Time consuming, but so nice to have some hand made cordage for that finishing touch on a project or a gift.
Brings back memories I use to do this after my dad would finish husking the corn. Dog bane works good too

The corn husks turn brown after you dry them , but in your video they appear green and fresh???
I dried these corn husks while they were still green, and they have retained the green colour becuase I kept them in a box out of the light. They will eventually fade to a more of a pale "straw" colour with time. I also find different corn varieties yield different coloured husks - the pale ones are great if you want to try dying them. And think of the heritage varieties of "candy" corn! I'd love to try some of those.
