Picking up my Quest tomorrow. I been so excited for this product. I love PvE things in TCGs. Thank you for posting! Now to grab some food and watch what unfolds.
Hope you enjoy the video! We had such an AMAZING TIME playing this together. Can’t wait to try with four players in total and with Ursula in the hardest difficulty. I hope you enjoy the game as well. Thanks!
This game scenario is definitely a fun idea for people who want to play the game for fun, like a self contain board game. I hope we see more of this in the future.
Hey there! Yes, we realized that the second time we played the game mode. We did a very comprehensive and complete video showing all the rules of how to play the game. Check it out if you are interested on it. Thanks! :)
Yes, we always use the app to track our lore in regular matches. But for the sake of this video, we wanted to fully rely on the products out of the box! ^^ The good news is that with the release of the updated version of the app, there will always be a new lore tracker dedicated to Illumineer’s quest. And it looks AWESOME! Can’t wait to be available so we can all use it!
I think the Fortunate Hit card meant you got to destroy one of her items. Also when you were playing each round with Ursula's Contract, I don't think that card abilities should have been used, but we need to know what "Battleground Abilties" mean, we need that clarified.
The rules are very clear in the game. Battleground Abilities are the abilities that you can get from the Battleground Oversized card (the difficulty settings one). With that card, you can "pay" lore to activate individual abilities, once per turn. So, all "Ursula's Contract" does is NOT allow the player to activate those. In our game, we only activate that ONCE, and it was when we have removed the contract from Ursula's board. So it was correct! ;) Regarding "Fortunate Hit", you are right: it was Ursula's items that was in stake, and not ours. We missread it! ^^
Very cool video ! The PvE seem very nice to play it. I know what I'm gonna try first when i received all my products !! 🤩 (The donald playmat is AMAZING 😍 i want it too !!!)
This game is AWESOME! We super recommend it! If you have the chance, grab it and play with your friends. We can't wait to try the other difficulties level. :)
I bought the Quest yesterday and have played several solo games with each preconstructed deck. My feedback/impressions: 1/ Impossible to win with the Amethyst/Steel deck, but I managed to win a few times with the Amber/Ruby one. There are clearly synergies between the decks but the Broom one is more of a supporting one, only good in a 2 player setup IMO 2/ In the dozen games Ive played, Ive never used the battleground abilities. Thats a bit sad. 3/ No character in Ursula's deck has reckless so they'll never attack your characters. A bit sad too.
We haven’t tried solo, but may give it a whirl to see how it plays. Which difficulty level did you try on? On paper I thought the Steel Amethyst deck would be stronger, but Amber Ruby definitely felt better when playing. 100% agreed about the Battleground Abilities. We always felt so under pressure to just be controlling Ursula’s board, we never really had lore to sacrifice (we also misunderstood how Ursula’s Contract worked too, so maybe that played a part, lol) And yes, the whole game we were expecting a reckless character to come out so played quite cautiously. It feels like such a missed opportunity not to have some in her deck. Especially since the rules mentions that specifically! I guess they’re “future proofing” the rules a bit.
Maybe rather than attacking her characters you should be questing more, I mean she does have to get to 40. Thanks for showing the gameplay, and I get the concept of slowing down her quest gain, but I would be questing a lot more often.
Yes! Charlie and I were actually going through the gameplay again today and he said the same thing. That we should have likely just focused on questing more, but at the same time it was so fun to experiment and take the risk! XD
Hey there! Unfortunately, we can't sell these, as the original art doesn't belong to us. But stay tuned to our channel, as we plan future giveaways and subscriber's prizes going forward including playmats. Thanks!
We designed the playmats ourselves and had them printed locally here in Canada 😊 Because the art is owned by Ravensburger, they can’t be sold. But we’re investigating doing some giveaways in future, so watch this space 🤩
Thank you SO MUCH! Honestly? Out of all videos we made so far, this is the one we enjoyed the most. This game is SUPER FUN! Enjoy your own playthrough once you get the product.
Hey guys, very nice video but i think you missplayed the item ursulas contract. I think it goes like this. At the turn ursula played the item "ursulas contract" you as her opponents canˋt use the battleground abilities. At ursulas next turn, this item will bei banished and ursula will get 3 lore. Otherwise it wouldnˋt make sense when more copies of "ursulas contract" are in play.. Thank for all the work you put in your videos.
Haha, thanks so much ❤️ You’re totally right, we misunderstood how the item works. It was one of many, many misplays we made 😅 We did better in our second attempt
@@InkbornHeroes I believe this rule is also intended to be interpreted as (make the decision as if Ursula was making the decision, or as stated in other games as "least beneficial to the players") : "If any effect requires Ursula to make a choice, players make that choice together and resolve it as though she had done it." So in several places you should have used the Ursula's Contract much sooner to allow her more card draw earlier. Allowing the card to just sit in her play area when she only needed 3 lore to get to 10, or 30 benefitted you two more than Ursula. I do not believe this is how it is intended to be used.
@@mtggamingbob2822 Hey there, thanks for the comment! As we mentioned above, we missplayed during our first round of the game and missunderstood the "Ursula's Contract" card. The intended behavior is that both conditions are triggered. We don't get to pick which one. AND, once back to Ursula's turn, the "Minor Stipulation" ability is triggered, banishing the card and giving Ursula 3 lore. Our mistake in the video was to think that every turn we could pick one OR another ability. But in this case, its both. :) We explain that on our detailed "How to play" video. Check it out!

At 22:13, can you really exert the lantern for your teammate? The card says "you" pay for the next character "you" play. Or is that a special rule for this coop mode?
I believe all cards can be played/used for teammates and yourself. I know I'm attempting to play this for the first time with 4 players, using these 2 decks and the 2 starter decks. Blue steel Anna gives hero characters +1 lore, which should effect all players characters. The piglet here gained the bonus lore from the combined total of characters on the board. I think for your question, the owner of the item has to choose and approve of it's usage. So I can't say my partners mouse armor targets my character this turn, they would have to choose and use it. Lantern can be exactly that, owner allows usage to the other player for their card play that turn
