    You make some great fake rocks and I am definitely working some of the stuff into my builds. Watching how the mortar and cement backgrounds hold up vs the way a silicone and substrate I have switched a few designs to a rock design over the substrate covered backgrounds.

    Does acrylic painting stay on the backdrop? I want to make something like this for my ball python when I turn his cage to a bioactive and I want to make sure the acrylic paint does wash off with misting and watering or overall water just running down the background

    Is blowtorching the foam necessary in the background making process?

  • @crossvg

    Would it be safe for the reptile if you just painted the foam after shaping it and letting the paint fully dry?

    • @coopsreptiles2588
      @coopsreptiles2588  Год назад +1

      Depends on the reptile and how much contact it may have with it. I personally dont like risking small bits of foam flaking off

    Looks really good! How do you think the tile pointing would hold up to an Australian Water Dragon? I was planning to use tile grout (similar/same product here in Canada) and was wondering what you thought? Thanks

    • @coopsreptiles2588
      @coopsreptiles2588  3 года назад +1

      I think it would work however I would add a few more layers so it is even stronger against those big claws

    I would like to get a sand swimmer but there a bit hard and expensive

    • @coopsreptiles2588
      @coopsreptiles2588  3 года назад

      With a bit of experience go for whatever you really like and can care for! e.g. you may really love a perentie but not have adequate space to house it - bad choice. Do lots of research and take your time to ensure a species is right for you. setup enclosure and everything it will need before you even get the animal
