And just put every single demon hunter card in the top bucket, so that they only get shitty commons most of the time.

Bucket system is not enough. I see two solutions: remove illidan for being ultra op, or make the chance of getting any class card like 1%. Because Illidan is a new hero, his class card set is not so big, and every one of his class cards is simply too op for the arena. I guess he is still too op for the constructed too.
@@berryesseen yeh, what happened to the old hs philosophy of creating interesting (shitty) cards for classes? That's half the appeal of arena; an environment with weaker cards where unusual strategies can succeed.

FardHast on an average basis battlemaster should have close to 15-17 health

His low attack is pretty bad though..maybe 8 mana cause I think he can be exploited to create a super buff deck
Most probably a warlock card that fits perfectly to self damage lock.. maybe 8-9 mana is better, but that makes him a bit slow though..

I think a Warlock card and a 6 cost card, there's mo way you can otk your oponent being a Warlock with a minion's health. If it's neutral, 9 cost, just because of Priest.

15-17 health battlemaster means that you are at 14-16 health. In normal hs game that's quite close to death. And you think somebody would waste 7 mana for 3/15 without taunt or anything that can help you to stay alive in those conditions?
7 mana would be barely playable if it wouldn't required you to be on low health, and still be garbage.

Demon Hunter brings out the salt in many. I was excited to play some of the new cards in constructed, but DH has made me altogether sick of it. And I'm bronze 10 from not playing in forever

I think kripp did exceptionally well, if it wasn't for zeph am pretty sure would have had it. I would have done the get up and leave moment too.
He over committed just when he said he was feeling pretty good. Keep the divine shield and play that +5 damage beast to kill it while pushing damage and cards in hand.

I also lost my first arena game of the expansion with a 77 point classic control hunter deck. Lost to a DH when I tried to control the board, he had constant constructed-level quality cards and killed me with 1HP remaining. I didn't lose to any other DHs after that. I played control against every class except DH, where I just went face constantly. Ended up going 9-3.
I use to be upset that you stopped playing arena and started doing BG videos...after watching this, I finally understand
Kripp does NOT complain about tokens or rat pack this game.
Committed too much into a board clear. After seeing active Finley, should consider Zephrys as a possibility.

It helps being demon hunter. It also helps getting an active Finley as your random murloc from Fishflinger, and arguably the best card in the game (Zephrys). Like, no Zephrys and you win that game easy - though it took the power of Zephrys plus demon hunter as a whole to take you down.
The face when that Sir Finley dropped tho 😂

tbh was zephyr that won the game, not demon hunter card. at that point was too hard to comeback since kripp had 0 cards and DH had 4+
That was an insane deck to face first round, holy crap
A true never lucky. If the distribution on the Antaen's had been slightly more average, and one of his minions survived either time, he would have had the necessary damage for lethal a few times.
Also, I just realized the guy had TWO Antaen's in his deck, and was lucky enough to draw both, not just one, to activate his early-Finley and Zephyrs.

I drafted an outrageous 82 point DH deck on my first arena. I genuinely felt bad playing against any other class. That feeling didn't last long though, faced 100% DH from 6-12 wins.
Is this a game from before the nerfs? My 5 mana deal 10 damage, was 6 mana (with red cost, but.. in all games, and I didn't have a card that when it's in your deck make all your demons cost one more.. also.. only this guy was more expensive).
Ah yes, all the highlander cards popping and OP DH shenanigans. All packed into one game for the perfect video!
I've got mage miror match close to fatigue with Archmage Antonidas, Reno the Relicologist, 4x Alexstraszas, 2x Deathwings and some other insane stuff,
while 50% of matches are extremely one sided, the rest of time you basically play like around every lackey = 50% Deathwing or Twisting Nether.
They should lower the health total of demon hunter so that it's more balanced, 1 cost hero power (and small consistent card pool) for maybe 5 or 10 less health?

Yesterday I had a glitch where my demon hunter cards were basically nerfed and so were my opponents. From my match eyebeam doesn't change much except for when outcasted cost 1 instead of zero and Skull of Gul'dan cost 6 instead of 5.

@@danilvoiko954 I bought Naxx shortly after it came out, but been playing for free ever since. I just bought the battlegrounds perks for 80% of my gold and it seems worth it, considering I'm not going to buy much packs for the time being. The truth is, Illidan not just destroys the foundations of the current Standard meta, but also my intentions of playing it. BG is great fun, so I feel like I spent some gold to have a fourth hero to choose from. Legit.

I versed a Demon Hunter that coined out Wyrmrest Purifier.... needless to say a constructed Demon Hunter deck is better than 30 "random" cards.

I played like 4-5 run in arena, and yeah it was bullshit, every time when i thought ohh i can win against dh, they played the most absurd thing you can possibly inagine.(zephrys,9 mana dh dragon,2-3antheam)

That was basically what happened to me but even worse. . I didn't play a second game not sure I'll bother if they don't do something about it. Even taking into account the recent nerfs it wouldnt be enough I think.

The problem wasn't Demon Hunter cards, the problem was that stupid Zephrys; there were no way to clean that board, another than that and Deathwing.
This expansion is the final nail in Kripp's mid-life crisis coffin

I actually thought DH won't come to arena right away. Mainly because of the lack of card sets and also because almost all of it's cards are good in a nutshell and insane in arena. I guess I was wrong.
Any class could have gotten this absurdly lucky with highlander rng. It was just excerbated by the fact that DH as a class is probably programmed off in Arena given its debut and smaller card pool.
Honestly that wasn't the craziest DH I have seen in arena day one.... The singel strongest DH I encounterad had Wyrmrest Purifier turn 2 and then proceeded to have 4 Skull of Gul'dan, 3 Imprisoned Anthem and 5 (yes five) Priestess of Fury. How do I know this, because he drew his entire deck and played almost every singel card. I had an 82 point attrition Priest deck that almost could sustain all that value....
What if they make Holy Nova cost 1 if there is a demon on the board.
They should make priest be able to wreck demons

because it's arena, that is how you play, you have to gamble on your opponent not having certain cards to win which is why Kripp is the best arena player ever as according to Blizzards own stats.
That's why u can't get 12 wins I guess.

It's a new season the occurrence bonus for certain types of cards at the time of the recording wasn't completely known yet. Aoe and spell cards could have be plentiful. That guy high rolled and got lucky but kripp also played into just about any aoe, no reason to go beyond 5 minions. There was really no great benefit to having 7 minions over 5. I have watched his videos for years. That decision was highly questionable. He went from having some chance to winning near the end to none. Having 2 more minions at the end would of made a difference.

They should give you the option to play arena for free and get no loot at the end.

ive been playing with the emergency nerf version demon hunter (6 skull 6 anteean and 2 durability warblades) standard pure class card midrange. i threw it together and it seems to absolutely destroy anything (including other demon hunters) but decent control deck and i have yet to run into one.
only cost me like 1400 dust too.

1 twin slice
2 battle fiend (basically wanna hard reroll for this)
1 crimson sigil runner
1 shadowhoof slayer
1 chaos strike
2 furious felfin
1 henchclan hog steed (left it in by mistake but its been so useful i dont wanna take it out)
2 netherwalker (the amount of times this have given me just the right demon is ridclous: works 75% of the time every time)
1 spectral sight
2 umberwing
1 aldrachi warblades
1 altrius the outcast (only useful against other demon hunters)
1 eye beam
1 sayter overseer (questionably useful, but i cant think of anything to replace it)
2 illdari felblade
1 command the illidari (hard counters most demon hunter minions and good for taking back if the board if you need it)
1 gliavebound adept (too hard to play this card proactively, may switch out unless i can fit another twin slice in here)
2 imprisoned antaeen (mvp 2nd place)
2 skull of guldan (mvp 1st place)
1 wraith spike brute (if you know your going up against a zoo deck, hard reroll for this card, you will need it)
2 priestess of fury (when you start winning this ensures you wont stop)
1 coilfang warlord (squishes strong taunts, you wont need it often but when you do...)
and thats the deck. i may take out one or two of the card draw, and it gets hard countered by big priest (or anything else big honestly) unless they dont draw their control cards.
but in this meta, i have yet to lose using this deck
almost forgot, outcast the skull of guldan with moderate greed, but always play anteean first. you dont need extra card draw in this deck so never ever play skull for just the card draw, only for the mana discount, you will usually get at least one 0 mana card off it so is not really a dead turn on turn 6.
even nerfed these cards are ridiculously OP
you should win every game by turn 9 or less
