Palmer has to start the next game and we need to start passing/carrying the ball forward. We’re making it so easy for teams to defend against us. Although, my.1 positive was I thought Gordon was exactly what we need on the left wing, Mainoo was the injection of energy that I think southgate wants Gallagher/Bellingham and I thought Palmer was better than Saka at right wing and seems to be more capable of taking a player on. His chemistry with Mainoo and Kane was much better than Saka too.
All the teams England have played so far have sussed out how to nullify any threat. Englands superstars have no idea how to vary play or change shape. I suppose that's partly down to dear old Gareth but not entirely. He has run out of ideas. Must play Palmer in next game. They know they must fly now it is a knockout competition.
