Mikaela Kravets Ik this is a year late but you can try to go to your local studio. If you don’t have the money or doesn’t fit your schedule you can follow tutorials for dance routines then you can mix them up and create your own. And continue to practice hope this helps!
This is my first RUclips comment ever, i usually just watch videos without leaving any comment. I discovered this girl few days ago and already seen all of her videos. I decided to take a moment to write down how i appreciate your person and your videos, Amy! Someone in a previous video said that there are actually more technical dancers on youtube and this may be true, but i think that achieving this level of dance skills by her own it's not something you can do without passion or commitment! But the most incredible fact is that Amy can really transfer good and positive feelings and her passion through dancemoves! Many other dancers seem only focused on the techicality of their performance but they lack of empathy! Keep going on with your videos Amy, i can really recieve part of your feeling even if i can't remake the moves you show us ;) Wish you the best!
I've been dancing since I was 6 years old and I used to perform a lot but when I was 12 I've been bullied at school and that caused me to lose all my confidence in everything including dancing and now I'm currently working on getting that confidence back… I think I'm doing well ☺️
I recently started taking an interest in dancing after the longest time. Everyone I've met has told me they practiced through videos online. Tutorials would be really awesome. You're a great dancer and you look like you're naturally having a blast while you do it.
Makes me happy to learn that someone else perceives dancing the same way I do. I can never get into dancing limited to counts I freestyle alot like you and feeling the music while I dance makes me feel alive. I feel anyone who uses counts alot when they dance should give dancing to the feel of the music a try and thank you Amy I really enjoy all of your videos.
I thought for sure that you had had classical dance training based on the fluidity of some of your movement. Wow, what a talent you have developed. My favorite dancer to watch!
I can''t dance with choreography either! It's so nice to know that someone else dances the way I do to:) I just go with the flow and listen to the song.
With music continually going through your head and with your body so well tuned to it, you would probably be an excellent musician if that ever interested you. I think it would come naturally to you. Your dancing is world class. Seriously.

I agree with those tips you gave, Amymarie! And if I may add one: be willing to search more moves and dancing styles, even those you might find weird, and learn from them. You might discover great ways to express yourself. You never know! As a (mostly) self-taught dancer, with a personal style that I describe as "a mixture of all kind of styles into one", it really helped me to pay attention to other dancers in person, RUclips or movies. Be willing to try new things, and see if I can use those moves as a way to express myself better, during the awesome freestyle moments. I'll always remember the day I tried "shuffling". It opened up a whole new dimension combining it with the rest of the styles and it helped my feet to stop being so frozen. So, to sum up: don't be afraid to learn new things! Sounds like a life advice XD
You should do a 2000-2016 dance video , choose music from 2000,2001,2002,2003,2004, etc. all the way to 2016. I would love to see you dance to all types of music from 2000-2016. Love your dance moves as well
I know exactly how you feel, I was complete shit at dancing and practiced in front of a mirror just learning my movements and what worked for me. I love just feeling the music and moving my body to what I feel. I'm also a self taught freestyler and it's so fun! Keep up the awesome work!
Thank you so much for this ! It has been 1 yr since I last danced due to insecurities and the fear of not being like others in my dance team. I now realize that dancing has always been my passion since I was a little girl. Those girls don't intimidate me anymore and I am determined to continue dancing no matter what people think, thank you!❤️

I would so love tutorials! honestly the reason Im so drawn to your style of dance is because your like me. Im a self taught dancer and I've grown up watching youtube videos on dance and copy it in the mirror and i watch shows like so you think you can dance but honestly I didn't know if I would ever be able to amount up to that kind of talent, but seeing this just gives me hope that I can become a better dancer so thank you for that! yeah Like you said don't limit your self with that thought or believe you can't dance cuz mind is a powerful tool and will make you can't do it. the more you dance and enjoy yourself the more flexible you get. and most important feel the music and go with the flow 😊 I love free style and Ecstatic dance 😍❤😍

I loved watching this ! I do like dancing and i have such a strange style since i mix in gymnastics and Martial art styled things but it's fun and i feel more that it's only the fact that i enjoy it that really matters thanks to you ^^
The way I dance is exactly the way Amymarie does it. That's the style of dance I love I've been trying so hard to find a dance that looks like mine, because the way I dance is like Trap, EDM, hip hop, dubstep, electro and vogue mixed together, and then I found her and I was like holy! she dances the way I do! but like over 9,000 times better! I just really look up to her and this video was really helpful! And if anyone knows what type of dance this is please tell me because Ik it's a mix of those on what I said :)

Surprised at how many here are surprised that she didn't take dance classes... You can kind of tell based on how Amymarie dances. Studio dancers can look flashy. And that's not bad. They do well together in synergized dance. But it's also step based and will always look somewhat stiff and less lively because it is very difficult to chain exact same moves together between people. (Note: I said very difficult, not impossible). Studio dancing is the best performance art for larger group dancing. And it will generally look a lot better than freestyle dance rhythm. But I myself prefer following rhythm of dance over studio choreography. You feel the music and your body dances around each key beat, frame, instrument, sound, even the vocal pitches of a voice. You just freely dance to the rhythm. It looks more lively and fun. And it definitely encompasses the body and soul of music the most, in my opinion. It's how I have ever known how to dance.
