- This auto rifle has infinite ammo. Duty bound is the only auto rifle to get triple tap and fourth times the charm. Triple tap gives you 1 ammo back after 3 precision hits and fourth times gives you 2 ammo back after 4 precision hits. Together, whenever you get 4 precision hits, you get 3 ammo back, meaning you can shoot hundreds of rounds per magazine since you get 75% of the shots back for free. So against enemies with big crits, you can just keep firing and keep firing. And with actium war rig, it’s literally infinite ammo. If I did my math right, that’s over 210 rounds per magazine. And with Actium War Rig this auto rifle has infinite ammo.

I think the math might need to be redone. Unless triple tap doesn’t start counting until 4th has activated. But triple returns 1 round for every three, 33% refund. And 4th returns 2 for every 4, a 50%. Which would give us a 83% refund instead of 75%. That’s not taking into account the rounds refunding off of each other but pretty cool perk interaction
But you shoot 4 bullets and get 3 back so in total you still get a 75% refund for every 4 shots
@@dnegotiator9096 that’s how the first four rounds you fire function. You refund 1 on round 3, 2 on 4, 1 on 6, 2 on 8, 1 on 9, 3 on 12.
In maybe an easier way to follow on round 4 you’ve refunded 3. Round 8 you’ve refunded another 3, round 12 you’ve refunded another 4. The error comes from acting as if the triple tap is activating every 4 rounds instead of every 3.

This perk combo is the reason I kept the Adept Duty Bound I got all those years ago. It's not meta and likely will never be, but the perk combo is unique, which makes the gun kinda fun to use sometimes. You can probably get some value out of it by combining it with Song of Flame.

Heir Apparent with Actium is practically infinite. You can hold down the trigger with max reserves and deplete everything before needing to reload.

It's actually a bit better than 3 shots back every 4.
Find the least common factor for 3 and 4, which is 12.
With fourth times, you get 6 shots for every twelve (Since it's 2 for every 4)
With triple tap, you get 4 shots for every twelve (since it's 1 for every 3)
This is 10 back for every 12 shots, which is mathematically more than 3/4, even though it's fairly negligible
Now we need someone to beat the game with this combo only. Yes raids too.
*on PC, where recoil and flinch are basically nonexistent. Try this on console where the recoil bounces the gun sideways 45 degrees every other shot and the second an enemy even looks at you, you flinch and start shooting the ground/ceiling
Recoil shouldn't be different on different systems, that's so dumb. It should be the same on both, period. If anything, it should be switched where pc has more recoil because mouse is more precise and easier to control
Mathematician here- assuming you hit everything as a headshot, every 12 shots fired is 2 shots lost from the mag:

Total fired: 12; total refunded: 10
The first 30 rounds are expended cleanly, so the total is [30/2] * 12 = 180 for them.
The last 11 are tricky but they end up yielding 43 rounds.
So (223-41)/41 ~ 81.6% of rounds fired weren’t originally in the mag. This efficiency isn’t static- it fluctuates with where your mag lands in the 0-11 cycle. It will, however, always be within like +/-5% of that value (too lazy to give the exact range).
The only times actium war rig is necessary is if you were, for some masochistic reason, using this thing as boss dps or the more likely scenario of the average player missing the head 30% of the time lol

Ros Arago Actually gets Rewind Rounds + Deconstruct which basically achieves the same thing + has the bonus effect of dealing more dmg against constructs, but yeah I still have an Adept Duty Bound with that roll and it is hella fun
At -3 ammo you get 1 back, so -2. 4th bullet is back to -3, but get 2 back, putting you at -1. Two bullets later (-3) you get one back, so -2. Then at -4 your back to -2.
So its not truly infinite, it just gives you a very deep magazine that very slowly still runs out....at the cost of having an actual damage perk
war rigs really need a buff, they need to make it more like lucky pants
Actium war rig should give all auto rifles and Lmg’s a version of target lock. Auto rifles can have proper target lock damage, and lmg’s would have a smaller damage benefit but still be good. :D

Another auto that can do something similar is ros arago since it can get rewind rounds and deconstruct. Actium will make it infinite as well since rewind will refill the whole mag with that on.
Gnawing hunger is a beast had it in my vault for like 4 years and pretty good counter to that adept summoner auto rifle

I own one of these. Was disappointed i couldnt get anything better, but happy a unique roll sits in my vault
I kept one for 2 years, thinking I might use it for champion stunning (because of the trait) but never got to, because of the subclass stunning capabilities :D so recently I deleted it (it was still 1600 power)
I have this roll on an adept version. Always kept it around because it’s a fun gun to use
This game is cool other than never being able to find a clan that doesn't just kick you if you're offline for a week

You should do a comparison with the void auto rifle Ros Arago IV. It can get rewind rounds + deconstruct.
I guess Arago with deconstruct is better for vehicles, but how often are you really using a primary against vehicles? :D

@@cregh deconstruct does more damage to vehicles and constructs, but the ammo refund on sustained damage will work on any enemy, not just vehicles and constructs
There's some world drops with deconstruct and rewind that work the same way on beefy targets
Had a Tears of Contrition drop with that combo and it was my fave gun for a time

Riskrunner + arc subclass and Sanguine Alchemy gives you near infinite ammo and health
At least when we're getting overload AR the champion can be stun locked (all shot will be missed regardless)
