hey! cade here’s a tip you probably don’t know did you know when you hit a aphid or a weevil with a coaltana it cooks it for you it also does the same as the salt morning star but it makes it jerky

Let’s name the Aphid Blitz. In honor of our dear friend and because of how well he speeds things up! As well as escaping the bees 😂
A tip is that using spicy weapons (I don’t know about adding spicy globs have the same effect) like the spicy staff and the coaltana cook aphids and other prey items instantly with no need for a camp fire
Cade, how about you build a small balcony-like base at the sky limit? The view is worth all the hours of work! Could be a cool thing to do after you finished the game
There is a hot dog trinket that is quite rare that gives infinite food that you could try and grind for, it’s super helpful.
how do you get it?
You can get it by breaking the hot dogs around be the map and it has a low chance of dropping.
It’s pretty stinkin rare but yea it’s quite simple

The problem with this farm design is that it's always built near the tree. If you're already near the tree, you can easily farm gnats at the light.
Pro tip: If u put a spicy upgrade on any weapon, and kill any insect that gives meat, it’ll instantly cook it

You know, lately I just put the bowl in the middle of a few spike strips. Takes a minute to set up and every day you drop a little bowl in the middle to get your aphids for dinner. :D

putting half-walls on the inside of the roof pieces can help keep the aphids more corralled in the middle!

you really should kill the aphids with a spicy weapon so it cooks it instantly.
What I did was made a round platform with ramps along edges right underneath the two lamps closest to the oak tree.. you can either use the fire staff (later in the game) for instant roasts or just use a salty/spicy weapon and pick them off one by one. They will all fall onto the platform and roll towards the center if they hit the ramps. Can get about 60 of gnat meat per run 👌

plant 2 giant shrooms instead of the slurry, itll attract more weavils and you can also farm the shrooms and make fungspacho which is realtively cheap since it doesnt use bug parts

Or you can infuse one weapon with either Spicy or Salty to get food easier. Spicy for easy cooked meat and Salt for jerky, which is more profitable for relying on food.
