  • The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Switch frame rate test showing the framerate/fps on Nintendo Switch.

    The version tested was 1.1.1. Footage is from the game running in docked mode on a Mariko Switch.
    Docked mode uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being 1600x900 and the lowest resolution found being 1280x720.
    Portable mode uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being 1280x720 and the lowest resolution found being 1024x576.
    Portable mode doesn't seem to be using any anti-aliasing and docked mode appears to be using a form of post-process anti-aliasing.

    If the next generation of Switch is released, we expect to be able to play at 1080p60fps.

      Man Nintendo really needs to make 1080p/60fps handheld and docked dynamic 1440p/60fps a standard,that would be perfect for all their games

      @@JokerX350 I think the fact the naughty dog has never developed a game near the content of this game means that naughty dog would probably just screw things up. Has naughty dog ever developed an open world game like tears of the kingdom? No, naughty dog would screw it up with there creatively bankrupt ideas.

    It’s funny how any other game that’s 30fps nowadays gets chewed out and people bitching about it but Nintendo releases this game and everyone is all over its nuts lol praising it like crazy

    I only see Ultra hand hurting my eyes but i did enjoy Botw (Physically) so this shoudn't be bad (Whenever i feel like touching the Switch).

    6 god DAMN years and kocorico still dips I understand the console is limited but STILL they could of made it at a locked 30fps!
    I did buy a switch and am currently playing Zelda BOTW but I will wait to get this one with the next nintendo console hopefully next year!

      Bad frame rate directly impacts the gameplay. I keep seeing this type of comment on RUclips. What are you saying? We should just ignore poor performance?

    Just imagine this game with ps5 hardware specs for a switch 2 docked with what insomniac did with Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart it would be mindblow
