Yeah, I appreciated this movie since the start and didn't dislike it much. However, now that I watched this video I wish that Peter at least went to the funeral at the end of the movie, Gwen wouldn't be upset with him and with a twist like that the movie would've at least had a better ending.

On the note of suit stickiness: real spiders use static cling to stick to walls and ceilings. Static cling should function through thin clothing like that.
4:37 In the comics, the explanation for them being able to wallcrawl through their clothes is that they can control the flux of electrons, making their bodies and clothes covering said parts of their bodies the opposite charge of the surface they're crawling on. Since opposites attract in atomic charge, this makes the clothes sticky as well. At least, this was my interpretation of the explanation.

Usually when Spider-Man swings from the sides of buildings, he has to occasionally run across the side of one because he’s constantly going back and forth which could easily slam him into a building. Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man didn’t do that a lot but he also swung from thin air so I don’t really mind the whole crane thing 🤷♂️

11:54 high boi has some personal grudges against that police man
Even called him a pig
4:47 actual spiders use an electrostatic current to hold on to walls, and that's mostly how he sticks through his shoes. Electro actually figures this out in the comics and uses it to prevent Peter from sticking to walls
I knew that also, thats impressive. You are one of the few people who reads the comics 😄
Also in the raimi version, Peter sticks using bristles that come out of his fingers which go through clothing
le deadass me thinking it goes through

electrostatic current is not the correct term bro.... Static means charges/electrons are at rest while current means charges are at motion.... So "electro static current" term becomes an oxymoron.

11:00 😂😂😂😂
10:55, It's Fuckin Emma Stone
Yeah, honestly, the "Peter misinterpreted the words" trope is tiring, but it's also a significant part of his identity. Ever since he was an emotional teen, he's had to suppress himself to become Spider-Man. He's still a troubled and confused adult who makes bad decisions in the heat of the moment. I can't say I'm happy with how he abandoned Gwen in the movies, especially since she's clearly an 11/10, but it makes sense that Peter Parker would sooner shoulder the burden of isolation than keep those close to him involved in his troubling existence.
@Ghost-Spider something tells me this is definitely a completely unbiased statement

3:33 “formulatically” is not a word but “formulaically” is and it’s also the perfect word to use in that sentence. It’s probably the word brodie was trying to say tbh.
What High Boy said about Minecraft and this movie is true, tho. Especially about Minecraft. It used to be extremely hated, and it was like that FOR YEARS, despite the game being really similar to what it still is. It's just that most people are unable to form thoughts of their own, and as soon as "ceartain" big creators came back to it and started treating it with respect (yeah I know, shocking how you can still show respect to thing people don't like) and enjoying it, all the npcs came out of the woodwork claiming it was "the best thing ever", refusing anyone could say anything else about it. Personally, I don't enjoy playing it that much. But I still have respect for it and other opinions. Which is something that the sheep couldn't understand back when they hated it, and still can't understand now that they literally adore it as the "bEsT gAmE eVaAaH".
the rant on people just going from hating to loving things is my favorite part. some people really just flip flop their opinions whenever other people do the same and at that point did they even have their own opinion to begin with
Majority of the haters were bully Maguire fans who couldn't handle not seeing a carbon copy of the "oh so perfect" Raimi trilogy. Don't get me wrong that trilogy is iconic, but that didn't mean they were supposed to blindly hate Andrew's version. Heck the DC has had so many Batman and Superman movies idek all of them and they have no issue picking a favourite without hating another. It all comes down to Spidey's fame as a comic book character, and causes such polarization.
Yeah those kind of people are scum in my eyes.
If someone in the internet says your opinions sucks, ignore them or give them the middle finger. stick with your opinions through and through cause in the end of day some strangers word has no weight and isn't some god-like messiah bs that will cure cancer and end world hunger crap.

One thing I liked about the movie is a very interesting look on Peter. For example, instead of just a bullied nerd, he's the weird kid who sits in the back of class and is a smartass-asshole. Sure, I fucking *love* the goody-twoshoes nerd that Maguire portrayed, but i find this version to be interesting. And i loved the bridge scene, where he saves that kid instead of chasing the villain, because it was the right thing to do.
I wish they hadn't cut some scenes, because those were better than the ones already in the movie. I wish Mark Webb got to do his shit, and make a good movie without so much interference. It would have been... good.
And amazing.
I think that version is more relatable and realistic than the Maguire one. You believe a character like that could exist and I think it's a better representation of what a nerd would look like today. Not that old cliché of the nerd being bullied because you can't be smart and popular or look good but be too awkward to be popular.

For Spider-Man's ability to stick through his clothing: it _does_ transcend, but the material has to be thin enough. Hence why his shoes end up looking more like slippers than anything. Also why he's able to stick through things like wallpaper which should, in theory, just tear off otherwise.
How does miles stick to the huge skyscrapper in Into the Spider Verse then?
Isn't he supposed to have small hair-like things that go through his clothes and atach to things? I allways thought that
I thought it was explained away with magic in the comic maybe I'm wrong.
@@Seloliva1015 That was something that Raimi did for his films, in the comics its more like an attraction that he can control by will. I just realized that if they are little hair things, it doesn't make much sense for why he doesn't just stick to everything (Do the hairs retract?)
@@Ghosty5938 A Spider-man encyclopaedia I read said that sometimes he has the hairs on his hands and feet, sometimes it's like a magnetic field that means that he could be wearing the biggest platform shoes in the world and would still stick.

I just found this channel and now I'm addicted
I wondered about how they stick to walls once they gained their suits. It could be different with Andrew and Tom's Spidey, but with Tobey's movies, it was established he got his wall crawling abilities from the hairs that are growing from his fingers and possibly toes, but he sticks with shoes on when he first games his climbing abilities. But do they make their suits with a special material that hairs can like through or what? Because it's hard to get many hairs through fabric.
it is mostly because, their limbs generate an adhesive, similar to how we sweat, hence it can extend to the stuff they wear.
Yeah in the raimi trilogy they show the hair, but honestly the hair doesn't necessarily stop tobey's spidey from generating the adhesive
it would just mean he has both the adhesive and the hair,
so his sticking ability would be stronger without the gloves
It is pretty strong adhesive too, he can literally rip ppl's skin off with that!
Kaine (a clone of spidey in the comics, long story that doesn't need to be explained)
regularly uses the ability to stick his hands to ppl's faces and rip off the entire face and kill them!
Spidey just uses it to stick to stuff cause he is constantly holding back in fights cause he doesn't want to kill ppl or damage property much.
The way you turn all movies from either serious or scary to hilarious, cracks me up, love your content please keep it up
Fucking box
NO WAY THIS IS *THE* BOX
He really calls out things that no one does in movies that are absolutely obvious like the direct skin sticking to the wall thing
ruclips.net/video/OShaintA258/видео.html 🕷🕷🕷❤️
I had the same question and did research on the Marvel website and Reddit chains. The majority of information I found said that Spider-Man's wall crawling ability does not depend on Peter touching a surface with his skin. Rather, Peter has the ability to increase the amount of friction between himself and a surface. There is also another explanation that involves Peter using static electricity to stick to surfaces, but static electricity would be too weak to hold Peter to a surface so that explanation doesn't work. And of course, there is also Raimi's version, where Peter uses the hair on his hands and feet to create an electrostatic pull to the surface he wants to stick to. However, Raimi's version fails to explain how Peter uses said hairs through gloves and shoes or how a few hairs could hold an entire person to a wall. In conclusion, Peter increasing the amount of friction between himself and a surface seems like the most reasonable explanation, even though it doesn't make sense for a spider bite to give Peter said ability.
@@H424RD maybe the sole of his gloves and feet is less dense a fabric, and through the holes the little but long hairs can pop through, like when someone doesnt shave but wear pantyhoses. it did always bother me tho.
@@Apostate_ofmind Yes, I believe that Raimi's Peter would be able to use the hairs on his hands since he's just wearing spandex gloves. However, I don't believe the same is true for his shoes. Reason being that if Peter's soles were too thin, he would hurt his feet running on walls and fighting villains. Therefore, Peter must have reasonably thick soles that restrict the hair on his feet from contacting the surfaces he wants to climb.
Edit: Raimi's Peter has stronger than normal feet so he might not require the support of soles but the suit used in the movie does includes soles in his shoes that are reasonably thick. So, I believe it's still fair to say that it's not likely that the hair on Peter's feet can penetrate the soles to contact the surfaces he wants to climb.
How many people do yalll know that grow hair out of the underside of their hands and feet 😂
Put all this effort into the thought process using science but disregard basic human physiology

At 9:45 cell reception in the sewers would be nonexistent. Too much concrete surrounding you would block off the signal. 2 feet of concrete can hold back nuclear radiation, so your cell signal will clearly be blocked unless there's some specific relay.
Very good information, keep up.
2ft of concrete cannot hold back gamma radiation... you need more like 2 meters (6ft) and even then it wont stop it all
Yeah. Just 3 feet of concrete attenuates way over 99 % of a signal, -23 dB or so. The sewers have no cell reception.
7:53 I had this exact same thought in no way home in the bridge scene there. If I had a nickle for whenever a spider-man character tried to kick open a door that was cleary being blocked by bridge, i'd have two nickles, which isn't a lot but its weird it happened twice
I thought it was vaguely familiar! She does the same thing. Tries to open a door rammed against a bridge. It is just as stupid. It'd be easier to break the glass and slide out. Or use the other door. A door will break better than a bridge wall. Or break the glass and get out on the open door.
Or just unlock the door and get out. it would be easy to slide into the front seat, unlock the doors, then get out.
