All NEW Mercedes EQE 350 AMG Line 2024 - Visual REVIEW, exterior & interior

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350 marks the introduction of an all-new electric sedan to the Mercedes lineup. As the name suggests, the EQE is an electric variant of the E-Class, much like the EQS is to the S-Class. However, the EQE rides on its own unique EV platform and has a design all its own.
At a starting price of $76,050, the EQE 350 is aimed at luxury buyers looking for the refinement of a Mercedes coupled with the serenity and efficiency of an electric powertrain. It will compete with other electric sedans like the BMW i4, Tesla Model S, and upcoming electric variants of the Audi A6 and Porsche Panamera.
The EQE 350 features a 90.6 kWh battery pack and single rear-mounted electric motor producing 288 horsepower. Mercedes says this setup is good for 0-60 mph acceleration in 5.6 seconds. As with most EVs, instant torque from the electric motor provides brisk acceleration right off the line. An available dual-motor 4Matic model produces 402 horsepower for even quicker performance.
Real world driving range is expected to exceed 300 miles based on European estimates. Our early testing showed 260 miles is achievable at 75 mph highway speeds. Charging the 90.6 kWh battery from 10 to 100% takes around 9.5 hours on a Level 2 charger. DC fast charging to 80% capacity can be done in just 31 minutes. This makes the EQE 350 competitive with rivals in both driving range and charging capability.
The interior of the EQE can be described as futuristic luxury. Sweeping displays with Mercedes' latest MBUX interface dominate the dashboard and center console. Materials and build quality are excellent, as expected in a Mercedes. The cabin is also exceptionally roomy thanks to the dedicated EV platform and lack of a driveshaft tunnel.
Ride quality and noise isolation are excellent, making the EQE an ideal long distance cruiser. Handling is composed but lacks the sporty dynamics of rivals like the BMW i4. As with most other Mercedes models, adaptive air suspension is available to further enhance the ride.
On the technology front, the EQE comes well equipped with all of Mercedes' latest driver assistance and infotainment features. Standouts include the expansive Hyperscreen display, augmented reality navigation, intelligent voice assistant, and advanced driver aids. Over-the-air updates will keep things fresh over time too.
While the 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350 may not be the most exciting or sporty electric luxury sedan, it excels at providing a serene and luxurious driving experience. With Mercedes pedigree and technology, 300+ mile range potential, and a beautifully crafted cabin, the EQE stakes a solid claim in the emerging electric luxury space. It may not be love at first drive, but the EQE 350 checks all the boxes expected of a modern electric Mercedes.
