Can people stop saying things like “new owners and the Sir Jim and INEOS era” we’re still in the Glazer era. Sir Jim/INEOS have basically just been given responsibility but the Glazers still own the club. While I am glad that we are seeing some good as you’ve said, the root issue still remains unsolved and that’s the problem and why the club likely still won’t move forward for a while.

Believe Greenwood should stay as long as he is not a player distraction. He is a very good player and with him , Rasmus, Mainoo and Garnacho, this is a strong nucleus to build around.

The club, with access to material not in the public domain, even came out and said he was innocent. But apparently he's guilty because you say so, and to hell with the law. @@joekavanagh7171 They don’t have to say anything, the fact that Man United decided to distance themselves speaks volumes. The club have never said he was innocent, because they aren’t in the position to make that determination for certain. After all, no trial took place.
The law sees him as innocent of course, because that’s how people should be seen in a court of law by default, unless a prosecutor can prove otherwise. But a trial never went ahead. Why? Your guess is as good as mine. The court of public opinion is different however, and doesn’t need a legal system to realise that what is happening in the recordings is wrong. Trial never went ahead? Fine. But no one is under any legal obligation to associate with him, and fans have every right to object to his return, should it happen. Moral standards don’t just disappear just because “it’s football” - Not many people would associate with someone like that in everyday life, why should they then cheer for someone like that at a game?
Side note: I’m curious - If you heard a recording of someone clearly murdering someone for example, would you disregard it if charges were simply dropped? And would you happily forget about it and welcome back that someone if he was simply a decent player? 🤣 My point being, there was nothing innocent about the recordings of Mason, and people are allowed to continue recognising that unless he or anyone else has an alternative explanation for what the hell we heard. If you’re comfortable listening to something like that and still be willing to welcome him back with open arms, then something is wrong 😆 Our moral standards aren’t determined by the legal system, it’s the other way around - Our moral standards dictate how the legal system makes its judgements.
