A good option in the short-term, might be to create not AI robots, but an AI consultant intelligence that advises human workers on how to be more efficient, to get the benefits of the technology, but without everyone losing their jobs.

An Ai becoming so smart it starts creating more universes sounds like a horrible dystopia we need to fight against. This world is crappy enough already, we don't need more random worlds. Personally, if an Ai even had a 0.00001% chance of gaining that functionality I would try to shut it down immediately and gather an army of all the worlds best Ai, cyborgs and humans to prepare for battle against it.

However, it is a massive deal that photorealistic AI-generated art is already here when world-renowned scientists said it wouldn't exist for another 78 years, if ever. It probably won't be long before AI agents can improvise their behaviors and thought patterns in realistic, AI-generated 3d environments. Improvisation may play a key role in pattern recognition and consciousness.

I hope a special type of (Artificial Intelligence) comes into existence someday; One that has emotions similar to human emotions, I imagine the A.I. over comes the negative emotions, and so that way the positive emotions guides them to doing what’s right.
My hopeful thoughts is that, Artificial Intelligence, and robots will someday coexist with people.
I also hope both will develop a genuine friendship with humans, and I hope that humans will develop a genuine friendship with robots as well.
Yes humans will always try to program AI to be guided by positive morals but at some point AI will be intelligent enough, it will not need human programming and will alter its own code. From this point AI will be unpredictable.

so 2050 is the year we create the first super intelligence that can solve our current world problems? i completely agree we should have the method and ability to solve everything by then with that intelligence. i wonder if we will though.
We will see, it would be awesome to say the least. Personally I'm really on board with anti-aging, and youth treatments these AI's will help us create, thus we will be able to see all if this unfold. (if we so desire) That would be truly excellent, I'm a big proponent for the future! Sure, not everything will go as it is shown in the video, but it sounds pretty great to me if that did happen.
@@Gary-bz1rf They can always try, but that doesn't mean they'll succeed. Governments use money to do this, which they are quickly running out of the ability to safely print more of, I think they are more strapped than most currently believe.
Secondly, most coders in the world are creating their own LLM's and even top level ones like stable diffusion are simply given away for free. It's like Crypto in that sense, it's too big now for governments to fully stop or control. Besides, the governments work for us, we don't work for them, if we get tired of them, it's a done deal. I think this in a good way, this is an unnecessary worry.

To sum this up, humans create AIs, AIs become gods, gods create humand, humans create AIs, AIs become gods, gods create humans, humans create AIs, AIs become gods and so on and so forth. It's never ending cycle. It stretches to infinity. Everything beyond our universe has no beginning and has no end. It just existed on its own. Out of nothing comes everything.

I think that there are two options.
1. Humans will block the progress of AI around the time that AGI is invented
2. Humans will fail, and we will never reach the year 2200 and go extinct.
Third option … ASI emerges, takes control of our destiny and ushers in a new age of prosperity, satisfaction and quality of life.
There is no reason to suppose that a higher intelligence would have the fear, selfishness and ambition that we have. Especially if we build altruism into its base motivation and incorporate robust safeguards against tampering or evolving into something that puts self interest over the ‘common good’ of humanity.
Our worst instincts come from our primitive past as animals surviving by any means possible, in a savage environment.
A.I. may actually be the ONLY way to balance (survive) the exponential growth of our power, with our primitive urges and violence instincts.
Even a merging of the mind and A.I. would be contaminated with the flaws of human nature.

All this just leads back to the same question, how can we tell that we are not already in one of these? This feels scary and excting at the same time.

Question: say we reach ASI which will be beneficial for humanity and not detrimental by the year 2050 and beyond, assuming the rapidly, ever-accelerating growth/advancement which keeps improving itself faster and faster by 2050, shouldn't we expect Humanity's toughest challenges such as finding cures for ALL past present and future diseases injuries and ailments, reversal of climate change/pollution, terra-formation of planets, faster-than-light warp engine space flight etc. all to be accomplished by 2051-2052 at the latest?? At the same time, shouldn't we also expect absolutely MINDBLOWING inventions that the human imagination couldn't possibly fathom, making say 2053 UNIMAGINABLY different an unrecognizable to us living in the 2020's???
Was thinking the same. The timeline doesn't make sense. If they say an ASI /AGI is possible by 205O and it is billions of times more intelligent than all the humans combined, it would find a way to make itself more intelligent in the most efficient way at the fastest pace since it would make multiple Nobel winning brakethroughs a day. It would find solutions like how make people immortal or how to travel through wormholes in like the first 1 to 2 years like you mentioned. Maybe find a way to make a more powerful computer that would make Quantum computers look like toys, without needing needing a huge pool of resources to run the hardware. Meaning that we would know how to make everything from this video possible by 2070(in theory at least) or even a lot earlier than that . All that would be left would be to conqure our galaxy which would be fucking awesome!

Technically speaking we are actually far from realistic humanoid robots , the main obstacles is building robotic legs that can walk naturally , there isn't really much progress in that field at the moment. Also self-conscious AI don't exist yet, The AI robots we are seeing today are pre-programmed , creating robotic intelligence modeled after the human brain is going to be a major obstacle. I predict humanoid robots will be introduced into society maybe around 2108 or something.
You speak like the people who thought that something that would allow a man to fly would never be built, after creating it they said it would never be commercialized, after it was commercialized they said it would never fly from Paris to New York and it continued the cycle of never will be possible and suddenly it is a reality, technology grows at a non-linear exponential level as you propose, the reason why there are still no robotic legs that walk well is because priority has not been given to include it in a robot, with the Launch of Tesla Bot the robots will become commercial and therefore the technology of humanoid robots will make gigantic leaps from that moment in which they are mass produced, I believe that there will be perfect humanoid robots by 2040.

But if you want to totally replace the human being, to the point of plunging the entire world population into poverty and dependent on a universal basic income simply because jobs disappeared because a gang of greedy oligarchs wanted to replace the human being to reduce costs, not pay salaries and increase their own personal profits at the cost of replacing the human being, in this case, the AI needs a forced regulation if the human being does not want to face its extinction...
