i had 2 prior labrum repairs. An anchor came out from the 1st one and an anchor was inserted too aggressivelly on the second. I somehow moved it deeper through some motion/action. I found a surgeon that specializes in shoulder reserfacing. He identified severe glenohumeral artheritis and we decided to go foward with the TSR. I've had bicep pain since surgery #1 but was told the bicep tendon was just strained from the labrum. My new doctor identified a bicep tendon tear "at the groove". That led me here. i diddn't know what the groove was. there was a list of problems noted during the surgery. anyway, your video is extemely well done
Mine ruptured in April, 2 months after rotator cuff surgery on the same arm. When I attempt to workout, it cramps and hurts. How long am I supposed to wait for it to heal before I can lift again?
@@jstarkillah6502 tendons don't repair, when there is a full rupture, and you should check up with a doctor as soon as possible, the longer you wait the shorter the tendon gets and more scar tissue forms
Thanks Dr Nabil. I learn alot from tour videos. Is it possible that you could do a tutorial on the bicep tendon in its groove post tenotomy. My orthopedic surgeon cut my bicep tendon in my arthroscopic acromioplasty and bursectomy surgery. I still dont get it as all my imaging reports said my bicep tendon was unremarkable. Does the long head bicep tendon stay in its groove without problems. I would appreciate your knowledge and expertise.
I have a partial proximal tear of the long head. Will the pain ever go away? Its been 5 months. I do PT to try to strengthen the other shoulder muscles. I want to be able to throw a ball or a Frisbee again without pain. I am 42.
With suffering a recent rupture of the bicep tendon this was very educational and helpful. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hello, how is your bicep doing/looking now? How much strength do you think you got back? I tore mines today 😞
I tore mine on the left side last monday. How is it going for you all and has it been repaired?

U r the one and only great knowledgeable
Doctor in the world 🌎
Where does the proximal part of the bicep tendon heal too? If left alone?
Thank you, the video is very helpful.
Once I had an aged patient like this. When I explained to his wife what Popeye deformity is, she replied “If my husband is like Popeye, am I Olive?”.
Thanks for the informative.. great video
Thank you so much.
Is this stuff permanent? Is my biceps going to look bulging my whole life?
I bust out laughing when he said it’s not from eating too much spinach, it’s a a biceps tear 😅😅😅
Very, very helpful
Very helpful thank you
this happened to my husband an hour ago.I feel so bad for him..now, what to do? Dr., indeed. :(

Mine was on 20 February. It's July and I can almost lift the arm almost as far as the other. It hurts but the pain isn't as debilitating.
I had rotator cuff and bicep tenodesis 11 months ago and i still have frequent cramps/spasms when right arm lifting under tension such as bicep curls.
Hope it's it now? Is it completely healed@@mopacmel
If i have a proximal rupture,is there a time frame like the distal rupture where it needs repaired. Its been 10 weeks already
Thank's for this helpufully Science
How can this heal on its own?
Perhaps a compression sleeve along with resting the arm? Seems it would be an unpleasant experience.
it can't
@@CEEFITNESS why not
