Hey Nicole, thanks for the great lessons. Can we get the clearer version of this recording? It's really blurry and I have set my RUclips to the highest Quality. Auto 720p. Thank you.
@@francisogunjimi5587 Sorry for that. I do have the documentation to follow along with here nicoleenesse.notion.site/Installing-Security-Onion-With-AWS-8668c0e459954f9ba3048241c9f36c6c#87b9ff86786b4abf9d368deb0c6dbbe6
Hello, great video. I got stuck at around 17:20: While I was able to associate a public elastic IP address to the network interface, in the network settings it isn't displaying a public IP address. Did I do something wrong?
@@Trade_With_Chill Hard to exactly say. I took a boot camp in 2022 then just did self study here and there from summer 2023 to now. Got the ISC2-certified-in-cybersecurity cert last year then sec+ this year
Wow thank you for all the hard work you did in making this video showing us how to set up a home security lab . I hope to see more things like this in the future you make a very good teacher everything you do is greatly appreciated
Hello Nicole, I hope this message finds you well. I've recently watched several of your videos and, although I did not subscribe before, I found them compelling and have now subscribed to your channel. Your content has inspired me to offer my support in any way possible. With a background in project and program management, certified in both PMI and Agile methodologies, I would be glad to volunteer my expertise if needed. Thank you for your impactful work!
Hey, I wanted to provide an update. I did some troubleshooting and my issue was at 22:04 , I typed in "0.0.0.0" but forgot the "/0" at the end. (Duh, CIDR notation). So it should be 0.0.0.0/0 - I don't know if this applies to you but thought I'd share the fix for me.
@@harrisonknapp146 would also help if we didn't have to squint to see what's on screen. @Nicole if you see this I appreciate you, this lab is super dope, but goddamn!
Could we have instructions on setting up a second network interface? I am unclear on how to do this, and Nicole already had more than one network interface in the video.

I experienced something similar, in my situation I had associated the elastic IP to the network interface 1 so I changed it to 0 and it worked.
Just got Sec+ certified. Definitely gonna give this a go to help land my first soc analyst role
What were some practice tests you did to prepare??
currently studying for my sec + which i will take before the end of the year. how long did it take you to prepare for the exam and pass it.
@@andrewp3358 I grabbed a study guide book off Amazon which had practice questions for each chapter
