The main issue was that the defender left his feet. Had he stayed on his feet since he lead with his arms it would have been clean. But the launch is expressly prohibitted.
As a niners fan, this loss hurts in regards to how we lost the game but give credit to Clevelands #1 defense. People will blame Purdy because of how much he struggled but Purdy did prove that when the game is on the line, he is good enough to put us in a position to win, its just unfortunate the rook missed the kick. The pressure was too much for him it seems.
Actually no, as a Cleveland browns fan, the pressure wasn’t the main factor. (Idk how they found this stat out) but a statistic came out that the kick was down the middle but the wind blew the ball 2.4 yds to the right. That Cleveland stadium is tough for kickers that don’t realize it, but it’s directly by Lake Erie and wind off the lake is crazyyy; you gotta kick every kick as hard as you physically can!

I'm not saying the kicker would have made to kick. I'm just saying Cleveland is one of the hardest places to kick in there's weird wind in that stadium. And since I don't live that far from Cleveland it's just weird wind period.
Barcode called Time out of the perfect time because the wind was calm. I just when he was about to line up to kick it there was a small little crosswind at the end of that end zone on my end of the field so I seen it perfectly and felt the wind too of course.
I think that routed them he just pushed it to the to the right a little bit and and that little gust just took it the rest of the way. You should have just kicked it straight on point like he did the last one that he made. It probably would have snug the goal post but it would have went in. I've been to some crazy windy ass games and the worst part is the wind swirls like a crazy drunk down on the goal post You can't even trust the flags on them. 💯 So when So when people say in all these videos oh he should make that kick. While they're sitting at home. With that crosswinds at the end of each goal post It's one of the hardest places to kick in the NFL. So I don't blame the rookie kicker even though I don't know this history but I seen good kicker struggle in Cleveland. 💯

The reason they called personal foul was because the 9ers defender launched his self off the ground, you cant do that to make a hit, reason its a hit on a defenseless player. Look it up.
Yeah, the ruling goes according to the launch. If he had not left his feet it would have been a clean hit as he lead with his arms. Because he launched and BOTH his feet left the ground it was ruled against the 9ers.

It was 50°F, 20mph winds and rainy. Throwing and kicks I'm sure were tricky, it's why Purdy fumbled when trying to throw on that one play.

Browns are on pace for a historic defense. They have given up the fewest 1st downs out of all teams (#2 has given up around 40 more 2l1st downs) and the 3rd fewest yards through 5 games since the league unified (least since 71 Colts) averaging 200.4 yards per game. Don't underestimate this defense.
The bad calls from the refs all game came from the pre-game fight that happened when the 49ers came to the Browns 50 yard line and started talking shit as the Browns were warming up. That 3rd and 10 call that was unnecessary roughness was because there was intent that the player was going towards the head a neck area. The refs are going to call that everyday of the week now because of player safety. What the highlights didn’t show you is a bs holding call against Wyatt Teller, Cleveland’s OG, that called back an amazing David Njoku TD. The weather did have an effect, also.

It was wet and raining most of the game, and the ball was slipping out of both QBs hands. That penalty on Gibson at the end of the game was because of the way he launched himself on Miller.

Walker started for Carolina last year so let's NOT act as if he just came in off the street. Chubb did play and who cares about OL when they HAVE the #1 D...so stop the 🧢. Besides, 9ers are 1-8 against Cleveland in Shannahans stint in SF. So losing to them isn't really all that surprising. Still the best team in the league.
