I think it's because they assume that k-pop only has "pop" as its genre. So people that don't like pop music in general will not like the cutesy kpop stuff. But boy.. when they get into the rock side of kpop, that's when all hell breaks loose. 😂

They are VERY different from each other. That's why I recommend to watch it all. You'll be definetly amazed.

BTS is the one made me interested in korean hip hop. I am a fan of hip hop since 2000s (eminem, Outkast,Dr. Dre, JAY-Z, etc.) but honestly cannot find good rap in kpop group before BTS. Yes kpop groups rap but idk, it doesn't sounds hip hop. No flow. BTS rappers (RM, SUGA, J-Hope) is what we called the trinity of kpop rappers in korea. Glad you enjoyed their song.

Love the reaction, very similar to mine, I had a bad first impression because I only had heard permission to dance and thought all their songs were like that, and it wasnt really my style, but later found out they have very good songs. Fake love is so beautiful and the lyrics are amazing too. Please react to I need you original version, mic drop steve aoki remix, black swan, or maybe check out there solo songs, V's slow dancing(or his tiny desk performance, it was so good), AgustD's Daechwita, and RM's wild flower and Jimin's like crazy are in my top picks, but they have so many good songs, all of them, solo or as a group. I dont recommend their english songs as they are more "pop" and were meant to uplift people during quarentine, they are fun, just not meaningful or anything.

BTS is the one made me interested in korean hip hop. I am a fan of hip hop since 2000s (eminem, Outkast,Dr. Dre, JAY-Z, etc.) but honestly cannot find good rap in kpop group before BTS. Yes kpop groups rap but idk, it doesn't sounds hip hop. No flow. BTS rappers (RM, SUGA, J-Hope) is what we called the trinity of kpop rappers in korea. Glad you enjoyed their song.

I also recommend “run BTS” and “mic drop Steve aoki remix” they also have many more beautiful songs, like “butterfly” “spring day” and “run” but most of their songs aren’t like the ones you’ve listened to so far, they have more of a soft vibe and there’s much more singing, because you’ve heard more stray kid songs and they focus more on rap but they also include singing while BTS focus more on singing but they also include rap, but the “run BTS” and “mic drop Steve aoki remix” are harder going and rap songs.
