I’m gonna be really deep here and say that I think in a way they do take us from the hand and guide us. We learn many skills from our favorite games and we learn from life itself from them. Sure it’s all fiction, but the life lessons are still there. Take The Legend of Zelda for example. It’s a franchise full of adventure and fantasy, where you fight monsters and save people from their doom. It’s full of puzzles which helps with problem solving! The characters you meet along the way can represent the type of people you’ll meet throughout your life. You could say that even if it’s the smallest side quest, you’ve helped someone out in life and that gives a great sense of satisfaction. Every video game is different and has it’s own charm and lessons you learn from while also having fun! They can transport you to a different place and help you through tough times. I know I wouldn’t be the same person if I hadn’t been playing video games since I was really young!
