Model 3 SR+ Tesla Heat pump - Loud Noise and Ongoing issues after replacement

- My Tesla has had 12 service calls over the last 14 months. The Oakville Service center has been fantastic however the car has been less so.
I got my car back at the beginning of February after the Compressor, Supermanifold and A/C lines were replaced... and it is already is acting up again. While it hasn't outright failed again (I had no heat on a -22c day in January before it was replaced) it takes multiple tries to "start" and makes a noise so loud it sets off the cars sentry mode alarm.
This morning it was -9c, I hit defrost and started recording. 4 attempts. 3 was pretty quiet, and the 4th time was the charm. - Развлечения
Thanks for the video. Did you ever get this repaired, and what was the problem? My Model Y has a similar noise. They installed a new heat pump but that didn't fix the problem.
Tesla had it for another 7 days right after this video. It didn't get cold enough for them to properly replicate the issue, but they noticed that the A/C system was overcharged with refrigerant.
However, this morning (The DAY after I got it back...) it was -4c and the car just did nearly the same thing. didn't stop/restart the compressor, but buzzed quite loudly.
Video coming about it! Like and subscribe :-)
@@SudzReviews Do you run your climate in auto or manual mode? The research I've done sounds like it could be the compressor running on high when the heat is initially turned on.
@@et3322 auto mode, or whatever preconditioning does when scheduled. Max defrost as well when car is frosted over in the snowy mornings. But while driving it’s always in auto
I’m getting this exact sound. Had it in service three times and they are telling me it’s ice build up on the louvers. Cleared the ice and it’s doing it again when the car gets cold on the first heat up attempt
@@dusan5515 Tesla ended up replacing my entire super manifold and the lines, etc. That fixed it! Before that they tried replacing just the heat pump a few times which didn't work.
Hi, I had my heat pump replaced and getting the same sound intermittently tho, my cars been to the service centre twice and they say there not sure, did you manage to ever get anymore information from the service centre about what was causing the noise?
After the second replacement they said it was caused from an over pressurization of the HVAC system. But after they bleeder off some coolant and called it fixed, it still did it. At that point they also broke the windshield doing the heat test and ended up having to replace it 3 times. First time it leaked, second time it was bad glass/warped, third time was fine. Combined with a myriad of other issues and the fact that the car was still setting off its own sentry mode because the hvac shook the whole car preconditioning, resulted in me getting them to buy back the car for about the price I paid for it. I saw on my service screen the day I traded it in that they were going to replace the compressor/supermanifold again.
Is the buzz sound gone nowdays? My Model 3 Performance 2022 does same.
They bought back the car. I was on my 3rd heat pump, they broke my windshield, replaced it 4 times, the trunk wouldn't open, The frunk unlatched on the highway for no reason they could determine... I lost faith in their ability to make the car reliable. They got me into a 2022 LFP Model 3 and its been pretty close to flawless since, But when the heat turns on, it is a bit buzzy, but a more muted, sustained one. Not a loud "BRAP!" buzz.
@@SudzReviews Okey sound painful, sorry for you.. My car is going to get new AC compressor + ac lines and supermanifold. I just hope it get fixed with it, but sounds bad when i compare it to yours experience…
Did you get this resolved ? What was the cause ?
After two compressors, a supermanifold, multiple weeks in the shop, the doing a heat test they broke my windshield, replaced it and then I had water pouring out a tweeter, then bad/warped glass - 4th windshield was the charm. The noise still persisted. They ended up buying back the car for about what I paid for it, and got me into a 2022 which has been rock solid aside from a screen replacement.
Right before I returned it I saw it had a service call for a 3rd manifold/compressor/hvac system. Hoping it was fixed for next owner
In last winter,After heat pump replacement my car heat pump noise is like hiccup.
They will seek forgiveness but they will not recieve it,
anybody that forgives them will be put to death.
Ummm what?
junk i cant wait to make money off battery cars 😂
