I met them in Tavistock Devon UK in 1967 I was a steward .I chatted to them about Brian Poole and my song I wrote " You Treat me Cruel" I hoped they'd record it I wonder if they remember me.iI was their first public singing of Silence is Golden Edward smith. Edward Smith 1 second ago Maybe it's because those people can't hang any part of what they are
Yes, he still has that "cheeky chappie" persona and a glint in his eye. I saw him with Brian Poole a few weeks ago. What a pairing they are. I think his voice is better now it was in the early days.
they say never meet your dream.....well i met him ....and was so dissapointed,,,,when i tried to get his autograph he ignored me cos he was to busy looking for his groupies grrrr .i paid a tenner for his cheap cd and came home and listened to it once,it was crappy rubbish,so i binned it....
Sorry to hear that Liz, but I know what you mean about reality not meeting up to our dream/our fantasy... Do a youTube video search for "the tremeloes silence is golden unforgettable 1983", then jump to the 2 minute & 55 second spot ... Was Chip looking @you, or one of his groupies? A rather strange lear!
@@Deejaay83urj38 - It seems that's exactly what he did. Maybe he was drunk or stoned, who knows. I believe he was in hot water some years back from activity with minor/underage girls & either got suspended sentence or probation from the judge. Probably a financial settlement with it. Young groupies allowing themselves to get used, sad... : (( Protect your kids from perverts!!
