Agree completely! Frugality isn't about a life of austerity. It's about making wise financial choices so that you can enjoy your life. And if having a dishwasher helps you to enjoy your life, then by all means you should have one if you can afford to.
I’m sorry, a dishwasher is a want and not a need, unless you have a large family (even then it is still technically a want) or a gourmet cook. In the US, most homes have them. But be real, it does not save you an hour, maybe 10 minutes. If it is a chore you hate, it could fell like an hour. If it brings him joy, then great, I’m glad he has one. Just don’t justify it by time as it saves little time.

I own a dishwasher and I still wash/dry dishes by hand. The warm water is relaxing to me. Plus, I get to stare out of the kitchen window while doing so.
For me is easier and faster to wash the dishes by hand, than to acumulate dishes in a dishwasher. That´s great to have for big families or for people whom invite friends etc... For 1-2 people is too expensive to have it and for nothing.
I own a dishwasher and I've lived here 4 1/2 years and I've used it twice. I'm not a fan of me washing dishes by hand but I don't have enough dishes to fill up the dishwasher so I wash by hand. It doesn't take long because my cooking is usually simple so I'm not getting a lot of kitchen items dirty. I'm not opposed to a person using a dishwasher if that's what they prefer.
For the first several years of our married life, we lived in tiny efficiency apartments and later in World War II-era housing, where I was the dishwasher. After a few years of that, I knew I preferred to have a machine do the work. Frugality is not about saving every penny, it's about putting your money to work in a way that makes your life better. If you enjoy washing dishes by hand, it doesn't make sense to buy a dishwasher. On the other hand, if washing dishes by hand is a task you despise, as I do, buying and using a dishwasher could drastically improve the quality of your daily life.
Our cat is very food driven but we’re still crazy about him. My stoic brother shows love and my aloof niece becomes very loving and friendly. My brother even worries about him sleeping too much. Our cat is the best thing to have happened to us.
My new dishwasher only uses 6.5 gallons per load. For my family of 3 I only run it every other day. I think this is being frugal and makes life a bit easier.
You are the person who gives out the best frugal tips, I feel like you have the best logical answers when you explain the behavior because I have now learned why I do some things and I have been doing things how you recommend and they have been working great, you are the best and most humbled human 🥰
Excellent tips. People think that frugality is about saving money. It’s also about saving time. To me, time is more valuable than money because if you lose money, you can always get it back. You can NEVER get time back once it’s gone. I have cleaning tools and techniques that would make cheap people gasp in horror (dishwasher, iRobot, Dyson, housekeeper once a week), but they save me hours of time where I actually have leisure time on the weekends instead of spending most of my weekend doing housekeeping.
Value to your life is key. I took out a loan to buy me a home after having saved for years to make the down payment. I worked three jobs, pinched pennies and I can't say I felt carefree during that time but finished paying in seven years, not ten which was the original length of the loan. Having my own home is important to me because I grew up in an unhappy family, then left and was barely scraping by, despite having a scholarship for college, then had a bad marriage. When I moved in, despite worrying about the debt, I kept thinking how I was never again going to share living quarters with someone who disrespected me. Most my furniture is second hand and I duckorated with my own artwork
So excited about Star! Yes, you need to have enough money to pay for a dog's needs, but you can't really put a dollar figure on a relationship with a dog--it's priceless. As a former dog owner I recommend exploring not-for-profit organizations like the Humane Society that offer lower-cost medical care for pets. We brought our two chihuahuas there for many years: the only downside was that you needed to schedule an appointment far ahead of time, prepay (a non-refundable expense), and sometimes wait for a while in the waiting room as they were usually very busy. Toward the end of their lives we started using the local vet just because it was literally around the corner, but up till then we used the Humane Society and received top-notch service. Most of the costs of pet ownership are usually toward the end, so in the meantime keep the dog healthy and active, which I'm sure you will. Hope she (he?) makes more video appearances in the future!
Yeah, you can't put a price on an animal. I got her from a humane society and yeah I'm going to find a lower cost vet as I know they can get crazy expensive. It's a girl and I'll try to fit her in more!
Ha ha I do the same thing when I eat out. If it’s something that I know how to cook myself, it doesn’t make sense to pay for it.🤷🏽♀️ I’m the same with DIY in the house. I only pay electricians & plumbers. If it’s painting or light carpentry, I will do it myself
Well, I live in a 2-people household and we run our dishwasher every 2-3 days... who says you gotta run it every day :D If I'm running low on spoons, I will hand wash one or two, depends what we need. Same with mugs etc. But every 2 to 3 days there is enough in the dishwasher to run it. And of course I don't put dirty dishes there, everything is rinsed, so nothing is rotting etc! It saves me counter space that I'd have to use for drying the dishes otherwise, do it in few batches and so on.
Star looks sweet! You are so right about the dishwasher. Although I consider myself frugal, I had to forgo doing dishes by hand due to a skin disorder. The money the dishwasher has saved me in doctors bills alone is staggering. You do you! Congratulations on your new addition 🐕
You have a great program filled with important money advice. Don’t listen to the boobs who criticize you. You make a difference in my life of simplicity.
Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. Well, at least my advisor does too, jokingly.
Investors should exercise caution with their exposure and exercise caution when considering new investments, particularly during periods of inflation. It is advisable to seek guidance from a professional or trusted advisor in order to navigate this recession and achieve potential high yields.
This is superb! Information, as a noob it gets quite difficult to handle all of this and staying informed is a major cause, how do you go about this are you a pro investor?
Due to my demanding job, I lack the time to thoroughly assess my investments and analyze individual stocks. Consequently, for the past seven years, I have enlisted the services of a fiduciary who actively manages my portfolio to adapt to the current market conditions. This strategy has allowed me to navigate the financial landscape successfully, making informed decisions on when to buy and sell. Perhaps you should consider a similar approach.
My CFA ’Margaret Johnson Arndt’ , a renowned figure in her line of work. I recommend researching her credentials further. She has many years of experience and is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market.
Great tips! Sad to hear that people criticized you about getting a dishwasher…. The internet can be a terrible place. You are right to ignore the haters. Your dog is adorable ❤❤❤
WoW once a week would be a habit in my book. I usually try and not get takeout foods. We try and leave it for when I am weak and cannot cook to allow me to rest and restore my health back. Like tonight, we had Chinese food, but I had two very long days and a TIA this past Saturday night. I have TIAs. We are trying to keep actual full Stoke away. I have been lucky, even though I get TIAs very often and when I am very stressed. WoW, when I purchased a pair of shoes I do remember where and were I purchased them. I know exactly where I purchased my pair of 8 year old boots. I know what day I purchased my three pairs of Clarks. That same day we purchased my son's most lasting shoes (they are a mix of boots and tennis shoes.) my most soft socks ever, two years and two months ago. My favorite pair of boots were white and I bought those 1991 in June for $30 in clearance. I wore them till they had holes on the soles, just like my other favorite shoes that my parents got for me on holiday in Mexico. I personally know were most of my things have been purchased because, I am very peculiar about the things I like. Especially if I purchased on a wim, which I seldom do. Maybe things you purchased are not that special or you don't put to much effort. About the dishwasher, I do believe that smart frugal people own dishwashers. They saved water and time. If you run it at appropriate hours you save on electricity that means more money in your pocket. Less money on meds too, what I mean is I have arthritis and andcarpal tunnel syndrome, this means less pain because I am blessed to have a Dishwasher. Less time on my feet too❣️🫣😂❤🎉
Chinese Food makes my blood pressure very high. It’s generally very high in sodium. Maybe treat yourself to another favorite. Hope the TIA’s stop for u.💗
Congrats on your dog! I myself got a stray cat 3 years ago for "free" and it costs me around 100€/month for food, litter and vet expenses. They are the best 100€ I spend every month though, and it's creating me memories forever. I hope you enjoy your dog :)
When I saw your dishwasher video, I was happy for you, because you truly seemed relieved, and also thought to myself that when I live alone, I’ll probably hand wash. We are both allowed to have these thoughts. Meanwhile, hooray for Star! I can’t imagine that I’ll ever be in a position to get one again..pet her for me and tell her she’s a good girl!💕
I'm gonna be honest. I'm subscribed to multiple frugal channels, but yours is the only one that brings new things/lessons to the table! Identifying a purchase as the beginning or ending of spending is a first for me. Despite how simple and chilled your videos are, you sure dig too deep into the content you make. Thank you ❤️
It's wise to spend money on things that bring pleasure to your life. I also go out for coffee and some meals out. I make it a treat. Yes, I could make coffee at home every day. I've founds sometimes it's good to be in a coffee shop for a change of scenery. For me, it's also a nice place to meet friends. We usually choose meeting in coffee shops in central locations where people can another errand or two while they're in the area.
There are 4 people in my family, and we have a dishwasher. It's been especially important to me since I started to save up money and cook all the meals. It would be just impossible to wash everything by hand - the pots, pans, utensils. I feel like doing the dishes would be the only thing I would have time for if I didn't have the machine.
I love having a dishwasher! It disinfects your dishes too. The people I know that hand wash dishes by choice only eat light meals and don’t cook often.
Austin, I love my dishwasher and I use it unapologetically whenever I need to enjoy yours as well. Thank you for all your wonderful financial advice. 😊
I washed my clothes by hand for a year and a half in Ecuador and after that it also made me see the beauty of a washing machine. It's an all day task to clean clothes by hand and uses an insane amount of water!
@@ElAgustinOne cannot compare a washing machine to a dishwasher. Washing clothes by hand and washing dishes by hand are two entirely different things, in difficulty, effort and time. My grandmother said that the washing machine was one of the best inventions, but rarely used her dishwasher. I love my dishwasher as it is a very large draining rack that allows my hand washed dishes to dry and not take up counter space. If the dishwasher brings you joy, then I am happy you have one.
I’m 76 and have always made everything from scratch. When we recently got Covid for the first time and I didn’t feel like cooking, I realized I don’t know HOW to buy convenience foods. There was nothing in this house but ingredients. There will now be a shelf with soup, Hamburger Helper, and whatever else I can figure out. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks.
Congratulations on the pup! Thanks fir your continued uploads, I'm off to explore some new walks with my doggo 🐕🦺
I get those comments from time to time also which to me, says more about where they are coming from then what you said. Keep doing what you're doing and just don't overthink it. I enjoy your videos.
Hi Austin - owning a pet does not have to be an expensive experience(but it is a chore). Some cities have vets that offer basic vaccines, heart worm prevention and flea prevention at very affordable prices. Sometimes the SPCAs have vets as well that offer services to clients. If not, you can call the SPCA(or rescue shelters) and see if they know of affordable vets. I typically take my dogs to the vet once a year only for their routine check, yearly vaccine, rabies shot(though that one is only required every three years now) and heart-worm prevention pills. As far as flea and tick prevention goes, I only do that four months out of the year(mid Jun through mid October), which is mainly the summer season where I live. Since you are in GA, you could probably do it only 6 to 8 months, and your dog will be fine. Fleas and ticks are basically inactive during the winter, like flies. Last but not least, you don't have to run to the vet for anything and everything. Sometimes dogs vomit, have diarrhea, or don't feel like eating, and it's perfectly normal. As far as food goes, please don't go for the cheapest. I usually bulk up when the better brands are on sale and I have coupons. Good luck, and Im so happy for all the joy Star is going to bring you.
Unfortunately, just like with humans, one cannot predict what one’s pets will need (healthcare) in the future. My advice is to prepare for either possibility and have a healthy saving dedicated for your pet(s).
You make valid points. I too look at additional costs. I learned this from the dog issue as a kid. My mother said we needed the money to go to the dentist. Otherwise, Money is needs (roof over your head), emotional and habits formed. It takes complete conviction and intention to make any changes.
Cute doggie! Star is a nice name😊 and don't change a thing. Frugal people are in my opinion divided into 2 groups. Your videos are so helpful! Thanks for the tips, they are helpful yet relealistic! This year I decided to invest more in experiences than stuff. Also there's nothing wrong with having a dishwasher. As a wife and mom it's super helpful especially if you have a toddler. When we had to get ours replaced not having it was a pain. It saves time. I bet those people who criticized aren't washing their clothes by hand! lol
Break the rools every now and then. Yes it's a must!!! Your going to have such fun and love with Star. I love all your videos. Trish from Scotland ❤ xx
The comments section you highlighted is an illustration of the difference between being "frugal" and being "cheap". Cheap people will bend over backwards to save 5 cents and, in doing so, come off as not valuing their time and mental well being or the time and well being of others, hence the negative stereotype the term carries. Frugal people are intentional with where they spend their time and energy and are willing to spend money on things that add value to their lives while not spending money on things that they don't derive much utility from. What it looks like to be frugal varies from person to person because everyone' s lifestyle is different. I'm a frugal person, but I value having a dishwasher, laundry machine and clothes dryer. I'm sure some of the viewers will think these items are excessive. I don't value eating out a lot or buying new clothes unless there is something wrong with items in my current rotation. Frugality is all about balance, not a dogmatic drive to minimize all financial expenditures possible.
I am a typical crazy cat lady with 20+ cats. The love & joy they bring me is priceless! Each month I plan to buy myself something (blouse, bath product, etc) for the next month. Waiting a month gives me time to change my mind and it creates excitement for me! My spending is a conscious decision and not a spur of the moment feel good spree.
It depends on the stuff you buy, l bought a Steinway piano and it brings me endless joy. I know how to tune and maintenance it, sometimes “things” do enrich your life. Managing money is an art in many ways. It’s weighing the present moment with future, balancing enjoying your life now in valuable ways and when to save. Everyone values different things. You can be frugal and buy the dishwasher if it adds value to your life. Or a Steinway piano.
First its a dishwasher, next thing you know he’ll buy a toilet and running water. Anyway, the complexity tip and the expenses begin/end tip were very useful things i havent heard before
I knew you would cave on the dog eventually no matter what you said previously. The love of hiking always spoke “ you need a dog” to me, and it will be worth every red cent a million times over!!! Uncle El Augustine has become even the more favorite because he now comes with a Star :)
I love dogs! I wasn't ready to commit to one as it's such a big commitment, but now I feel like I'm ready. And my last apartment didn't allow animals anyways. I'll have her until I'm in my 40s which is so crazy to think! This is just the first week!

Retired nurse/paralegal reporting in. I have a 4 and 1/2 year old jack russell mix. I save money even though i dont get a lot for my social security (I was self-employed some of the time). You can go to the local spay-neuter clinic many times and get shots flea meds ,etc. Ours also will do dental work. (I do my dogs teeth myself except for surgery obviously. If you can get their mouth open use a small sonic roothbrush. Hold it up to their ears until they can handle the sound. I use coconut oil and baking soda as toothpaste). I also just got pet insurance so a big bill does not wipe me out. It only costs $40 a month pays 90% of the bill with a $300 deductible and 10000 a year in bills) I rent a small 900 sq ft home and so i wanted a smaller breed. I knew I'd travel at times too and the weight limit is 21 lbs. On a plane in cabin You put her in a cat carrier and she goes underneath the seat. My dog has topped out at 15 lbs. My dog is jet black and has a moderately thick coat so she likes the snow. I also considered cost of food and spay costs because of my budget. Omg, you are my doppelgänger in mind. I think and do everything to every detail you‘ve mentioned. 😂 There’s a difference between between being cheap and being frugal. My boyfriend, who’s a splurger, taught me to treat myself. Together we‘re mindful money spenders. 😄😄 About the dishwasher: this machine is a must in my kitchen. When i moved and had to wait months for my dishwasher delivery, so i can really see the improvement of my life quality before and after dishwasher. One new thing for me that i took out from this video was the treating myself not as a habit: I actually indulge myself in pastry every morning, because i live in Vienna: we have such good stuff in the bakery - and i enjoy spending up to 3$ every work day, because i can afford it, so why not? It‘s just a small sum. But the thing is that i don’t appreciate that little luxury as much as i used to do, because it‘s not special anymore. Besides it‘s not healthy. (I eat oats now. And go out for dinner, while picking only meals that I can’t prepare at home, really exactly same approach here.😉) Thank you! 😊
I pretty much use the same bowl, plate and cup for most things. It’s the silverware. Since I have lots of silverware it piles up in the sink. Wanted my ex who was an inventor to make me a small dishwasher just for silverware. He didn’t. I’ve had a dishwasher in the past but have been without for over twenty five years. It’s nice just to hide the dirty dishes. If there had been a dishwasher in this house I would have used it and replaced it twice probably. I regret not buying the top loading 1955 version I saw at an estate sale that went with my 1955 kitchen. Had no way of getting it home. It was portable even….no plumber involved.
We have had a dishwasher in our present home and our previous home (a total of more than 36 years) and we almost always choose to hand wash and dry our dishes. This is not to save money, although we probably do, it is because we find it easier and everything is clean and put away in no time in one go. As a person who tends towards all or nothing, I have found it hard to balance frugality with allowing for treats and easing up on the rules.Balancing frugality with treats is more sustainable and brings appreciation for the good things in life. I'm excited to hear more about Star in your videos. A pet is an ongoing expense but also an ongoing return for your time and money in unconditional love and companionship.
EEEEKKKKK Star is so freaking adorable!!! Best way to spend money! I love rule #7 and wrote it down so I can remember this each time we make a major purchase.
If you overwork and then leave stuff around your sink over night, it will make it harder to have energy in the morning and actually get to make make and eat breakfast. Have a good breakfast in the morning even if you need to get it delivered and make sure your kitchen is prepared for the next morning for finally cooking as usual.
Congrats on your new family member! I agree with you about the power of intentional purchases, whatever they may be. I also think there isn’t a one-size-fits-all formula for frugality. For me, I like to cook and to eat well, so I focus on making interesting meals at home and don’t often go out to restaurants. And you bet your boots I use my dishwasher. The savings on food to me outweighs the energy cost of the appliance. We each have to prioritize our choices so we can enjoy our lives. Thanks, Austin!

Oh yes, I used to eat breakfast out every day. Now I only do it as a treat. It was hard to break the eat out habit but I did it. I make my own coffee at home and buy my Duncan coffee at Costco in the big container. I'm saving a lot of money.
I'm curious, do you allow your dog to sit on your couch?
Apparently you’re not really supposed to, but I would if I had a dog x
Not on the couches but we do have a couple chairs that she is allowed to sit on. They were cheap and specifically for her.
No
He allows me to sit on his couch. Sometimes he even makes room for me in the bed. (That's a yes.)

Star is gorgeous. Your viewing figures are going to shoot through the roof. I choose frugality in order to go to Paris a few times a year.
My new dishwasher only uses 6.5 gallons per load. For my family of 3 I only run it every other day. I think this is being frugal and makes life a bit easier.
VERY. Washing by hand uses 4x that much!
I agree with you! When I buy takeout I make sure I only eat half and save some for another meal
Me too. I split it before I go to eat it so I have a cut off period! The portion is way too big anyway for me.
8:48 Maybe people are expecting you doing the dishes in the river, only because you have channel about frugality 😄 BTW, I'm demanding outdoor vlog.
You are the person who gives out the best frugal tips, I feel like you have the best logical answers when you explain the behavior because I have now learned why I do some things and I have been doing things how you recommend and they have been working great, you are the best and most humbled human 🥰
Thanks for your kind words!
I LOVE that “does the spending begin or end?”. Thank you so much for these videos!
What a cute dog. He will bring you great companionship and ALWAYS be there for you Austin. Congrats!! [Seattle WA]
Yeah, it takes me a few days to fill one up!
I live in a 2 family house and we use it daily looll. Sometimes a couple times per day. living that bougie life I guess.....
Star looks sweet! You are so right about the dishwasher. Although I consider myself frugal, I had to forgo doing dishes by hand due to a skin disorder. The money the dishwasher has saved me in doctors bills alone is staggering. You do you! Congratulations on your new addition 🐕
Ignore the haters. You have a dish washer good for you. Star is adorable
Yay!! You got a puppy. They bring an endless amount of joy to your life and you have a new hiking buddy. Worth every penny
You have a great program filled with important money advice. Don’t listen to the boobs who criticize you. You make a difference in my life of simplicity.
Absolutely agree 👍🏼
Please can you leave the info of your investment advisor here? I’m in dire need for one
My CFA ’Margaret Johnson Arndt’ , a renowned figure in her line of work. I recommend researching her credentials further. She has many years of experience and is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market.
😂 I tell people: with my current lifestyle, I wont need a million dollars in 40 years I just need a little bit of money now😅❤
Great tips! Sad to hear that people criticized you about getting a dishwasher…. The internet can be a terrible place. You are right to ignore the haters. Your dog is adorable ❤❤❤
Your new puppy is adorable! Enjoy your new addition! 💗
Thanks! It's been entertaining having her around.
As you get older your experiences are invaluable.
Thank you ❤️
Star will be a great addition to your life Austin pup-a-roos are the best friends we can have! She's a beauty : )
Congratulations on getting Star. She’s adorable and will no doubt, bring so much joy to your life!!!
I love my dishwasher and my clothes washer. 😂❤🎉. It gives me more time to do stuff I want to do. Have a great Austin!!
I always keep a few pre-made batch cooked things in the freezer for days when I just don't want to cook. Normally a nice chunky veg casserole etc.
Congratulations on the pup! Your time, money, and heart us no longer your own 😉😘
I've had my 'significant other' in my life for coming up 14 years, and the little fella has been the hub of our family, and brings so much joy, and fun. There's nothing like dragging one's sorry exhausted ass over the threshold, and be greeted by a Tsunami of love, fun and affection. Thanks fir your continued uploads, I'm off to explore some new walks with my doggo 🐕🦺
I get those comments from time to time also which to me, says more about where they are coming from then what you said. Keep doing what you're doing and just don't overthink it. I enjoy your videos.
I LOVE Star! Please show her often and frequently. Good video too.
Congrats on your new pupper, she's super cute! And ignore the anti-dishwasher idiots. They are missing the point of frugality.
Congratulations on your new pup and your dishwasher!
Congrats on the pooch! Pets are expensive but they are worth it. 😊🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
You make valid points. I too look at additional costs. I learned this from the dog issue as a kid. My mother said we needed the money to go to the dentist. Otherwise, Money is needs (roof over your head), emotional and habits formed. It takes complete conviction and intention to make any changes.
I think shes your greatest purchase.
Such a beautiful pup
Me too, I love having a dishwasher because it saves time.
The time is more valuable than money
Cute doggie! Star is a nice name😊 and don't change a thing. Frugal people are in my opinion divided into 2 groups. One who use common sense and live a balanced responsible life and those who are extremist with untreated OCD😅
You (and I) and all your supporters belong to the former.
And yes, life is a game of contrasts. Let's keep it interestesting, Ladies and gentlemen (stole that last part from you😂) I enjoy your content❤
😂😂😂
Articulated some of the ideas I have had and developed over the years and introduced me to some new ways of looking at things. Sometimes it's not so much about what you know, but from what perspective you're looking from.
Hi Austin, Your content is so awesome 😊 You are a very authentic person. Its awesome you got a dish washer. Congratulations !!!! You deserve and need it... Your videos are real and brings everyone alot of joy. Keep up the great work !!!! We love you ❤
Thanks!!!
Trish from Scotland ❤ xx
rules?
Don’t explain and don’t complain. Love your new puppy, Star❤
Cheap people also don’t value other people’s time and work.
Nailed it! 👏👏👏
Austin, a dog is right there up at the top with the best investments you’ll ever make! Star is absolutely precious! Enjoy every moment. 🥰
We are recently back from a cruise, because fortunately we did not go overboard.🥳
lol
It depends on the stuff you buy, l bought a Steinway piano and it brings me endless joy. I know how to tune and maintenance it, sometimes “things” do enrich your life. Managing money is an art in many ways. It’s weighing the present moment with future, balancing enjoying your life now in valuable ways and when to save. Everyone values different things. You can be frugal and buy the dishwasher if it adds value to your life. Or a Steinway piano.
First its a dishwasher, next thing you know he’ll buy a toilet and running water. Anyway, the complexity tip and the expenses begin/end tip were very useful things i havent heard before
LOL Too funny!!!!
@@ElAgustin our oldest dog is 17, yep seventeen, and still runs around begging for treats :). And, yes, we did have a quincinera for her!
I agree with 99.9% of what you say. I always have. Very good, intentional, wise and smart advice!! You go boy ✅ __ I’m pretty good with money TBH but the amount of thought that you put into your presentations can always make anyone more informed. BTW: Love ❤️ your dog__ introduce him to your audience. Congratulations and enjoy your new experience. rd
If it was 100%, then my channel would be a cult and that's not my intentions!
Aww love the puppy footage! And the rest of the video too. :)
When you add a small piece of info like that the comment sections explodes, haha!
Yes! Those once in a while treats,/ complex meals--make life more satisfying.
In the airport they will let you walk your dog. I got my dog at rescue about 2 hours from where i live. We are getting 4 inches of snow today and a winter storm advisory was posted. My dog is jet black and has a moderately thick coat so she likes the snow. I also considered cost of food and spay costs because of my budget. You can also cook vet recomended dog food recipes of your own. I love listening to your shows because you are so much smarter with your money than I was at your age. I wish now i had been that smart. Keep up the great work and give star a hug from my dog ruby jean
Best regards Becky 70 years young
Your money to spend as you want. Your puppy is priceless.
That's my philosophy as well. Nice to hear that I'm not alone.
Congratulations on your baby girl !!! 💖 🐾 🐾
Great video!! I loved the dishwasher analysis, totally agree 👍
Congratulations on your new fur baby. Hopefully you include her in some of your future videos.
Cat owner here...Having a cat/dog can change your life like nothing that you can buy with money. I believe that you have made a wise choose.🙂
Thanks for showing Star at the end of the video. I hope we see him/her often.
Omg, you are my doppelgänger in mind. I think and do everything to every detail you‘ve mentioned. 😂
There’s a difference between between being cheap and being frugal.
My boyfriend, who’s a splurger, taught me to treat myself. Together we‘re mindful money spenders. 😄😄
About the dishwasher: this machine is a must in my kitchen.
And go out for dinner, while picking only meals that I can’t prepare at home, really exactly same approach here.😉)
Thank you!
I enjoy your videos. They make so much sense.
BTW Star is beautiful! Congratulations my friend. Having a dog is so worth it!
Definitely, she brings much joy to the house!
I’m so happy for you! Pets are one thing I have NEVER regretted spending money on. 💛
🌟 Couldn't agree more ❤
I lead similar life and love watching your vdos.
Regards,
LOVE STAR, GREAT PURCHASE!
She's brought a lot of joy already!
EEEEKKKKK Star is so freaking adorable!!! Best way to spend money! I love rule #7 and wrote it down so I can remember this each time we make a major purchase.
Congratulations on the new fur baby!
Having watched quite a few of your videos [has to be less than 10% of your channel] through some days, i would like to congratulate you on your work.
What you say is basically common sense (which is widely forgotten or is considered passe).
Our inner voice usually tells us most of the advice that your transmit to us, and the channel is basically a confirmation of that.

Yes!!! Love love love your doggo! So happy for you!
Estrella!!! 🤩 so cute! 😍 Congratulations!
Thank you for your content Agustin! In the middle of binging it all, and have already saved more than I ever had in the past decade. I appreciate you! And enjoy your dishwasher 😉
Or a Spanish speakers pronounce is "Estar!"
Cute puppy. I have 5 dogs myself, they def aren't cheap but totally worth it.
Star is a gem. Congratulations!
My two rescue kitties, Vader and Kittay, are worth every penny I spend on their wellbeing. Their love is unconditional.
Dishwashers save time and are efficient; no need to run them every day. Forget the naysayers.
Keep up the excellent content, Austin.
Congrats on your doggie! She’s beautiful 🐶.
I ♥️ Star 🙂 congratulations. Dogs are the most beautiful wonderful friends in the world. She’s beautiful ❣️
Congratulations on your new fur baby. They, truly are a blessing...
Star is your best investment! ❤🐾
I’m so happy you got a dog. How exciting! Maybe she will make a Guest appearance on your channel someday!
She'll probably make many guest appearances! Let's just say she'll be the star of the show!
Sweet Pup ❤ btw about the dishwasher… I was stunned when You said it’s taking You even up to 1 hour to do your dishes by hand 😅
Oh yes, I used to eat breakfast out every day. Now I only do it as a treat. It was hard to break the eat out habit but I did it. I make my own coffee at home and buy my Duncan coffee at Costco in the big container. I'm saving a lot of money.
omg - Star is adorable! I'm so happy for you. Congratulations! Hope we get to see more clips her in the future.
