I had already created my website when I heard about the need of creating a child theme. Only one other video came close to your video here; but your video explained in better detail about which plugin to select for those of us who had already created our website. What you said simply gave me the reassurance that I was selecting the best/correct plugin; and that all of my hard work and time was not going to be lost when I activated the child theme. I am a divi elegant themes customer and I spent so much time with their customer support and none of those mickey mouse tech. guys told me to make copies of the modified files into child theme, and again all my changes got lost after I updated parent theme. Thank you very much. You are our life savior and you should have a paypal donation button on your web. You well deserved some money from us as thank you for your help.
Thanks so much man! I had a child theme on my site forever but it just sat there blank. I never bothered to figure out how to get the header from the parent to the child, and always just ended up making changes to the parent theme. Thankfully I did it right, but stumbling on this video by accident ended up being perfect timing as I needed to not mess something up like doubly so. Haha. Now I got a child theme and was able to send the header.php over! Thanks again!
