  • We visit Kos Town on the Greek Island of Kos, Greece for a look around the main town on Kos Island. There's some amazing things to see here!
Kos Town is a stunning beautiful place to visit or come for a holiday.
This harbor town is dominated by Neratzia Castle. South of the castle are the Ancient Agora ruins, with a temple, shrine and columns. The 3rd-century Casa Romana villa has amazing lavish mosaics. Also here in Kos Town is the Plane Tree of Hippocrates, an historical landmark.
Kos in Greece is the second most popular island of Dodecanese, after Rhodes. Known for its historical sites, beautiful beaches, and lush vegetation
Kos Town is beautiful, one of the nicest on Greek islands, do not worry. Old town, archeological sides, fishing harbour, new port, palm-laned promenade... It has it all. Nice town beach, too.
Kos Town is a great destination for those looking for a cheap holiday. Accommodation options vary from little guesthouses to apartments and it's home to a wide variety of restaurants - think inexpensive souvlaki joints and traditional tavernas, as well as bars selling local beer.
Kos is renowned for its incredible beaches whether you're after picture-perfect sandy shores or fancy a walk along a rugged coast. Popular spots include Kardamena, Agios Stefanos, Kefalos and Lambi where you'll find restaurants, hotels and bars, but there are also some quiet spots on offer.
It may not have the spectacular caldera views of Santorini, the many iconic windmills of Mykonos, nor the jumble of white and blue houses that are native to so many Greek islands, but Kos still proved to be a fantastic island on which to enjoy a week of R&R.
Kos is one of the most popular islands of the Dodecanese. It has golden sand beaches, crystal clear waters, archaeological sites, and activities for the whole family. If you are looking for nightlife you can head to Kardamena and if you are looking for a family vacation, Tigaki is a good choice.
Asklepion is probably the most important archeological site on Kos island.
Eleftherias Square is another must visit part of Kos Town
Whatever you decided to do you'll have a great time on the Greek Island of Kos.

Went to Kos in 2005 with my wife had an amazing time, even hiring a 4 wheel off road vehicle.
Also I went to Bodrum an back on the Flying Dolphins, now sadly discontinued.
Bodrum was an amazing area of retail and social activity, especially in the port!

I remember my visit 50 years ago to this island who opened its arms to a schools educational cruise ship from the U.K. The residents were so welcoming, many opened their homes to us. The only transport was local buses and they ferried us around the island showing us the historical sites. Seems to have kept its charm in parts.
