@SonicGroovePodcast Adam I was there back in the day… Storm , the shop ,,,,,( west coast ) : Rave called sharon / The Gatherings / Seattle's The deep , Spice…..
Mike Parker is a Beast on the Decks, saw him play a vinyl set warehouse in L.A. on the same bill with Ben Sims! What a night! Needless to say, he blew the Roof off the place. I'm digging his release on SG as I do all of the new SG stuff I've heard. Awesome interview!
@SonicGroovePodcast Oh I've bought a bunch of them. Including Damon Wild LP and Reade's EP. Can't wait for an interview with Reade and hear some of the old NY Sonic Groove stories. It's actually kind of a travesty that I never heard you play even though I was on the same bill for your and Frankie's reunion way back in the 2000s. But I always supported what you guys were releasing. Always top stuff!!! RESPECT BROTHER
On the eclectic mixing point, i agree so much. Even djs i like and respect are playing fully linear sets and sticking to "their sound". In my opinion, being a dj is almost like being a librarian, knowing a lot about disparate styles and genres and mixing them as cohesively as you can at the right time for the dancefloor. Ive always found this more interesting and danceable even if it doesnt fully work. When I first started djing all of the touring djs spoke of reading the crowd, why has this fallen away?
Cool interview. Interview Dietrch Adam. If he will actually show up haha. Agreed on 2009-2015 techno resurgence. Since then, I havent bought much techno. But I'm into so many other styles too.
Yes, the mysterious aspect is missing. Instead the scene is in your face begging for instagram attention, big turn-off, but if you go back to the music, the good stuff is always there and you remember why you love it
Bless - very grateful to be able to learn more about Mike Parker and his artist journey. Much respect and thanks for doing this!
great podcast, one of my favorite artist!
Legend!
Sick mix/ edit of resonator one…In the cart ( vinyl ) !!!

Again masterclass ...the new samurai stuff he's doing is bonkers. And yes, music shoud be everything
Thanks for mentioning that release on samurai. It’s like minimal acid dnb. Pretty wild
Yes love this stuff too!
Thanks Adam, not sure I ever heard of him but checked him out and Discogs, dope stuff. Nice to put music with a city and time frame.
definitely check his music out, he has an amazing discography of music to listen too.
Great stuff Adam, awesome selection of artists so far and interesting conversations. Love Mike's work
Excited for this one
I was wondering the other night, when is the next podcast! Woke up this morning and its here! Great interview.

Agreed. I become quickly bored of anyone playing the same style of music across an entire set. I myself get bored when I play if I don't change it up.
Cool interview.

Exactly this!
🧟 pumping the Cyclic Intonation EP Daily!!
I've listened this one so many times. it really is one of the best acid records!
Where was that Syracuse party at? My son goes to school up there now, but if there is some techno scene up there, point the way.
Found the party crew. Aurora Dolby. Got some mutal friends.
Defective records cost good money on Discogs today.
Yes , I know, Ive been seeking an original copy of Resonator. Its and an arm and a leg!
