You should learn how to scuba dive! It’s like snorkeling, but 1000x better. (You can buy your own equip 1 time, to save.) This video was epic though! Smart way to vacation on a budget
I must say, there’s something priceless that you got to experience that the resorts could NEVER duplicate; the locals culture and friendships. This way is exactly how I love to travel and experience different places. I feel so blessed to have found your videos/channel, so thank you friends!
Another great vlog, what a special treat to eat with a local family...as for the shark swim, it looked like two of them got up close and really personal with you, Joe 😮.
Wow! I've watched two of your videos and subscribed right away. You both had me laughing, lol. My well off friends visited Saudi Arabia and the Maldives and came back so excited, but also light in the pockets. Of course they stayed in the cabins on the water. Awesome I am following you there in March. If you just droning on sand bars is it necessary to do the drone registration thing? I will check out your budget pdf soon. Thanks for reply, Philippe
Hey sorry I must have missed your comment. But to answer: on paper yes, but in reality no. Nobody asks for it and flying a drone is not a problem at all
Love your videos, vitality and kindness. You guys have a great connection and a lot of fun. Thoughts…the thing about the Maldives though is to get away from the towers, traffic, piles of shops and cement partitions, agencies and get to the palm covered islands- don’t you think? There are remote islands with villages without all that chaos. Don’t you feel such a spectacular place would have been worth spending more than 3 days and $300? Don’t you feel allowing for a bigger budget would have been worth it? Still, loving your videos.
Heyhey! So glad to hear that you enjoyed the video! And I totally agree, after doing all of those activitys in Male and Maafushi we started looking for more quiet island and on off-season we found quite a few of them on the neighboring Atolls, but we will talk about them in the coming videos 😁. When it comes to the budget then of course 50$ per day is a little restricting, but already for a 100 you can have pretty much everything you wish on local islands. And honestly although I would like to spend 1 night in a resort just to know how they are, then locals island are much more our style of traveling 😁
@@WildVikingTravels Hey Bro thanks for the great reply. You’re talking to a guy who is obsessed with atolls and tropical islands. I’ve done my share of island hoping. I highly highly recommend the Kei Islands, Maluku Province, Eastern Indonesia. 400 flat coral palm islands, village life, powder white beach, sand bars, reefs, day trips whipping through turquoise waters. Coastal Cottages, on Pulau Kei Kecil. Fantastiicoma!!! I’m Alan, good to meet you. Love your guyzez energy.

Hey guys, your videos are super useful. Honestly I would have been terrified of so many sharks, you are brave! I was wondering what you'd recommend as the best beaches for swimming? Strangely I don't seem to find much information about good swimming spots and a lot of the photos of the Maldives don't show people swimming at all which seems worrying.
Have you had to request filming permits in any of the locations you recorded vlogs so far? I find this to be a very grey area. It's said that for social media generally you don't need permits, but if your channel is monetised it's considered commercial purpose for which a permit is needed. I'm so confused. What do you know about this?
Heyhey. When I film people then I always ask for permission, but for locations not really. And no one is enforcing any of those rules, even drone rules in this county are weird, you are supposed to get a permit for every flight, but 100s of people fly drones here constantly and Nobody really cares.
Basically yea. If you don't book accommodation you have to show proof of funds on border. I think it was about 100 dollar per day for each day spent in the country. But you have to book the first one beforehand
Thank you for the video. Had a quick question. On local islands does everything close really early? My only worry that it shouldn't be boring after sunset. Thanks!
You guys are very different to me, but I like you! 🤔 travelling on a budget? Paying $4 for a sea view? I mean that’s ok, but to then be given a room, without sea view? Why didn’t you point it out to the hotel and save a few dollars?
Haha. It's a good question. I actually talked to the owner and he said he just bought the place and is trying to erase the last owners mistakes from booking.com which takes time. But since they did everything elese prefectly i did not find it necessary to point them out in any negative way 😁
