50 wrote in his book he bumped into him a couple years back while meeting with their jeweler and tried to catch up w him and his son shy’d him away then his son sped out hopped in a car and drove off. He said he’s been tried to make a relationship, but the mother of his son made it difficult and his son chose to believe it even as he got older. He also said his son is too buddy buddy with people who wanted him dead and regardless of where their relationship stands that he should never be friends with 50’s enemies.
Maybe 50 should have tried harder and set his gangster ego aside because that’s still his child and he cannot fault his child for things his mom taught him because that is his child too! He created him and that child is grown now. He missed pivotal moments in his life. okay let’s say it is his moms fault why but 50 is too damn smart to go publicly and say he doesn’t love his child and call him names and think it’s not his damn fault too. He’s literally asking for time with him now. As a parents you have to put your feelings to the side sometimes. Thank god mg parents didn’t hang everything I did as a child over my head and your it as an excuse to not show me love as an adult. The love of a parent is supposed to be unconditional, not til they 18 and not only if their get along with the other parent. And clearly money doesn’t equate to love. 50 obviously has a foul character even outside how he treats his son. We see how he treats others on the internet as well. Well I would like for marquise and his father to have a sit down and talk about the issues with one another and open up with understanding listen to each other too I wish marquise luck
First of all, a TAX FREE $6700 per month is a lot of money, especially in the 2000's when he was actually a kid and growing up. On top of that, 50 literally bought them a house in Atlanta. The vast majority of people in the U.S. will never make $80k/year in their entire life. Much less a tax free $80k with a free place to live.
Second, if he wants to talk to 50 and repair their relationship, he shouldn't be talking shit on social media and doing this TMZ shit for clout. He should pick up the phone and call his fucking dad.
This is so sad because even if he does try to make it up with his dad, fifty will always question his motives. Is he trying to make up because the money is drying up? They will both have to work hard to restore a good relationship while keeping money out of the equation. Only then will fifty to be able to see whether his intentions are genuine. The son will have to man up and explain why he is so hurt and angry with his father, and fifty will have to listen and understand whether his reasons are genuine or not. Maybe it’s just me but this whole story hits different. Having grown up with a toxic mother and a father who was established and well off I can understand being put in a situation where as a child you are fed negativity about your father that later colors your perspective. That is not Marquise fault. He was a child. It takes growing up and seeing reality for what it is that you begin to understand that everything you may have been told or held to be true was not quite the truth. It sucks that a lot of times bitter and disgruntled women ruin the relationships between fathers and their children but it is a reality that happens. My father and I were able to gain understanding and some sort of relationship but the amount of time that was wasted in the interim is something I’ll never really get back. I’m not saying 50 completely blameless, but that neither here nor there. What he could do is contribute to making the relationship with his son less adversarial. I don’t think this is a good look.
He is blameless because, like your father you didn't acknowledge anything he could have done better. As men, we have to do better. As men, we have to call out our boys who aren't taking care of their children or in their lives because women do. Your father, and 50 if "well off" have more means than a poor mother to get custody or share custody of their child. Men don't care so sons are left out here trying to figure out life by themselves. They are EQUALLY responsible.

Lots of times the children are more wise and have an intuitive approach....knowing either that things just don't work out sometimes, or that someone is trying to manipulate them. Because Dads do it too.
I'd go over to my Dads on the weekend and he'd talk shit about my Mom, and when I was at my Mom's she'd do the same. So I knew from early on they just weren't meant to be together.

He didn't want this convo when he was getting 6700 a month. Now he ain't getting and he seeing how it really was alot or enough to live now that he ain't got it. Poor kid at rock bottom and it's his mommas fault. I know cause I went through something similar and I'm just a guy with a job. It can be repaired but 50 a man of principles, your gonna have to come correct with good intentions and good faith and if u don't 50 will see right through it and go back to his life and leave him out there. He better be willing to be humble and show work ethic and contribute to what his father built and over time slowly they can build but it all starts with him and 50 has to believe him.
