Why did you switch shield for the pontif ? Is the parry easier or stronger with a light shield that a medium one ? Very nice run overall ! I learned so much about the game mechanics thanks to you ^^
+Ultimate PlayStation If I'm not mistaken he switches to the Shield of Want (known in the english version) which increases the souls you gain, he does this after the boss fight since it takes time for the souls to register as obtained and by switching to the shield during this brief time frame increases the amount you gain overall. This tactic can be used with Medicant's Staff, Symbol of Avarice and Silver Covetous Ring (+) for great effect.
IF you hold down it will automatically go to the first item in your quick slot bar, which will probably be your estus. No need to cycle through everything.

Good run! One question, why do you switch your shield for a shield you can't use and a few seconds later switch it back?
