  • Hi Everyone,
Paul down here at CCRV, you know the story by now!
Having a chat in this one with a customer called Rick who's worked from their unit, toured in it and lived on it full time. Rick own's a Rockwood 2622RK which he's pulled with a 3.0 Navara. Rick's done some customisations inside to make it perfect for him and his partner Kimberly - another example of making one of our RV's into your own home.
Rick stumbled across our 5th wheels when thinking about getting a motorhome or a Winnebago, ended up buying one of our Rockwoods and hasn't looked back. It's interesting listening to his story as it hits many of the things we hear from a lot of our customers.
It was great talking to Rick, appreciate the time - we take no offence to saying our RV's look odd!
Hope you enjoy it folks. Got any questions just drop it in the comments and we'll get back to you.
All the best from Team CCRV

Excellent video. Really good. It's amazing that a relative 'newbie' has worked out so much in such a short space of time🤣. Brilliant idea, I keep telling my kids to think about this way of life instead of one tethered to a huge mortgage or renting. In fact if i had to rent i'd personally buy a setup like this to live in (no brainer). I will come and visit you guy's at some point when I get close enough to Mildenhall. Bringing the wife (the boss🤣) and i'm expecting you guy's to convert her from caravan and Disco 4 to 5th wheel and truck. Good luck 🤣

Out of interest, is the Navara up plated to 3501kg or greater due to issues with the body length? Or is the C1+E requirement because of the 3500kg trailer limit on a B+E?

If you’re talking about 5th Wheel it’s the train wait that is important. The Navara 3 L is six tonne standard train weight and can be upgraded to 7 tonne train White. Hope this helps your thinking of Caravan, law off of a tow bar on 5th Wheel it is a combined weight of the trailer and the truck and passengers fuel et cetera that is important

@@CCRVUK Thanks for taking the time to respond. It wasn't the maximum towing capacity I was wondering about though. My question was why it requires a C1+E rather than a B+E licence. The Navara can normally be driven upto its maximum train weight with a normal trailer and a B+E licence. So I wondered why these outfits require a C1+E instead.

@@guitarman256 oh I’m with you it’s so confusing as I understand it the B plus E allows you to drive up to 7 ton if that’s the case you legally can tow with you on the bar of 5th Wheel most of my customers have the C1 plus e license grandfather writes past test Pre 1997 it’s really confusing if the B+e is 7 ton train your okay? Hope this helps. I’m as confused as you all the best Paul.
