  • This free wheel is from a Road Master Mt. Sport. I take old unwanted bikes and fix them up and donate them to charity.

I put it in the vice like you had it but have it laying flat and level and grab the wheel an each side and with a super quick and hard yank I pull towards me with the left hand and push away with the right real hard and real quick and have never had one not come loose that way. The tool has to be clamped into the vice really good and tight and as deep as you can get it to go.

    1) leave the tire on
    2) put the spindle back in over the tool
    3) wear sneakers
    4) hold the wheel and stand on the wrench.
    You are welcome 👍😎

agree with all the steps except 4, I found putting a 3 foot pipe onto the wrench handle is less acrobatic

Well done but every once in awhile an impact wrench comes in handy for these freewheels and BB cups. Now seized seatpost are the worst but haven't figured a good impact method on those. Maybe my friends at Park can come up with one.

Thanks! I have a small impact wrench, but it's not that powerful. Need to get a bigger one. For seized seatposts, I use a combination of WD-40 and a big pipe wrench to twist the posts to free them. The wrench leaves teeth marks in the post, but I haven't found anything better.

@@edscyclingwithcoyotes that's what we do at fb4k's but it can be time consuming and we've had post so stuck, 2 people held the bike while another uses a big pipe wrench and 3' long cheater bar. take care.

@@notanomad9320 Wow! That's some stuck seat post. I've used a cheater pipe to put on the end of the pipe wrench, but nothing as long as you used. Another thing I've done is pound it with a mallet and a block of wood on top, but the pipe wrench still works the best. Thanks.
