For anyone curious (and im a big nerd for that paint scheme) The B-52's Paint was during NASA's X-15 Program, only 2 got that Paint 'Balls 3' and 'Balls 8', They've since been replaced by newer 52s, i believe both are preserved and the New ones are in NASA white & Blue
I LOVED building balsa and tissue paper model airplanes when I was very young, late 50's I believe, and would spend hours watching my best friends father building a large Piper Cub, I knew I could do something like him. So,...30 years later, I built my own fantasy aircraft...it was a kit from Royal, the infamous P-38! A pair of OS46 motors and Roberts retracts put it in another class at my flying field. It's twin 46's got everybody's attention when fired up. It was a handful when an engine would shut down though. These planes are pieces of art 😉🙂
That looks like an addictive way to spend time and money. My brother has a pilots license and soars gliders also, for at least 25 to 30 years doing RC as a hobby. Cool video, I'll be back for more.
The largest one I've seen was a quad turbine C17 at Barkston Heath. They had a separate trailer for the plane, the wingspan was around 25 feet. Damn that thing was huge!
I love RC Planes. Some Guy here in Germany build a 1/13 scale Airbus A380. 18.5 feet in Length, 20ft span and 226 pounds in Weight! This Plane is giant!
Guy runs hobby shop, loves it so much he shares with his community, and makes some of the best memories with his family and friends along the way. If this isn’t winning life I don’t what is😅
Fun fact Bomber field has a fun little 1/16 scale RC tank club and if your really nice and polite to them they can let you drive one of their tanks around.
I flew here with my uncle as a kid! Holy crap my mind is blown right now. 😅 I’ll never forget when he crashed this plan that took him over 1,000 hours to build. Custom everything. He called it Super Chaos. I don’t remember specs. I was a teenager when this happened. Jet powered, big but small for the power the engine had. We flew my glider and my Super 40 trainer off and on between test flights of the Chaos. Every flight he pushed it faster and faster. Not once did anyone ever get any indication of a problem. (There was 10 or so of us there flying that day). My uncle was the only one with a jet powered vehicle there that day so even the people not with us were watching. It was cool. Well… When he finally went full power, about 3 second after full power the wings folded and she died of death never to fly again.
I'm just saying knowing Texas we have anybody that wants to come and fuck around I guarantee these are the first drones that are coming for them got to love Texas
Every plane you showed was awesome! Gluedobbers in Broken Arrow oklahoma used to have some really good shows. Not sure if they still fly out there or not.
I flew a buff during incentive flt. You had to crank hard to get it to respond. Fired the 50s before they took them out over Galveston range. The rest was AR by a boomer I knew and sitting in the DI seat eating a box lunch.
That B-52 could be used to strike down genuine targets, imagine seeing an enemy plane flying above, thinking it's normal sized so it's just far away, then it suddenly dives and hits you directly in the face within 3 seconds.
It's a B-52. It even has the original pointed tail. Yes, the B46 did have a similar look, but the front end is B-52. I'm a retired CMSgt with 26+ years active duty and was stationed at Castle AFB for 4 years where they train all the new B52 pilots. Plus my Dad was an aircraft electrician on them and told me the AF cut off the top 20% of the tail after the first couple years to reduce drag and improve mileage. If you look at the tail on the ones flying today, you'll see I'm right.
B-52 that big wow ! Wish we had rc shows this way more often
It's actually very small. The regular ones are much bigger.
the only thing cooler than a RC B-52, is a B-52
@@Crlarl well we fucking know that, you’re comparing an RC one vs a real one, of course it’s small
@@doubledoublelemyes we know, you delightful person. That’s why their comment was so funny!

Side note It hard for me to gasp as hard as i did when i Saw that Orange with the Black Chevron
That being the case, I can only see one next step for this particular model...
Care to take a guess at what that is?
@@richard1472wing mounted X-15 BABYYYY
X-15 RC is basically a air to air missile
@@Megatronus_TheFallen they could actually power it via rocket and then parachute it down or add a second mode of power to bring it back
Tiny planes, giant pizza. These dudes are living the life
Lol😅 :)
That B-52 is a beauty
Been there…. Bomber field was a great memory ❤
Guys coming from Texas are happy.
Hard not to be happy when you're living in God's Country :)
Nice to see a family sharing. Most hobbies are OUR hobbies and family tend to get tired of them...
The BUFF! SAC, Strategic Air Command !
The buff is forever. 🎉
Personally I am really impressed because I always knew they made other military aircrafts, but this was the first time seeing some of them. Very cool!
That b-17 looks beautiful!

That P51 Mustang with the Tuskegee Red tails marking is amazing! What a great paint job!

Good job and thank you for making a quality, entertaining video without clickbait
Who was expecting that pizza to fLy? 😂
I should go visit! It’s pretty close

That is art. No question.
I honestly thought the Pizza was rc for a second there.
BUFFs are super loud.
Great coverage 👍
The BUFF!!
I waited to see the B52 and you cut it short!
For a second there I thought you guys were going to be flying the pizza and I didn't see any motors on it but then I realized oh it's food😂

After we built the models, we had to run around the backyard pretending we're dog fighting. This would be a literal dream come true.
Good times man!
That pizza and the B-52, AMERICAS GO TO THANGS❤
Unfortunately y'all cut off the video for the B-52 after it took off? In lieu of showing a pizza
The L35 was almost the same size as a real one. lol
I so wanted to see the buff go up. I was on a bomber base for 3+ years. Sim tech, we taught pilots to live through the really bad stuff.
Yeah, Texas is big I'm not lying, I lived there.

Do they have a mini ArcLight dropped from the buff?

They used to have a flying push mower there
That F100 was INSANE. Might as well just build a real one at that point that you can get in and fly.

I think that is a B-47. Looks very similar to a B-52 but the nose is the big visual difference between the two.
