Chris Shiflett of Foo Fighters did a great podcast interview with Mike in which they showed the audience Mike’s parts, including the solo, to Alive. It was hilarious because Mike had a hard time remembering and explaining how to play his parts, and it seemed Chris could recall and explain better. This is a song that Mike has played at least a thousand times and the interview showed he is an instinctive guitarist who plays more by feel than technical training. His live solos to the same songs change every time and I love that about his style cuz he shreds the solos and you never know what you’re gonna hear. I think Eddie loves them too cuz they give him a chance to catch his breath. 😁
Ya know, it's really lame when you guys come out of the wealth bubble to pretend you give a f*ck about connecting with anyone ONLY when an album comes out. Album is good, way better than expected, but to see Eddie doing cheesy interviews for album 15 after we all wanted that for 25 years, ya know, go jump. I'm spending my money supporting the new generation, y'all lame as metallica now. He couldn’t play Stone’s Alive riff right because he plays the accompanying chords over that part. Understandable.
