1997 Skybox EX-2001 is an almost impossible BGS 9.5 or PSA 10 because there is a surface bump on his right forearm on just about every card. That puts the surface at 8.5 or 9 so the rest of the card essentially has to be flawless. On top of that it is the anchor design for the credentials which are legendary.
I know everyone is crazy about insert and parallels but I love MJ base cards. Often find them more visually appealing. I know I’m in the minority. Something about the simplicity of them. Then again, Ex-2001 ain’t simple and it’s beautiful 😊 I think it deserves the price tag given the low pop and aesthetics
I love this card. Both years are 🔥. Definitely 2 of the best base cards ever made. Probably the best 2 actually. Then I’m going metal universe and flair showcase. In that order. It’s funny I wrote this before watching whole video and you spoke about every single 1 of these
Fleers 86-87 and 87-88 were about the same print run. Both runs had printing issues. Man, I need to put gold stickers on my PSA 10 Jordans, Sticker came from PWCC stuff I bought from them didn't have stickers but them only started that later. All the foil cards will go up as collectors realize how low the pops are most of Michael Jordan.
I did not sell out. It was a flop and I got tired of marketing the packs. I have 9 packs left for sale and as far as I know, nobody pulled the biggest hit card, which was the N-tense PSA 10
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and IMO, those MBA stickers aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on. It’s just a money grab. I haven’t seen a recent one, but has he corrected the spelling and grammar mistakes on the certificate? It just screams unprofessional. Again, just my opinion. Keep up the good content. The late 90’s-early 2000’s was the prime of my collecting life.

Yeah seems like the right forearm dimple is present in this PSA 10 copy too...not sure how that flies under the radar
@@ekolbatx My 9.5 has one too...all 9.5 subs and a 9 surface.

I love love love the EX-2001 set - first complete set I added to my PC when I started collecting again!

I just went & picked up a psa 8 not long ago.
Back new into hobby 1 yr in
That 1997 E-X2001 set is a great set and reasonable to buy considering how high end it is. Doesn't hurt they didn't make a zillion of them also.
So many idiosyncrasies with this gorgeous card--the ubiquitous elbow dent among others... tuff, as we used to say--nice analysis Cajun!
@Cajun cardboard I got the fleer retro of this card and it’s moving up the price ladder too love the accetate cards specially the exs
Acetate card is so sensitive to grade, it is the most beautiful base card imo
eBay sales of that card are sane
It’s a beautiful card I have a KB AS WELL
The 1997 Metal Universe Jordan base #23 is the best base card in my opinion
No room for the poor man and no cap for the rich man

That’s not correct. The print run of 1987 fleer was about 1/4 of the print run of 1986 fleer.
How did the repack initiative turn out? Did you sell out?

No price surprises me anymore. Insanity
