I've got a friend here in Freeport Texas named Capt Kevin Martin also. He does offshore fishing trips. I do too but not professionally. I love these videos. Rob seems like a great guy with a great family. He reminds me a LOT of a good friend of mine in clear lake who is also named Rob. The reason for my post, all of the speckled trout here now have white worms in them. It's sad.

My all-time favorite fish to chase. Love the fight of trout, enjoy the simplicity of filleting trout, and of course the ability to cook them pretty much any way you want. If you want too. Check out and see if you can go to a fishing trip to Mt. Shasta Cailornia. You can fish for German Brown, Brook, Speckle and Rainbow Trout. I use to go and visit my Uncle in Mt. Shasta almost every Summer when I was little. Really good time. There's good Deer hunting there too.

I caught a ocean speckled trout once. It was like 6lb. Wrapped in foil with 2 sticks butter over grill... man, bestest ever(melted in mouth) Enjoy your fish very very very tasty I appreciate everything you do and keep cutting out the good videos bud thank you. Hey Rob a nice way store fish if you plan to freeze em is to put your fillets in a ziptop bag and then fill with water. Prevents freezer burn and it lasts longer.
My uncle showed me that when i brought some rainbow trout from MS back to cali.
We used to catch Speckled Trout two-at-a-time on "speck rigs" which were a tandem version of the lures y'all had under those popping corks... Good eating, too! :P

Hey Rob i am from Puerto Rico and i enjoy watching your videos, and Ive learned a lot how to clean and cook my lobsters, its difficult to have them fresh here but i try to buy them in whole, cause they sell them frozen and just the tails, here a lobster is very expensive, i paid last week for a little one almost $35.00. God bless you and your family, ill be going to Fort Lauderdale the 30th of Sept, and coming back to PR the 29 Oct. VACATION TIME, hope to keep watching these videos and learning more day by day. I love Louisianans! We had a bunch of us from the Great Lakes region go down there and they treated us like family. We discoverd that people from the midwest and the bayous have one major characteristic in common; If you're nice to us, we will try to out nice you, but if you get crazy on us, we *will* out crazy you!🤣
Awesome eating fish during the colder months in south Florida the meets not so mushy in the winter... baked in the over smothered in sweet peppers and a sweet Spanish onion some butter and seasonings... 👍👍👍

Late May and early June we would fish for trout on the inter coastal waterway 1/2 hr before dark on top water lures and slay big trout! Awesome time! Flagler beach.
I remember as a kid people in our town would set nets for spots and those speckled trout were gold

Yes you hear about norther Marianas islands! I too was raised at and island where you could see rota from its call Saipan ! But originally from Palau , and I would love for you to check it out, it’s a good tourist place , and you would love the sea life there !

Speckled Sea trout are the best. My favorite way to cook them is lightly breaded and pan fried with some lemon juice.
