nobody cares, but I have to write it anyway :D I love the 'raw' Mike in this new channel. It sometimes still surprises me because I am used to MCQBushcraft still, but it's so much fun! Thanks!
Hey, Mike from MCQBushcraft sent me. Subscribed. Good to have found you again. From a guy living in southern California seeing your part of the world and the projects you are working on is all good. All the best to you and your family.
Absolutely, I used them for hunting back in the day. Hopefully again when I get my licence here. Saying that they are getting old though. I've repaired them many times
Mike you are so young, but your knowledge and work around your 4x4 it’s hard to believe. You are professional in my opinion congratulations ,greetings from Australia.
While working on a telecom project in China in 1995, I received some equipment racks with interesting corrosion on them - rust in the shape of a handprint! It seems they weren't properly cleaned before they were galvanized! 😀 Prep _is_ important!
@@WorkshoptoWilderness Lol, no, I was only homeless up until 8 weeks ago. 20 months in a tent in the Scottish Highlands. The paint spraying was something I did back in 1989, I was quite good at it too, got promoted to semi skilled after just 6 months. Sadly the company went under because the owner was done for fraud. Loved that job too.
I've been using Dinitrol ML on the underside of my truck aswell and I was quite surprised how well it has been holding on. The only prepwork I did was wirebrush most of the loose rust away but I didn't even attempt to get it to bare metal.
Hi Mike hope you are doing well , i am an old time sub from the old channel , and loving what you are doing now so i will be watching often :) love the whole overlanding thing :D, i was wondering though , do you and your wife grow at home ? like vegetables and flowers ect ? something i recently got into was urban farming , so i am always curious if others are home farming too :)
Thanks for tuning in and watching the new channel! Glad you enjoy the videos also. My wife really enjoys growing at home. The season is very short here so a greenhouse is a must. She just bought a small one to start with and last year we built a plot for growing in the garden. Its nice to get some vegetables from your own garden, hos it going for you and what are you growing?
They got ripped off when reversing in deep snow. I tried chaining them to help them, but they just didn't survive. I've got two left, and I will add them to the 4.0 when she's ready.
"A homeless man, a hamburger, and some spraypaint, and YOU TOO can have a super awesome, indestructible, trophy winning, panty dropping, man's jeep like me!" Is what you really wanted to say mike. 👍🤌😁😎
I have nothing but love for you. I didn’t miss MC Buscraft, I missed you the your family
This is a stark difference between the bushcraft day's lol
This is the most entertaining bumper painting video I've ever seen.

Towards the end of the video. The eye protection works better if it's covering your eyes, Mike!
I love your XJ but I come here for the comedy 😂
Thank for all advice.
Very nice. One day I will learn to weld.

those noise-cancelling headphones would be nice for a pleasant country bird stalk...

Mike, you're a natural born mechanical engineer!
Good morning Mike. So happy you posted the revised link yesterday. Really looking forward to watching your content once again. Cheers brother.

@@WorkshoptoWilderness Sadly, it was made in USA! 😀
@@JackFalltrades haha 😄 ah no shame in that.
I love the raptor coating, I’m spraying the inner tub of my little Suzuki this summer..thanks for the upload..:)
Looking good!
If you read you wet on wet the paint/raptor straight over your primer (I.e, while the primer is still tacky but not wet) you will get an awesome bond.
Mike, you really are an awesome versatile guy and love the break out of your sense of humour in this channel keep up the good work buddy
Loved the video, Mike!
I've subscribed to support Mike, Megan and Max.
Thanks for subscribing and for the comment! Means a great deal
UPOL Raptor works well for me. Painted my UAZ Buhanka completly with it. Only disadvantage it requires hard rubbing while cleaning
Ha! I was that homeless man, I also used to spray paint commercial vehicles many years ago.
Ah mate, hopefully I didn't dig up some bad memories.

Its really good stuff for rust treatment and prevention. It's supposed to be one of the best.
Yay! 😀
Homeless man here would run away with the raptor liner bastards steal everything lol

What's the risk of that rear tire carrier strut being smashed when the rear end comes down on a rock or ledge?
Its a possibility. Its happened once before but it was about 4 inches lower. I will have to see how it goes or build a skid for it
What happened to the JEEP mud flaps?

what mig welder are you running? and are you running off 120v ?
I'm using a Euromig. Its a 170 I think. .8 wire, running off of 120v.
❤👍👍👍

At one point inhis long documentary, he said something like, "My wife, son, and I live in a cardboard box, but the Jeep is important."
