It is not actually being selfish; it is being wise with your decisions. It is not necessarily bad to listen to others when it comes to making decisions, especially parents as they may offer wise advice. But we should not make decisions based only off others' opinions as people also may not always make the best judgements off of your situations since no one can always offer perfect advice. This is where listening to God becomes important. :)

They put it off and a year later he had a stroke and couldnt, 😮😢 we wanted to travel, finances keep us from it and now were not physically able, 😮😢
