The rotation in playing Axe on Thief can be frustrating due to the need for resource management and the randomness involved. This leaves very few moments to pay attention to what's happening in the game. You have to choose between focusing on the game mechanics or keeping track of your rotation and necessary resources. Success depends on luck, specifically hoping for favorable critical hits. Its not hard its just super anoying. and the fact some really awesome gamers out there can make awesome things with it doesn't truly support enough the fact it's very clunky and unnecessarily convoluted.
How does he have the dagger in his offhand when its set in his second weapon set? what i see in their inventory is an axe in main hand for main set and a dagger in offhand for second set...im confused
When you have a blank weapon slot the game will fill in your weapon from the other set. The reason for the split here is to have the same weapon skill sets and always have the same weapons but to utilize weapon swapping to proc sigil of doom for some extra poison. As mentioned, if you are bad with swapping weapons or need to take something else in the alt weapon set (pistol offhand for cc perhaps) then run earth sigil instead.
The old rotation doing 54K couldn't do this rotation because of how Malice worked with the recalled stealth axe. Since then we got a 2nd charge on Mercy, and lower cooldown on Shadow Meld. This rotation couldn't exist alongside the previous 54K. The Axe 2, Axe 3, and Stealth Axe are all very good and ANet only partially nerfed the damage of the Stealth axe.
Hi there! Am I the only one who is absolutely unable to replicate this attempt? I have pretty much the same equip, buffs, rotation, pace.. but there wasn't any moment during my tries when I had more than half of this DPS. Is it still doable or has it been nerfed in the meantime?..
It has not been changed (yet…) Its because its a horribly difficult build to play…. You need to perfectly time your ambushes with stealth, time peitha relic activation, time them with your malice stacks aaaand dont recall the axes while they fly… It will be nerfed for sure but this is abysmally hard to pull off even in a perfect training environment- lets not talk about real fights ^^ Better stick to one of the much easier staff deadeye spam 2 key builds from Iskariel 😊 Plus patch is coming out in less than 2 weeks so dont think this wont be changed 😅
@@Cross_111 Only thing needed to time is just not pulling 3 axes instead of 6. Everything else you mentioned is literally solved by clicking buttons in order.

while back it was proven that a lot of these videos snowcrows and other sites post were macro'd for the rotation so most of the time these players cant hit even close to these numbers when they actually attempt it themselves, not saying thats the case for this guy im just saying, but it is still useful to see what the build could do in its 100% most optimal setting. A good example is if you look at a lot of the CM runs for these guilds their actual dps isnt ridiculously impressive, like Ive hit higher dps in many raids vs the videos ive seen from these guilds on the same fights, yet on golem I can only get around 85% of the dps they can get
@@mr1357989 The reason you get higher dps than people in these guilds is because you're playing in low dps squads compared to them. You have way longer time to ramp dps in the phases. If you were actually playing in these groups with top players you wouldn't get anywhere near their dps :) It's the Bad Party High Dps meme. 👍
Gratz on the high number - one might fear incoming deadeye nerfs. I personally fear that incoming nerf will punish the new Power Deadeye build.. Is there a simplification of this rotation? Correct me if I understand the concepts wrong: 1) Use Axe 2 as frequent as possible 2) Use Axe 3 after every time Axe 2 have been cast twice 2.1) Unless you are at max malice. 2.2) When at max malice you are to redo 2 casts of Axe 2 before using Axe 3 on new (I find exceptions for this in the rotation though.. but it is hard to understand just from reading) 3) Use stealth attack ASAP at max malice 3.1) Use cantrip skills for more stealth access (does not apply to elite skill, here you are to save stolen skill for next max malice) 4) Only use Axe 1 for the stealth attack

A more easy rotation, is basically to use your venoms, F1: 2,2,5,1(stealth attack) 3 2,2,5,1(stealth attack) 3 2,2,5,1(SA) 3... and repeat You could also go with 2,2,2, stealth of your choice, 1(stealth attack), 3 and repeat U should reach something around 35k at least Note that using "Mercy" make it more powerfull if u can make a little timing trick but it is a bit difficult, so u could run an other venom or a trap

Only deadeye is like this TBH, specter and both daredevil variants are easy to play with decent benches.
Quickness deadeye is easy enough but otherwise yeah deadeye is kind of a pain 😬
