My fav poem it used to be ... one thing i learnt in my growing process...these lines written to console one's soul for whatever that happened in his/her life(beet gayi,so baat gayi) are associated with examples that are non living in nature(sky,wine,gardens etc) . As a human being we are souls, having all different kinds of emotions, attachments memories etc... There are many things in life we go through which can't be forgotten nor forgiven... although it's my fav poem but i don't find any sense comparing myself or any living soul with non living things and then saying jo beet gayi so baat gayi....and kab ye sab shok manate hai....bcz those are non living things🙄
The last stanza reconciles this contradiction by pointing towards the inevitability of death and oblivion. 'Pyaale toota hi karte hain'. We are bound to die. Our relationships will inevitably end either by death or by termination of feelings. Regardless of this inevitability, we must trudge on because moving on is the essence of life, and stagnation is death.

जो मादकता के मारे हैं
वे मधु लूटा ही करते हैं
