    My unconditional offer has been confirmed , l have accepted it and hope to come on 20 September 2021. However l have issues with funds, any information you can help me with on international scholarships? I am from Zimbabwe.

      Hey, I’m not too familiar with the financial aid options however I know the university provides quiet a few to choose from so if you search the university’s website they should have scholarships and bursaries for specifically international students and maybe more course specific ones too. Also if you search the internet in general using any key words that apply to you such as international student, BAME or BME and once again if you’re doing a STEM subject you’d use course specific words, you’ll come across websites that have a list of scholarships you can apply to

    Heyy which accommodation would you say is the most diverse and has the most black people. Do you think university of Nottingham is diverse btw?

    • @MichaelaNetwork
      @MichaelaNetwork  4 года назад +3

      Faith O The accommodation with the most black people is St.peters court DEFINITELY! Followed by Raleigh Park and Riverside Point. My experience with diversity in UoN would have to be yes I found it very diverse but that could be due to my own personal experience for example my course is majority white people, next largest ethnic group would be Asians and the smallest group was black people (total=8/140) but because at the end of the day I was going back to a predominantly black accommodation and using the libraries on jubilee campus which had a lot of Chinese students, I saw the diversity a lot where as one of my black friends on my course who lived rather far away in Broadgate park did mention feeling cultural loneliness but he still made friends. Diversity is definitely present in the university however it’s just a thing of knowing where to look.

    Hey girl, I’m hoping to study the same course at notts this September (did the same a levels too lol) n was wondering if u have any advice? Eg how I can prep for the course rn n tips on time management x bc I’m kinda worried I won’t be able to handle the labs bc at a levels I was lowkey shit ty!!💕💕💕

      Firstly, LOVE to hear we got more girls joining the aerospace wave 👏🏽👏🏽 in terms of prep, I didn’t know anyone at uni before hand and the website doesn’t give you any prep guidance so I also walked into this place blindly. All I can say is it wouldn’t hurt to go over A level stuff as electricity and mechanics come up in their own individual modules at the beginning of the year and then they build on it so have a solid foundation there. I didn’t do further maths and I’m guessing you didn’t either? There is a whole maths class and it’s basically dedicated to teaching parts of further maths so if you have time look into that before you come. And I could give you lots of little areas to check out but ultimately if you stay on top of your work and don’t give into the “first year doesn’t count” stigma you’ll find yourself in a good position through the year and might even find it a bit easy. Labs are quiet easy too and you’re never alone, you’ll be in a group so don’t sweat, 4 brains are better than one always. But seriously just relax a lil bit during summer because it’s easier than you’re imagining but still a lot of hard work when done properly so make sure you rest up🤝

    Hey what accommodation do you think has the most Asian people ?? I’m looking to go to a diverse university and can’t choose between Manchester and Nottingham xx

    Will probably put down Nottingham as 1 of 5 for aerospace. Can't seem to find any pictures/reviews on the course though, what with it being new and all. What do you think of it so far? Coursewise, anything lacking and/or worth commenting on?
    And YES, fuck statistics. That ain't maths, its a nightmare!

      Trent Chan I’m not gonna lie this channel will have a lot of info being spilled about uni life and specifically my course so if you’re not coming to uni in September, subscribe, I’m about to bring it all in the next year👌🏽 and statistics needs to become optional because 😩😩

      chiquitita martha Nottingham has been the best in the country for two years running for that course and I love the university but I’m biased, however my friend who is on the course is loving it

      MichaelaNetwork the main thing that put me off slightly on Nottingham was the fact that they do lab sessions in weekly blocks .. Is it better to do labs mixed with lectures at the same time or in separate weekly blocks? Please tell me the pros and cons for each as I don’t know anyone better to ask

    • @MichaelaNetwork
      @MichaelaNetwork  4 года назад +1

      In my course I have lab sessions in the weekly timetable and had a workshop week as it’s own block. I have to say I preferred having the workshops in that two week block way better than the lay out of the labs because once those two weeks were done I could submit my work and forget about it, also I didn’t have lectures so I could focus on preparing for each session where as having labs mixed in caused slight stress for me as it was easy to forget with the chaos of lectures and wanting to revise (I didn’t miss any though). Also carrying your PPE back and forth on random days which were usually followed by hours of lectures made my bag uncomfortably packed. I might make a video on this specifically as I could go into more detail and I definitely have the time during this period of quarantine, keep checking the page as the proper answer will be coming soon x

    • @MichaelaNetwork
      @MichaelaNetwork  5 лет назад +1

      MT100 yeah but when it comes to extra curricular it’s all about how you are with your time management and keeping your priorities in line, but definitely doable

      MichaelaNetwork you have any advice for revising maths and physics?

    • @MichaelaNetwork
      @MichaelaNetwork  5 лет назад

      MT100 so far just one entrepreneur society but they haven’t had many events thus far, when I restart for the second half of the year tho I’m joining the volley ball team, I’ve been taking it easy but boys on my course juggle sport and study quiet well so join them all, they’re active in the beginning and tend to die down in time for tests 😂
