Israel has to free itself from dependence on the US for its arms supplies and technology. The future generation in the US as they come and go to power won't know or care for Jewish history so their support can go either way. I don't believe that Israel should sever its relations, just be less dependent and more self-prepared. The current situation will bring great learning opportunities to Israel in its relationships.
