Nice work J Gold!! Aways like watching your vids and finds. Just brought myself a GPX 4500, now need to get out and learn how to fly the thing. Keep ya vids coming👍
You must have an inbuilt gold GPS, evey time you go out you find something....congrats mate and well done,. Love your vids, always look forward to them, cheers.
Hi there J, something you may be interested in. An Australian 50c coin is exactly one half of a troy ounce. Handy knowledge if you want to make a simple set of scales or test an existing set.
Still digging gold Jay, Good to see. Another interesting video, well done. Have a enjoyable festive season and a good luck detecting in the coming year. Cheers Peter T
Well done, just bought a GPZ 7000 and trying various settings to enhance the signal but quiet the machine down. Having trouble distinguishing between back ground noise and faint signals. I feel i`m missing a lot of gold. Can you tell us what settings you used for that area. Cheers.
well done mate. love the vids good to see the oliver ats in the field best boot around. keep it coming mate i want to read about yoir big find in the news
Gday Gold Rat, yeah mate, they are great! I believe they have a new model out, so when these wear out, i might treat myself to a pair. Fingers crossed on the big one, youll see it here I'm sure. Cheers. JG
Another good video. Thanks for sharing. Do you reckon at sometime you could film how you go about hunting for a patch so we can see how fast you cover an area / swing speed etc. I am always interested in how my method compares to others and maybe I can pick up a few tips along the way. Also hope you have a great Xmas and a happy (and golden) new year.
Cheers Pat. Ive been thinking of doing more instructional videos, some maybe in the near future ill take the time to make one. it just takes time away nugget hunting, and I've gold a gold addiction haha. But thanks for your feedback and all your support. Good luck if you get a chance for a swing in the summer and merry Xmas. JG
Hi jay! Love your videos mate, I bought a gpx 4000 as my first detector and have never been out detecting before. Heading out to dunolly this weekend to test it out! Any tips for settings etc.. would be much appreciated! Thanks mate
Gday Aaron. Congrats on the new machine. Ive never used a GPX 4000 so i cant really help you with the best settings. Do a google search I'm sure youll find the info youre after. Just keep at it, and dont give up. Its a numbers game, the more you et out there, the more youll find. Good luck and keep me posted on how you go this weekend. JG
Greetings i like your videos and i am interested in the tools you use. I want to ask what is the price of the tool you are using? And what brand or type ? If you want to buy online how ? i'm from indonesia..thank you
Another interesting vid JG. Thanks for posting. I presume you are v happy with the z. Did you have a 5 before that? And if so how do they compare? It seems to me that the z makes the targets more identifiable at the very least.
Yeah mate, i love the Zed. Its a great machine. I never owned a GPX, but to my knowledge it is comparable to a GPX with a 18" coil on bigger stuff with the sensitivity of an SDC on the smaller stuff. So its effectively 2 or even 3 detectors/coils in one. Thew GPZ is better on specimen gold then the GPX. It loves the larger surface area of speci gold. Ive brought the new coil (19") and I'm not really sold on the yet, but I've not had a chance to use it die to work and the weather (too wet or too hot). Fingers crossed i get some footage of the new coil in the near future. Cheers, JG
Hey jay were about's in Victoria, because I live in Australia Victoria and I have a metal detector as well mate, and witch metal detector do you have mate. And what's a good beginning metal detector. Thanks if your reading this mate.🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿 And would Melton or some were around in Shepparton have something if you know what that is behind the caravan park p.s. cheers mate
great going mate, Whoops lol. sometimes a new model detector does ok on mullok heaps in areas that have been flogged in the past with older technology as they've cleaned up alot of the junk. Are you in the stawell area there? the scrub there looks similar. Cheers beers and all the best for xmas :)

J Gold thank mate
hi jgold, what type of camera do you use for filming.
I use an iPhone 7 plus. Cheers.
Nice gold man . That piece at 12 .50 is reef gold .
Do you recon their will be some gold around Bendigo, Kyneton to be specific
My grandad just gave me his old detector it is a coinmaster and apparently they are really good
Defiantly around Bendigo, I've done well there.
maybe the coinmaster was good back in the day, but id be inclined to get something else for modern day prospecting.
Gold is worth $50/g I think? Some nice little finds just in time for Christmas. :-)
Indeed, Help pay off the debt from santa. haha. JG
Do you put on rough area or state at least ???
