Just map the GCE percentiles to the corresponding GFE ones.. aim for 685 if you were aiming for a par score for Harvard or Kellogg (730 GCE median). On the other hand, those striving for a scholarship should aim for 705+.
I got 695 in GFE or 98.0%ile. should I assume it to be 740/750 and apply in my target universities? I am not keen on taking the test unless my chances are hit significantly.
@nive934 - We do not expect the population composition to change significantly. If it does, then we do expect the percentiles to change. However, the chances of that happening are not very high, given that the GMAT is already extremely popular worldwide.
I really appreciate your thorough analysis. Thanks a lot
You are welcome :)
Given recent percentile shifts, how should test-takers adjust their GMAT prep strategies?

Absolutely
Hey, can you please share your preparation strategy?
What old score does Q48 on the original GMAT mean on the new GMAT?
That would be about an 81.
Is 635( 85 percentile) a good score to apply for in the ISB and IIM A,B and C?
Depends on your profile.. the median score at these schools is about 655. So if your profile is good, a 635 might suffice.
Are people getting higher Quant scores on the new GMAT?
slightly higher.. given the fact that DS is not a part of DI. this is balanced out by the fact that students are getting lower scores in DI.
What is a good score for M7 schools in your opinion?
Any score 695 or higher is extremely competitive for M7.
Is that even for ORM, say an Indian male?
Why don't we expect population changes to affect percentiles significantly, and how can we track this?
