You make some great fake rocks and I am definitely working some of the stuff into my builds. Watching how the mortar and cement backgrounds hold up vs the way a silicone and substrate I have switched a few designs to a rock design over the substrate covered backgrounds.
Does acrylic painting stay on the backdrop? I want to make something like this for my ball python when I turn his cage to a bioactive and I want to make sure the acrylic paint does wash off with misting and watering or overall water just running down the background
Looks really good! How do you think the tile pointing would hold up to an Australian Water Dragon? I was planning to use tile grout (similar/same product here in Canada) and was wondering what you thought? Thanks
hi mate, I got some angle headed dragons over a week ago and they are not eating by themselves. do you have any tips on getting them to eat by themselves?
Hey cooper are you going to get or thinking of getting narrow banded sand swimmers?? I am thinking of getting them but not sure there also isn’t to much info on how to keep them I know that you can get them but I am just not sure soo yeah thankyou 😬😬🤔😉
Any other suggestions for an experienced keeper I just can’t have any large monitors (sadly) but yea( mate if you have anymore suggestions for a lizard tell me thankyou! 😀
Absolutely love your work man. Just wondering what brand of acrylic paint do you usually use? I definitely plan on doing something like that for my beardies
Hi cooper 😞 Is there any lizards you would recommend me getting for a slightly experienced keeper I would like to get a sand swimmer but there a bit hard and expensive
With a bit of experience go for whatever you really like and can care for! e.g. you may really love a perentie but not have adequate space to house it - bad choice. Do lots of research and take your time to ensure a species is right for you. setup enclosure and everything it will need before you even get the animal

Yeah I’ve found silicone methods just fall apart over time
Awesome Coop looks really good cheers mate
👍🏻!! No sealer after paint?
Nice vid coops keep up the hard work
Always enjoy your vids...do you think someday Oz will open up and legalize the export of some your more commonly captive bred reptiles?
Thanks! And probably not!
Looks awesome im going to attempt to do the same as yours.
Go for it!

Do u have any tips on keeping byones geckos?
No sorry never kept them!
Nice vid!!
These are some great looking rocks! I'm thinking of doing this for my leos, but how easy are these to clean? And what would you use?
I just use a brush and some f10
Much better than those exo terra backgrounds which the crickets and escaped mealworms eat through anyway lol
Absolutely!
Is that just a solider iron your using
Doesn’t the background need to be sealed?
Where did you buy the foam from?
Great video mate as are all your background ones. Quick question: Do you waterproof this one at all? Thinking of doing something similar for frogs
No didn’t waterproof this stuff holds up well lots of people use for frogs
Cheers for the quick reply. Thanks to you I don't have to do the click and collect Bunnings dance 😁
Is blowtorching the foam necessary in the background making process?
Not really just helps get rid of some of the mess!
Would it be safe for the reptile if you just painted the foam after shaping it and letting the paint fully dry?
Depends on the reptile and how much contact it may have with it. I personally dont like risking small bits of foam flaking off

I think it would work however I would add a few more layers so it is even stronger against those big claws
@@coopsreptiles2588 Thank you for the quick response and guidance!

Nah mate I rarely see any around and they aren’t something I want at this time. From what I’ve seen they can be very easy to keep.
Ok

Where did you buy the foam cutter
Killer! Well done
Thanks man!

You can see it on the table just after I finish the black wash. It’s just non toxic stuff from Bunnings
@@coopsreptiles2588 sweet as, definitely going to get some and try this technique
What kind liquid u add into the tile pointing ?
Another great video! What's your favourite part of the process? Also does the acrylic paint wash off easily if you have to wipe it etc. ? :)
I enjoy carving and painting most! No it stays on well once dried properly!

Ok can’t afford or house a per entie to haha I am in the Melbourne suburbs
Quick question, how do you tell if your blue tongue is pregnant?
Can be difficult. Usually weight gain and heavy breathing in later stages
@@coopsreptiles2588 my male kept on following her for around 3 days, that was about 1 month ago, she has since gained a lot of weight since then.
could be a good sign!
U should try to breed a blotchy with a eastern this season
NO WAY! Hybrids are not something I support personally
I'm trying this as a rock hide for my corn snake, sorry that corns are illegal in australia. :(
What type of lizard is that?
Boyd's Forest Dragon!
So amaizing bro,,😍👌
Please chek my chanel,I making simple background 3D for mini terrarium 😁👌
