I love your videos!!! I've been home with babies for five years and am finally applying for teaching jobs. Your videos have helped me get my brain back into the swing of things! 🥰🥰

Let me clarify I do give the student choices when communicating with him and he chooses one usually accidentally because he can't control his movements. So that's just where we are. I just mean like if I go up to him and say hey how are you? I always feel really silly because I know better. I know he can't answer 😩

You keep doing it... and be proud about it. Those interactions could be the only times during the day that someone speaks to them directly- and they may be answering in their head even if they cannot vocalize a response. Keep it up!

What about talking to kids and adults you know cannot talk back verbally or even with a device ? I always find myself asking them questions and I know they cannot communicate an answer but I want them to feel like I care.

YES! Please keep doing that. If they DO understand and we fail to include them, it is downright cruel... but if we include them and they DON'T understand, what was the harm? Just do it... include them, because they deserve the interaction. Great question!
