@@FinalBeta that's exactly what I am doing now. Went through End of Silence today. It's night time here in Germany and have to work tomorrow, so unfortunately I'm calling it for today. I'll pick up tomorrow from where I left. :D
*sees the notification of Final Beta covering my favorite Red song* *faints* XD Tbh I didn't realize exactly how often that one chord on the acoustic guitar is played during the verse until I watched this. And that slide around the 3:00 mark is like one of my favorite things ever lol. Awesome cover! I eventually want to learn this on violin but it's so hard to learn by ear. Idk how you learn guitar parts by ear.
Oh and you should for sure learn this song on violin. As for how I learn by ear, honestly I just take it one note at a time. I break it down into sections. So for example if I am trying to learn a song by ear, I'll start with the intro. The very first guitar note I hear, I try to find that note's location on my guitar's fret. I do the same for the note after that, and so on and so on. It sounds tedious (it is) but it's very easy for songs from Red, BB, Starset, most modern rock. It's super hard for me to learn by ear anything that has any sort of intricate fast paced riffs, which is usually found in metal. I'm not learning any Trivium songs anytime soon. That shit's too hard.
The reason I didn't watch the second it went up is because schoolwork has been a bitch today and I'm still not even finished with all of it yet... XD When I saw Red live and they played this song, I was fangirling a little too much to pay attention to what they did on the acoustic guitar lol but you're right. For some reason, it's just not an aspect of the song I pay attention to every time I listen to it. "certain drummer we know" lmao
True AF about Trivium though, lol. And yeah it's hard for me to have enough patience to do that tbh. It's also difficult for me because on violin, there are no frets, and when notes get to a high enough point, I have literally no idea what or where the notes are. It's going to take me a long time to learn it but I eventually will :D
HAHAHA you can always search for Trivium songs online on Songsterr. like for In Waves or sth. Matt Heafy's part: www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/trivium-in-waves-tab-s87054t4
If you don't have 200 bucks, you could just slap on some thick ass strings for drop B. I'm kind of going over kill since my thickest string is a 74. I use them for Drop G though so that's why I have on such thick strings.
Actually, funny enough, the issue is that I have the SE 277, which works great for drop B flat and drop A, but at drop B it starts to get almost too bright. And it's hard af to find guitars that are string thru body these days. Appreciate the advice tho!
Thomas the Pianist Oh damn thats's crazy. You could probably remedy that with some EQ settings. Once I go lower than B I have to completely remove the lows and boost the mids and highs in my EQ or else it's too muddy and bassy. So I guess in your case you could maybe do the opposite. You could increase the low end and lower the high end frequencies.
Hi everyone. How's you guys doing?
Final Beta keep it up
You can do it bruh
