so i think you lost two points here. first: Todoroki couldn't use the ice along with the fire at that time because the fire was too strong and any ice he made would melt instantly. second: Iida says at the beginning of the episode "I can hold this mode for 10 minutes but it's so fast I can't control it!" in other words, making sudden changes in direction is still something he can't for sure it will be something he will get used to with time but he still can't. good reaction looking forward for The next
Physics and chemistry gives the answer to why iida and todoroki were so bad during this fight. Iida couldn't use his speed well because that much speed is really hard to control. Imagine a car going at 1000 miles per hour, you couldn't take a 90 degree turn easily at all. For his problem with going straight while the tower was falling, my guess is that the tower was turned into a liquid so it spreads out (and for the same reason as before, it is hard to turn at such high speeds). For todoroki its simple, the ice just melts immediately. However I'm surprised he would just put some ice on himself to cool himself down, no matter how small an effect it would have. While it is frustrating to watch (even for me), all of these problems have simple answers and it is hard to blame the characters here for these specific problems.
You say there disappointed you but again you shouldn't underestimate others because they the main people we follow doesn't mean they won't get there butt whooped
Todoroki struggles to use his ice at the same time still! Even if he did, it wouldn’t of made a difference, cuz as I saw someone say, it would’ve melted right away! Not to mention Tetsu was already sticken hot, so it would’ve melted instantly!
I think the reason Iida missed him in the beginning was becuz he didn’t have great control over that much speed yet! And throughout the ep, he seemed to be having a bit of trouble controlling where he’d go! Tho not too sure if this is the case?
Isn't one of Todoroki's issue with his quirk is that he can't really use it at the same time that well? He can't at the start. He did it at the same time during the Provisional Hero License Exam Arc tho that was when he was on the ground and not moving. That's why he was practicing it during the start of season 2 before the vanguard action squad attacked them. Maybe he can do it now but not when he's being punched by someone. Tho he could've just made an ice wall then create some distance instead of fighting him head on.
One thing that kinda annoys me with some of them, especially Todoroki, is that he’s terrible at combat!! Most far ranged fighters don’t train their skills in case something were to happen to their quirk! And that bothers me! We’ve seen Shoto try to fight before, and it was like he had no clue what he was doing! It really frustrated me! And to this day, it still seems like in the manga he still never tried to help his combat training!🙈 Relying too much on one’s quirks is not a good thing! It can be ones downfall! They’re just lucky Aizawa isn’t a villain! XD
The arc that everyone can’t wait for has actually been reversed with another arc! Sadly! They put another short arc in front of the huge MVA arc, because of the new movie coming out, and possibly wanting to end this season with a big bang! Us manga readers are upset with this choice, yet, we are kinda liking how they are handling it, kinda of? XD We just really want MVA! Either way! The next arc is pretty good!!!! It’s funny, cuz when I read Joint arc in the manga, it was my fav for a while! But after seeing it animated, I realized that even tho it was real good, and fun! It wasn’t as good as I remembered! I think MVA is now my top! Granted the current arc in the manga is phenomenal too!👀
