Good test I too believe the slow sponge is the way to go for backhand for safety and deception and have a killer forehand when the opportunity presents itself
Surprising ! Apparently the green sponge is the best with the Vortex from Spinlab, but I can clearly see there are better sponge combination with the ABS
I think the reason this looks different and feels harder is because of the red ABS topsheet. You played the colors different before. Here you also do much more chopping with the anti than usual.
hi. and when the sponge changes , the spikes enter it and the surface of the anti becomes uneven ? with long spikes , no problem , but I can 't do it with anti
Hello, I like your style and thank you for this video. I play also with Matador, but I can't find good fh rubber for this blade. Please, which rubber use you?
Hi Petr! The choiche depends on your personal preferences. I play better with medium hard rubber so I chose a donic Bluestorm Z2. The Matador blade not being too stiff you can opt for a harder rubber. 😉
How do you like the blade? I’m currently using the joola aruna off blade with dtecs ox but thinking of changing to dr nuebaur blade but not sure witch one yet with the new abs anti
Hi Amir! I liked the blade, it has a good control and speed, but I prefer a more powerful blade like the one i use (Stiga Carbonado 190). For antispin rubber i would recommend a stiffer version of the classic matador. ;)
Matador is the best blade by Dr. Neubauer! You should rather more use Matador Texa since you are used to Carbonado Most effective Pro plays are using rather more slower controlled blade with faster Anti.
@@markusmaier2325 Matador is the only blade from Neubauer i tested. I can not compare with others. As an amateur player i think that, at a level as low as mine, a slower anti is more useful. (if the forehand skills are good) Pro are pro...they do a different sport! :D
Hallo Andrea! After weeks of looking at your videos and writing also to Joachim and NJ I made a choice for my first real Anti racket. It's Matador + Bluestorm 2.1 Z2 VH + ABS pro BH. Just one more question. I want to block solid with spin reversal and I also want to hit with my Anti as well. I have a Störkraft 2.3 pink sponge (with the wrong blade) at home. I can hit with it, so I got the technic. Finally my question😁: What sponge thickness do you recommend for the ABS Pro or should I buy a 'just in case' sponge, too.
Hi Andreas!! That's seems a very good and balanced setup! I will try too Matador and ABS PRO in the near future. ABS PRO is only available with the 2.0mm sponge. 😉
@@AndreaAschi I tried it by now. Unfortunatly the ABS Pro was damaged. So I had to send it back. But I could at least try it for one training. It is way to slow to hit with it. And the spinreversal is very weak. It can be good if you use it only to change the rhythmn of the game or if you tweedle a lot. Next stop Störkraft 1.2 on Matador Texa Carbon. We'll see
Didn't work eather. Störkraft is so slow even with a thin sponge. If you have an opponent that plays defense, you hardly get the Ball over the net. Last stop maybe ABS Evo. If this one doesn't work I will go back to LP.
Hi Andrea, if i buy hard stiff blade, what sponge to get for Storkraft 1.2 the middle of 0.8 and 1.6, and to get Storkraft or maybe Scandal, what do you suggest :)
Hi Viktor! To begin with, I always recommend the maximum thickness. But the choice also depends on the type of opponents you usually find. The higher the level of the opponents, the more a thick sponge allows you to play safely.
Ciao! Grazie mille.
Did you ever get to try this blade with your usual slower sponge? or any slower sponge. I am considering to get this blade, but atm if i go anti I will probably stick with what I have, Stiga Clipper also 7ply stiff but faster
I have a DR Neubaurer Matador. It is OK. It isn't that good for looping and blocks well. I have had Buffalo and Megablock and Yasaka Power Anti mounted on it. I wasn't impressed. I am not impressed by anything else but games.

1.5, mm, 1.8 mm, 2.1mm,or 2.3 mm that used on your abs evo?
It was not the original sponge.
I was trying the 2 mm green sponge by SpinlabItalia.
It seems to trade reversal for speed and disruption. That's not necessarily a bad thing. I think it's good if you can control it
it's exactly like that!
Excellent combination for aggressive shots but with the downside of less control in the passive game.
@@AndreaAschi the green sponge has most control of all sponges by Spinlab! The sponge is too thick, you should try 1,5.
@@markusmaier2325 Hi Markus! If we are talking about control i disagree. ;)
The green is the spinlab' sponge with less dampening effect i've tried.
@@AndreaAschi dampening is not control 😂 green is still too slow
Yes but green sponge is hard. With a soft sponge I play safer=more control.
If you are trying to block a fast topspin the sponge helps you little.

bro..... blade: matador neubauer have a side fast and other side slow? or both side are slow?
Dr. Neubauer Matador does not have one side faster than the other. They are the same. (medium-fast)
Is this combination blade?
I mean difference speed betwen fore hand side, and back hand side....thank you
No, the Matador is not!
The Matador Texa Carbon is a combination blade.

You're right. It is ok. It's a very good blade for beginner antispin players because it has non-extreme characteristics.
