break points and make it look like there is more stuff in it than there actually is.
I still think that a battle pass doesn't fit the game at all. It's not a competitive lobby/ranked game. If you can only complete the challenges on official servers than funcom will fall flat on their face since most of the playerbase is either on privat PvE servers or are builders who won't touch official with a 10 foot pole. If you can just cheat through the challenges in single player than why not just sell the whole thing as a dlc or in the shop?
You have some interesting arguments/good feedback there. Just to confirm, you can do challenges on any server (official, private, single player). You can use cheats, but e.g. direct admin kills won't count for kill quests. It certainly is a lot faster to complete challenges with admin as you can teleport etc., but it still takes quite a while if you don't have bonus xp multipliers (I believe you get 5 a day, and they accumulate during the time you don't play to max 20).
I haven't played Conan Exiles since early 2021, so I was pleasantly surprised when I happen to see a funny video about players reacting to Zath on the Isle of Siptah, and that led me to Just Horse and your videos, making me realize that I've missed quite a few important updates.
Guess what? I redownloaded the game on Saturday and am playing once again with so much joy that I hadn't felt in a long time! I'm looking forward to the Magic and Sorcery update and what that's to come.

This should be a huge slap in the face for those who have 6k hours and years back n forth with this game. Bought the DLCs only for them to get greedy and reach deeper in our pockets. Breaking up build sets is what really urks me , coupled with the over pricing.

Not sure why people hate it so much when it only adds cosmetic. It doesn't flash it in your face like other games do, you still get some alright stuff in the free version. It's legit working for the dlc you paid for and even then you can just admin panel your way through it if you really wanted to as they don't mind how you do it they only care that you simply play the game as the challenges are trying to get you to do.
I really don’t like battle passes I like the stuff in them but the fact that if I don’t complete what I payed money for I feel like I wasted my money, I’m hoping the store gets some of these items occasionally. Just cause I want those building pieces but would rather pay for just them I don’t need everything else
That's what I hate about the stupid battlepass system so many games are doing now. if you dont play enough you miss out on things and will never be able to get them.
In that case it's probably best to do challenges first to unlock rewards and only pay once you know you've managed to reach the rewards you want and then claim them - at least there is the option to do that. I wouldn't pay first either if I wouldn't be sure I can make it.

@kostas kladianos You can purchase BP levels, so yes, you can buy the levels instead of unlocking them with challenges - but tbh, that would be ridiculously expensive and imo not worth it al all.
@The FireHouse I doubt a mod would be allowed to rip off the exact same skins. And you can't admin spawn anything from the BP, Bazaar or DLCs unless you own the content - since forever. So this suggestion is just silly.
Like some of the arcane items but kinda crappy that half a dozen levels are wasted on torch color variations. Also makes me worry if the wall/floor paints are dyable or will color variations of those be in future pass rewards...
Feedback is always good, if Funcom is listening they might consider some of what's said and tweak Battle Pass content in the future.
I agree about the wall torch color variations. A better idea would be to give out ONE, the WHITE one, as a rewards, but make it dyeable. We could then make it any color we want to by crafting and dropping in a dye. It would give us a better, much more desirable and useful reward, without wasting so many spots on essentially repeating the same item.

Like everything except the illusory items (schematics to just permanently make the items would be way better :/ ) and the gods-forsaken colored torches.... those a cheap cop-out and I hope there's a way to get them out of my build options...
Agreed for the illusory items and good point with the torches and the potential clutter these type of items could create in the build menu. Maybe a drop-down for color variations would be the way to go.
Okay some people probs didn't watch the dev stream then I guess, The battle pass is the new DLC Instead of getting your items instantly you grind for it to get you to play the game and go through the story of the battle pass as it's a language we have no knowledge of. Most of the items you keep forever the ones you don't are the spells you can cast just in a little throwable and then ways to change your armour with armour either from DLC or just in game plus you can legit just grind through the whole thing in admin mode. The devs themselves said do it how you want to complete it as they do understand that not everyone has a lot of free time but enjoy the game. Let alone the Bazaar items are on rotation so it's not like as if things are gone forever if you don't like a item it will just change anyway plus it's not like other games where it's in your face to buy the battle pass. It's so well hidden they don't even mention the battle pass if you just got the game and another thing is you only gotta buy it once then grind through it to then have enough crom coins to get the next one free. So if you don't even have to spend much it's a one time cheap purchase for you to enjoy the game and get some really cool cosmetics as you would with the usual DLC. Not sure why so many are saying that you can't keep all the items in the battle pass if you go into your feats you'll see a new one of ancestor knowledge that's where your battle pass stuff will be for you to keep forever as long as you claimed the item it's yours forever. Plus it's a good things Funcom is doing this as it's not just a simple dlc it's more a story in the way they made it pushing you to go out to complete the challenges to get through the battle pass how you choose to do it.
I loved the floor and wall paints, all of the arcane items, the undead horses, and the skull brazier. The armors looked good, but are too primitive for my general tastes (as a role-player, I'd only use one if I was specifically playing some type of primitive character, such as a Pict or Dafari.) The axe was actually too fancy. It, like some of the DLC axes, did not look realistic enough for my tastes. (Visually speaking, I think my favorite axe in the game is the level 30 something Cimmerian axe. Fancy enough to look cool, while still being realistic in overall style. I'd rather see embellishments on the handle, hilt, and pommel, or runes, blood grooves, and similar types of additions on the blades for swords, daggers, and axes.) The hyena variations were cool, but I actually love the one we got from a previous DLC (I forget if it was the Khitan or Yamatai DLC.) I imagine we will get more pet skins in future passes. My favorite war paint was the one called 'Slashes.' I could see my putting that on a variety of characters, especially since I use a mod that allows the player to change the color of a war paint design.
The axe (i guess?) at lvl 48 looks amazing 😀
Don't like how the Illusory Balancing Dagger at lvl 23 is a one time use consumable. . . I'm assuming it balances on a table and is not for combat? would prefer it be a combat dagger skin. And the Illusory Setite Cult Helmet at lvl 47 would be a nice reusable skin. . . O well.
Do like the Arcane Motif Frames but I wish they were for more building sets like blackIce and Glass also or even make them useable with DLC buildings, and the pet and horse skins/saddles are ok, The Namtarite Axe at lvl 48 looks cool. But all those torches and consumable potions (I'm hoping that in the game we can make more of thos potions and this isn't like the only place we will ever get them from deal) kinda just help to bring the value of it down.
Couldn't care about War/wall/floor paints and the emotes any less, and we used to get so much more for our money with the DLCs before. . . I get this is basically a one time payment for all future passes as long as you get and save all the coins, but it still feels a bit lackluster.
Those wall paints are so dull and worthless, the Necromancy wall paint is just a curved line on the wall, could have been a cool looking skull, but no, here enjoy this curved line. thats how you demonstrate a lack of effort.
We've seen better looking mount skins from mods.
Just to confirm, the Balancing Daggers are a skin as well, like the eyepatch and helmet (all 3 are free items that can be unlocked without purchasing the BP).
One-time consumable cosmetic skins from the BP are spectacularly bad as opposed to being account-learned recipes like DLC items. What if you happen to die and some bug causes you to lose your corpse? What if you need to change servers? Are emotes only usable for a single character too?
I had low expectations and this is already looking worse than I could have imagined.
There are only 3 illusory skins and the potions that are one-time claimable. Everything else is unlocked account-wide as knowledge. These one-off things are also FREE rewards anyone can claim without paying for the Battle Pass.
Wow. Personally, for me only the two Building-Sets are interesting. I hope there will be a way to buy single Elements from the Battlepass, because most of the Stuff I don´t want in a Battlepass (like a single colored Torch ...). Too many Potions and useless Stuff in there I think at the moment. If there will be no change till the Release it feels like a huge Cashgrab.
Well, see it like that. If you play regularly, you will easily unlock the whole pass and get your 1200 coins back, so you can use them for the next pass and so on. Or you use them in the store. While not all items might be to one's liking in the battle pass, for a one-off purchase you "can" get all future passes and whatever goodies or non-goodies are in them. So it's not that bad.

@@deahh9617 All torches are learned as Knowledge (formerly known as Feats) and unlocked account-wide, so you can craft them as often as you want on all your characters. That goes for all the other items as well, except for the few free ones we highlighted as "one-off" claim. Hope that helps!
While it's nice that we can get enough crom coins for the second battle pass. I doubt they are going to put crom coins in every one so we can just get the pass forever since they won't make money that way.I think what they will end up doing is taking out the crom coins in the second battle pass so when the 3rd one comes out we will have to pay another 10 dollars then put the coins back in for the 3rd so we can get the 4th for free and repeat so it will end up being 10 dollars for two battle passes .
Not only is there no guarantee that enough crom coins will be but also the price of the battle pass. Plus this "you can afford the next one if you just keep playing" makes the game into a chore rather than a game. If all the missions line up with what you want to do today that is great, but if I need to do go out of my way to complete them then it is no different than homework. I also don't play that often, but constantly come back to the game. I am one of those that will suffer the most. I enjoyed the game, but now it is time to say goodbye to it.
(accidentally posted this on a different video somehow?) if you play enough to finish the battle pass, you only ever need to buy one and then you can continue to get the rest of them for free from then on, very much worth it if you know you will finish it

How a battle pass can fly in any game nowadays is beyond me. I haven’t seen a single person that’s for battlepasses aside battle Royale games. It’s like every pitch meeting for it takes place on Opposite Day.
People are against them but people buy them. Everyone hates EA for their microtransaction but it makes them billions.

The build tile, decoration set, and animal skins are interesting and feel like half of a regular-priced for a Conan Exiles dlc set with the rest in the item bazaar. The way they are distributed in the battle pass runs into the fear of missing out/FOMO problems battle pass systems prey on. The Bazaar is just as problematic, with the item rotations in and out of the store, and with the other half of the arcane build set inside it, it breaks up a finished build set over multiple purchases instead of single sets.

Many fair points. There are some really nice items across the BP and Bazaar, but all together - if one wants them all, it will most likely get fairly pricey. At least you theoretically need to buy the BP only once and get enough Crom Coins back to purchase the subsequent ones, but of course that requires playing regularly. I doubt many will keep up for long.

If funcom's battle pass system is like that of other similar systems in survival-exploration games the target audience is that of the compulsive purchaser. A marketing mechanic that is not great for the health of the game.

According to Funcom it's highly unlikely that the map will be expanded in that area (there are multiple dungeons below the surface which would cause issues). But yes, added map content in general would be great.
They use that place as loading screens and dungeons as he said you will most likely see a other map before they did that
I really hope that the new monetization system won't be too different from the culture DLCs pricewise. if it's still 10 EUR per set I'm probably fine with it.
The Battle Pass will be around 10 Euros, but the Bazaar is the actual "replacement" for the culture DLC packs, offering multiple smaller item packs and most likely costing more compared. We'll know more once the prices will be officially confirmed.

I think they'll get quite a bit of feedback in regards to the items on offer, especially the skins etc. - at least judging by all the comments here. They said they'd monitor feedback and adjust content on offer if it makes sense - let's see how the Battle Pass will evolve over time.
I cant get my head around the whole claimed by 1 CHARACTER ONCE thing.. do they not realise that conan is a game you restart over and over.. sometimes on different servers? What if the server does a wipe? Do you lose all the 1 time claimed stuff? It makes no sense? So unless you either claim them on your sp which lets be honest noone plays sp apart from using admin, you will unlock rewards that are then wiped along with your server and you can never get them again?? Wtf.. i mean i HATE these cash grab models (looking at you ESO crown store) but even more i hate that i cant, as an adult who has limited time to invest in a whole month just to get a building set i could just buy and use right away before??? Stupid way to go for players but hey its all about money i guess 🙄

You bring up many points and some interesting feedback. Just to clarify, the "once claimable" items are all FREE items anyone can claim, you don't need to buy the Battle Pass for those. While I get the "once" argument for the spell potions that are simply free tasters for the sorcery feature, I agree that being able to claim a skin only once is less than ideal. It should be at least "once per character". Personally I'm less worried about the one-off freebies but more about the requirement to spend time for something you pay for. I think it should be either the one or the other - either the BP is free, so you have to pay with "time" you spend in game unlocking the items (fair enough), or you pay for the BP and get the items right away. But I guess that's not where games are headed nowadays, sadly.

Again i agree, Theres nothing more game-ruining than jumping on for some chill building/decorating/questing, only to find you are on a time limit to play their way to unlock something you *technically* already paid for! Like the challenges that ruined FO76, because you'd feel obligated to do them before you actually got to do what you wanted to do in game that day.
If these paid unlocks are relatively easy to unlock/ only take a small amount of time, say a total of maybe 48hours out of the 3 months thats not too bad, but i dont wanna be forced to grind Every day for 3 months in order to just scrape by and get to the end rewards, that would kill it entirely for me
The consumables are free for everyone. But yes, getting that stuff wiped doesn’t seem like something they thought of or probably just ignored. Despite its many flaws, I’ll get it because it pays for itself. Ten bucks and I can get every battlepass to ever come out.
The abyssal hound skin looks more like a wolf than a hyena.
It had me confused at first as well, as I agree it looks like a wolf skin. But I double-checked and it's really for Hyenas. I personally prefer the Armored Hyena skin, I think it looks pretty cool.

That's a good question. Purely judging by the cost, it feels ok for those playing regularly as you get your money (Crom Coins) back when you unlock the whole pass and can purchase the next one. But if you don't have the time, it feels still like an investment of time in addition to money, which actually bothers us personally more. The building pieces are great indeed, and hopefully they let us use more of the emotes with thralls as well.

That's a good question, haven't tried that yet, but I would say it's likely. Making the BP completely worthless is a bit of an exaggeration I'd say - there are only 3 illusory item skins and all 3 of these awards are FREE, you don't even have to buy the Battle Pass to unlock/claim them. However, I think it would be better if you could at least get it as a one-time use "per" character.
The illusory items are a one off thing but then again you can just use the new benches to do what the illusory items would do. And the other items not counting the throwable spells you keep forever as long as you claim them you keep them and it goes to all servers you play on it will stick to you just make sure you do claim them before it ends otherwise you won't get your items. Plus the Throwable spells you can just legit do yourself given you have the corruption to cast some of them and if they didn't set it to one character bind people would spam then but everything else is account binded just like the twitch drops

I already have the flex emote without buying the battlepass. Are they selling already made findable in game emotes and putting them behind pay walls? "Crosslegged sit" was being sold in the bazaar
The "Flex" emote from the Battle Pass and "Crosslegged Sit" from the Bazaar can't be found in the world, are you sure you're not using any mods that provide you with more emote options? And if you think you could find it in game, where - because we definitely never found those two.
@@Pixelcave No he is right.. I got both the crosslegged and the kneeling sit in my emote wheel.. even better, the kneeling sit is something I can do right after creating my character after I hold R for the wheel. And no, I have not bought ANYTHING ever from funcom except the base game + DLC packs..
So they ARE selling things that are already in the game to us again... Funcom and Conan has gone to shit imho
@@Devonaxx Right, I have read some reports about it on the forum as well in recent days. They definitely granted those by accident though - you can't find them in the world and we only unlocked them when we previewed the BP and Bazaar items before launch. So upon launch they must have accidentally unlocked them for everyone, as they are clearly not intended to be free and meant to be unlocked through Bazaar and BP. The big question now, is if they will remove them from everyone again - as selling them would clearly make zero sense otherwise. The fact that they are in the Bazaar/BP while you still have them for free, is only down to them being very slow. Let's see what happens.
I appreciate them adding this, but there needs to be a lot MORE to do in the game. Otherwise, it's just repetition you are paying someone to be able to do. I get paid to do repetition in the real world. That's a job. I don't pay someone else, so I can work at a job.

The Battle Pass is completely unnecessary in my honest opinion. You expect it in a FPS game but not a survival game. Unless there is a way you can disable this for me personally, I am not going to play a survival game where you will level up passively because that just feels like entitlement. If there is a silver lining somewhere when I do eventually play the game without the battle pass running, I am probably not going to play this game again. Otherwise the horse skins and armor looks pretty cool.
Well, the Battle Pass is completely optional, so just ignore it if you don't like it. While you might "passively" complete some challenges while playing, I doubt you'll unlock many levels that way. Why would that be such an issue? There is no onscreen "quest tracker" that would clutter your interface. Unless you unlock some of the free levels by chance and claim them, you won't get anything.
Being able to do challenges and unlock levels without buying the Battle Pass is at least a way for people to judge by the end of a Chapter if they want to buy it or not - depending how far they got.

Unfortunately no. Once a Chapter has ended, the Battle Pass for the Chapter is gone for good. Fingers crossed that they'll change that in the future.

I have been using Multigun's mod for the undead mount since forever, so those were quite awesome. The armor with the horns around the neck, the corrupted skull brazier, the pet skins. My goodness it is all done so well making it very hard to choose but I can tell you guys one thing, my little dark heart is in absolute ecstasy with all the dark rituals and cosmetics being added. I can barely contain myself!!!🤘😈

Looks cool and all, but there are far too many items in the Pass that can only be claimed by one character. God forbid we have more than one character going at any time...
It's a total of 10 one-time claimable items, the 3 illusory skins and 7 potions. Keep in mind though, that all of these are free items anyone can claim, without paying for the Battle Pass. Then there are another 8 free claimable items, but those are permanently learned "account wide" feats (now called knowledge). The remaining 42 "paid" BP rewards include 10x 120 Crom Coins which can (if you want) pay for your next BP and so on.
I don't want to justify the contents of the BP, I don't like everything about it either, but they could have as well simply advertised it as 32 rewards + coins, and probably nobody would have complained if they would have gotten additional freebies now and then. I agree that the freebies seemingly diminish the value, but if you wouldn't have known about them - or if they would have been marketed differently, the impression might be a different one.
I have yet to figure out how to make a lot of this stuff. What I’ve unlocked, is not where it says to make it. I don’t know if they are broken or something.
Seems quite a lot of people report similar issues on the official forum. There might be issues indeed.

I dunno. The building pieces look good. The armors? The first one is... meh. The others look absolutely awful in my opinion. And Hyena skins? Who the eff uses Hyenas? I don't know, there is nothing in the pass that intrigues me.
Are you sure that the illusionary items are only one use? I'd think they'd just be skins without stats, otherwise that's kind of... What if I like the visuals? Can I only ever have one item that looks like it? What if I loose it?
I agree, the armors and just the entire aesthetic of all the pieces looks very bland and uninspired. Whatever 12 year old who is designing the helmets needs to stop, there’s so many armor sets ruined by the dorkiest looking helmets imaginable.
Double greater hyenas (with war party) actually sounds pretty vicious, lots of cripple stacks.
I always have a greater hyena companion with me, they're my favorite. they cripple stuff great.
@@Kazeteiru I always thought hyenas were under apprecietade by the community, they attack very fast, run fast and hardly ever miss because their attacks are very straight forward, and with the cripple they pretty much latch on whatever they are killing.
The armored hyena does look cool but I really though the abyssal hound and armored hyena were new animals. Why is the abyssal hound a hyena anyway? It’s literally a wolf. I’ll probably have one armored hyena in my base and that’s it. There’s no reason to have a hyena with you when greater wolves exist. Also…Sabretooth and playful pups.

Depends if or how many levels you have unlocked already. The regular Battle Pass costs 1200 Crom Coins, the Premium Pass with 15 levels already unlocked costs 3000 Crom Coins. You can also buy 1, 5 or 15 levels in addition to complete the Battle Pass as needed. Let's say you have zero levels, then you would buy the Premium Pass at 3000 and 3 x 15 levels at 1800 each - makes a total of 8400 Crom Coins. You could buy the biggest and smallest Crom Coin bundle to get 9000 Coins and that would set you back around US $60.

I presume you have purchased the BP and claimed the Brazier of Skulls after unlocking it? Currently there seem to be quite a few issues about BP unlocks that can't be crafted, I'd suggest to report it in the official Conan Exiles forum so the devs can look into it.

Unfortunately, you can't. At least for now, no plans to make older Battle Pass items available have been announced. Once a Chapter is over, the Pass is gone.

The BP in my opinion looks incredibly goofy and low effort...
Armors are ok, but everything else - is not. And the idea of potions is scary. Invis potions? Lightning storm potions? I hope those work only on NPCs
It was said that the potions are meant as a way of introducing players to the new sorcery feature, so you can try some of the new spells out without having to have unlocked all the sorcery levels. I doubt these potions will be available in game through any other means, so they are just a "one-off" taster so to speak.

Humm I'm not paying for a battle pass to be banned a few weeks later I like offical pvp and reporting and getting pepole banned is the new meta so it's a waste of money for offical pvp players

Could at least make it "claim once" if you don't have the battlepass, but permanent if you do.
Keep in mind that these are all free items that can be claimed without buying the Battle Pass. Also, it's only the potions which are simply supposed to give you a taste for Sorcery if you haven't unlocked it in game - nothing unique, and 3 (I'd say not very exciting) item skins. While I totally agree that one-off claimable items are silly in a game where you risk loosing it all, I don't think these items are a big loss.

I grind for weeks to get the free cosmetic I want, and finally I get it, and two days later I die and I can't retrieve my corpse due to some bug or glitch.

There's absolutely no reason to make them a "one claim only" for people who have paid for the Battlepass.
Like I said, I'm not a fan of one-off claimable items either, but since I'm also allowed to express my personal opinion, I don't think any of the 3 skins is very exciting. The Eyepatch you can get in the base game as real item, the Setite Cult Helmet is included in the Riddle of Steel DLC and the Balancing Daggers can be found on the Isle of Siptah. If anything I find these items to a weak reuse of existing items and if you already own the DLCs, quite disappointing as you would have them already.
I think they should have offered the Free items separately from the Battle Pass, as most people don't understand that they are in essence not part of the paid package and believe they devalue their paid BP. Again, I'm not saying that I disagree with you in regards to the concept of one-off items or even having to grind for them... but if we talk disappointment here, then I think mine lies within the items themselves.

Can you attack from invisibility? because if so, those invisibility potions are, imo, p2w!
Considering you can just make yourself invisible with a spell, not so much. Any action other than running instantly breaks invis.

@@bullwyrk literally anyone can cast Invisibility, and it ends immediately if you do anything other than movement and climbing. while you can draw/stow/switch weapons while Invisible, you become visible as soon as the swing starts, so at best you get a single Sneak Attack. on top of that Spell Flasks can't be crafted and are extremely limited in the amount you'll have. Thralls/NPCs will also spot you if you get too close while they're facing in your direction too.

Let's see how easy it will be to unlock all levels and get enough Crom Coins for the next pass... if not too time-consuming it might be the way to go.
@Psycho Crow - You can complete the Battle Pass without purchasing it, but you will only get select freebies as shown in the video (mostly consumable items). You won't get the majority of items, nor any Crom Coins.
There is literally no difference between a battle pass and a dlc.

Wtf? They made the magic spells purchasable potions? And added old free sh!t to the BP as paid content?
The spell potions are free and their purpose is to let people try the new sorcery feature without having to unlock all sorcery levels first. They are one time consumables and won't be available for purchase anywhere. (the free rewards in the Battle Pass can be unlocked and claimed by anyone without purchasing the pass).

They are willing to buy stuff from the bazaar. The battle pass is just an excuse to get crom coins to purchase stuff from the bazaar. The acquired stuff is just a plus.
Well, if you see it as a standalone purchase and don't like all items, it might indeed not be worth it for you. But if you play regularly and unlock the entire pass, then you in theory only pay once and get all future passes "for free" (with the coins unlocked). If you don't want to buy it at all, the Free rewards like the Horse and Hyena skin, or the Saddle, are also pretty nice. What would you want to see in a Battle Pass?
The problem I see, some items are nice, but most are complete crap and don't compare to DLC that released in the past for the same amount. On top of that the bazaar stuff while some is nice, is so over priced that you may end up paying upwards to $50 for what you would have gotten for $10 on DLC. Its a huge money grab.

You can complete challenges also on private servers and single player, they haven't restricted it (only direct admin kills won't count for kill quests, pretty much anything else works).
