Thanks for the question, Jeremy. The bees spend all summer storing honey and living off their fall collections to preserve the bulk for winter, so when we get long periods of rain, they are forced to break into it, which depending on how much, could cause a short fall when they need it most. Luckily for the bees, they're being managed by an experienced keeper, who's been feeding them thick syrup or what we call 2:1, so they're able to put any back and stick more away. Thanks for watching!
How much honey did you get? That looks like a lot.
Hi there! In total, we extracted 99lbs of honey from 1 colony. I still can't believe it. Thanks for watching!
That's a lot! @@theunlikelybeek
I didn't get any this year, my first year started with 2 nucs.
Curious. The way the weather has been, the past 40 days and nights, hehe. Okay, 8 or so. How do the bees fare?

Looks like the hives were somewhat successful. How much honey have you gotten?
Hi Rheanna! 99lbs from 2 colonies, I am beyond blown away, 1st year colonies never make anywhere near that. Thanks for watching!
@@theunlikelybeek wow that’s impressive. Got to love fresh honey
Store honey is typically less than 50% real, so to taste 100% pure, raw, there's nothing like it
Will you make an extraction video? 😊
Not this year. Everything gets sticky & messy, so I didn't want a camera in the mix.
