Awesome job! I've been hoping.more videos would come up of this, if you need/want more mannequin heads I inherited a shit ton from beauty school that have little to no hair! And would love a new home lol ☺️
I've spent months looking for a video tutorial on how to repaint plastic and fiberglass mannequin heads from start to finish, and have gotten nowhere. If anyone knows who puts out these types of tutorials please let me know. Thanks in advance, Sally
Hi Debbie was just wondering whether you could help me out. I have 2 full body mannequins that I would like to change the colour and some repairs damaged finger and eyebrow on one. The other doesn't have eyes and would like to give her some! Any help ..Much appreciated!
I brought it from my local craft store, but you can buy them online from places like Aliexpress or Amazon I believe? Some are for cosmetology which have hair but otherwise you can buy them without :)
Va Bella Hi! I just used regular colouring pencils (Crayola/Faber Castell). It really helps to use primer (or paint like I did) to help the pencils grip better to this kind of rubber/plastic 🌟
I'm sorry- plz refresh me here: how exactly did u remove the paint? Was it w/ a non-acetone nail polish remover? I know some ppl use that method, but I had a hard time understanding what u said for when u removed the paint. Thx! And OMG, TYVM for this immaculate tutorial! I'm on the brink of planning to do a reprint to a mannequin I have as well as cutting & styling the hair, etc. I've had some salon hair experiences but never anything like sculpting or 3D face objects yet! So, thx again a bunch!
Hi! It was an acetone nail polish remover. I don't think the acetone percentage was very high though since it took a bit of scrubbing to get the paint off haha. So happy to hear this was helpful for you! Best of luck with your project 😄
I guess you like mannequins. Good. I just was searching them in Google, and came across this. Wanna see some mannequin videos you've never seen anything like?
Great job. She looks like a painting in a gallery 🕊️🕊️🕊️

This is amazing!!!
That mannequin got a super dome!🤣🤣🤣
The head looks awesome..I do these quite often too. I use a fixative spray to seal the mediums used.
Debbie Thomson Thank you! I will definitely be getting some fixative when the stores are open again. What spray do you use? ❤️
